She must have had two, then, because I saw her driving the red 'vette many times.  Also, from a McDonald's commercial:

Perhaps my mind melded this commercial and the car I saw in front of Moore-Hill.  Memory is weird. Like the the time Earl Campbell gave Mackovic a concussion by running into him out of bounds.

I was under the impression that it was because he was banging some strange and his wife told him if he wanted a second chance they had to move.

Everyone knows the best place to take a husband with a wandering eye is to southern cal.  Get away from all the temptations.

As I type that I realize I have a friend who has that exact same thing happen to him.  Had an affair in Texas wife demanded a move to LA.

    Fuck those guys.

I don't think you can say fuck the homos in polite company anymore.  Nor on surly.

For some reason I remember white instead of red.

Definitely could be, but in my old severely alcohol damaged brain I see red with MRY LOU plates parked right in front of Moore  Hill and jester.  But that was a looong time ago and I was (am?) a bit of a dumbass

Between her and Carl Lewis, our family probably got 30+ free Mcdonald's meals back in 1984.   Get well Soon Mary Lou!

I was telling my kids about that the other day. Oh we just won a silver in women's judo 125 pound class?  Very disappointing, but I'll take my fries.

I remember seeing that red Corvette with vanity plates parked all around campus.  She did not keep a low profile.

I think we are going to see a lot more of this and at some point it will escalate. NYPD and other US Cities upping their surveillance of sensitive sites around the country.

I was so close to pos repping this.  But no sooner is getting posrep from me this weekend. The pain is just too fresh, and definitely stronger right now than the pain of my one try at marriage.

As soon as we sent the FG unit out, I thought best case scenario was OT. No way did I think we were stopping them from at least getting into FG range.

This.  Best case scenario if he makes it is overtime.  If he misses it, and let's be honest Auburn has not exactly been Justin Tucker, the likely scenario is a loss.

The only scenario where an outright win was a decent chance was going for it.

You can game theory all day.  Just plug in percentage odds Auburn makes it, odds we convert 4th down, likelihood of OU getting field goal/TD after kickoff, ou getting FG after failed conversion, ou getting FG after failed field goal.  I think unless you put in some insanely optimistic chances on auburns ability, the best chance of a win was going for it.

We watched the game in Denver at the sports bar where Texas-Exes watch and that was great. Also in 1991 I watch the game at Champions in DC and upstairs was all OU  and downstairs was all Texas. Those are the only two sport bar environments that were worth attending.

I watched the 83 game in the Astrodome.  OU was on probation (shocker I know) and not allowed on broadcast TV so they showed the game on the videoboard. It even had a split for the 2 fan bases to sit. We won 28-16 and Dupree got knocked out.

I looked into this because I've seen it other games.

The refs are holding the ball when they play goes out-bounds into the offense's bench even when the offense doesn't substitute.  This actually makes a whole lot of sense as the refs can't really keep track of every player entering and leaving the sideline, and the offense can't try to fool the officials/defense with a quick swap.

Basically, they are told to hold the ball when players leave the bench area even if it is not a subsititute.

Interesting.  So I guess the cardinal rule of hurry up is don't run sweeps to your own sideline.  And fix the AC in your opponent's locker room

It kills me to bet against my Sooners, but I did a parlay this morning with Texas -5 and Ole Piss -11. There is just no way OU will be able to keep up, our running game sucks balls. I will make more bets later this week on Texas, it’s free money at this point.

I see what you're doing, you sneaky land thief.  Nice try

  13. This thread reminded me of the college football belt (like heavyweight boxing, belt goes to the one that beats the current belt holder) something I have not looked at since, oh, about 2010 for some reason.

Washington is the current holder and we could have stolen it from them last December.  Even in our glory years at the beginning of the 2000s, we only ever held the belt for a few short times
