I've always gotten the sense Quinn hates doing interviews. He's probably thrilled at this, honestly.

Locked in two RSVPs at $38 back in September. Still fighting the urge to sell.
Nice job, but don't forget to take that 25% commission they charge into account. I think you'd be better of hedging with wash money line if you're looking for locking in profit

There's lodging available if you do a little digging as a lot of folks that made a reservation have 3 days before checkin to get a refund so stuff randomly pops up. Today I grabbed a place downtown 4 blocks from Superdome. Even if those aren't available I saw a lot of stuff further out.

Damn, the lowest face value ticket for the final is 650?

With this flip we move ahead of FSU for the number 4 spot. Regardless of what Hampton does.
Yeah, I'll happily stay at 5 if it means 5 stars are not signing with conference rivals.

Looks like it was a random pizza delivery driver.
Or a professor. Need to see her husband to be sure which one.

Is there any great downside to sitting on Washington side? I imagine it'll be at least sprinkled with plenty of orange and I don't think huskies fans are going to go all Ohio State on opposing fans. Ive just been looking at prices with no idea which "side" they're on.
-
I remember feeling the same way with paying face for my Michigan rose bowl tickets then the next year thanking my lucky stars I had tickets in hand at any price.
My entirely nonexpert opinion is sugar bowl tickets will be fairly available, though probably not below face like the Michigan game, but if we make it to Houston it's gonna be 2006 rose bowl 2.0- blue blood playing at home vs another blue blood with passionate fans. Time to get that second mortgage if you want those tickets.

Keeping my eye on the market too and it's brutal out there. It's like they know I'm going to pay whatever price they want because I'm an addict and really want my college aged kids to finally experience what it's like when Texas football is good.
This might not be the place for it, and if it isn't I assume the OP has the power to nuke it, but any suggestions on a hotel within reasonable distance of stadium and bourbon street where a drunk middle aged guy with 2 kids is unlikely to get stabbed?

I run a little league organization. Had zero issues from players or dads last season. All issues were because of the moms.
I always appreciate the mom that helps out by keeping the book and understands and keeps track of errors and fielder's choice but doesn't understand that it's statistically improbable that her son is the only one that went an entire season without having either of those happen to him.

Don’t follow volleyball much beyond knowing our team is really good, has been forever, and enjoy watching the few times I see it a year.
with basically the elite 8 being 7 of the top 8 as 1/2 seeds and the final 4 being what- top 3 seeds plus us as maybe the 6 overall- is volleyball a sport that almost always ends up better team winning, is the total pool of schools that are good really shallow or is this a bit of an unusual year where it’s all chalk?
thanks, I will hang up and listen.I'm certainly no expert, or even knowledgeable, on volleyball, but I've noticed this with women's basketball too. 20 years ago someone in my office created a women's March madness office pool, and it went almost chalk the entire way. Not only just all 1s making the final four but even pretty much all 10s beating 7s, etc.
I doubt it's quite that extreme in women's basketball today, but I think that it's a function of 1)less available players from the talent pool so the big dogs get the good ones, and 2) without stepping into a cloakroom minefield, girls mature earlier and there is less of a huge growth post puberty (testosterone does amazing shit to the body) so there's less likely to be some overlooked late bloomer that lower schools can snag and develop.

I used to use sell down the river. Never really thought about its origin until someone pointed it out to me.
I always thought that "Oriental" was the PC term until I used it about 15 years ago and a Korean colleague lit me up. It's like a memo was sent out to everyone but me and it became racist to use it overnight. Unlike "sell down the river" that term doesn't have some inherent racial origin afaik.
I was on a conference call with a Native tribe and a colleague used the term "circle the wagons".

I drive through Western Wisconsin a few years ago and twice saw a Confederate flag flying over a home. It was odd, to say the least.

I recently moved from the upper Midwest where I knew only one aggy. He was a nice enough guy but spouted some of the craziest maroon tinted glasses stuff. I had no idea where he got all that from. Until now. It was just regurgitating the latest post from chin pubes. He's basically an electronic yell leader to tell the masses the next "cheer" they should be doing.

I looked up Klein's bio to see if anything he's done merits any of this aggy fanfare regarding his hiring. All I see is that his first victory as a starting QB came against, you guessed it, Texas.
In their eyes, they finally have the one that knows how to beat big brother.
-
Obligatory maybe Iowa beats Michigan by 23.5.
Of course I'm not even sure how many games they've even scored more than 23 but it ain't many.

All that means is that dumbasses have said it so often in error that it has become accepted to an extent.
For all intensive purposes you are correct.

Didn't we do something similar to the other stoops brother that sark wanted as DC? Memory is fuzzy as to specifics but I thought he got on a plane as our DC but when he landed the offer was rescinded for similar reasons of a revolt in the ranks

I don’t see how aggy could afford him. He’s reportedly making $11M/yr with a $80M+ buyout.
You sly son of a bitch. Aggy gonna read this, think you called them poor, and offer LR 12mm guaranteed just to show you they have more money than big brother.
Well played.
