On Friday, Nov. 7 three high-ranking Disney executives, Disney Entertainment co-chairmen Dana Walden and Alan Bergman, along with ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro, issued a memo to employees regarding its standoff with YouTube TV.

“Rather than compete on a level playing field, Google’s YouTube TV has approached these negotiations as if it were the only player in the game,” the memo, obtained by The Athletic's Andrew Marchand and Dan Shanoff, read. “It goes without saying that the reason so many consumers value our programming above others is because we invest in the best talent, creators and content in the world, and we cannot allow anyone to undercut our ability to do so.”

The memo comes after YouTube TV announced on Oct. 30 its plans to remove Disney's ABC and ESPN from its platform after the two sides failed to agree to a new carriage rights deal.

Epidemic of train/18 wheeler collisions in SATX lately.  Here's the Vandegrift band rig getting whacked on Monday:

I was told a few other high schools loaned the band members equipment, and they went out and got third place in state!  If true thats awesome.

The 'wait a while and problems will get better' idea may be irrelevant for people who have serious mental health issues. Problems aren't necessarily the issue. Some people are chemically predisposed to kill themselves and you can only prevent it from happening for so long. My best friend lost her son to suicide. He had a great life. They were totally blindsided.

My father's best friend did it to himself after failing twice before, he was a well known doctor with a beautiful family.  He thought nobody liked him, and that was the reason.  At the funeral people were turned away from the church and had to stay outside. About 5 years ago his daughter did the same thing.

I watch quite a few "police chase" type videos and it's insane how many people try to run from police, turning what could be a minor traffic or possession charge into multiple felonies (and/or risking death or serious injury).

Same.  Especially the ones vs the Arkansas state police.  Those guys are insane and will pit you at 100+ mph.  Certainly the FAFO division.

I listened to Craig Way on Saturday. Wasn’t so bad. Plan on doing it this Saturday too.

Still haven’t seen any highlights from Vandy game. Can we bring back the Sunday night coaches show on channel 11 if this shit continues?

YT has typically a few good channels, The official ESPN channel on YT grabs all the big plays.

  6. Suggesting Google isn’t the bad guy is naive. We don’t know. All I know is I can’t watch games on YTTV, and it’s far superior to streaming on ESPN. Yes, Greeny’s text and any suggestion they make to visit a web site is annoying as shit, but Disney has Google by the balls - not the other way around. I’ll cancel YTTV at the end of my billing cycle in a few weeks if this shit isn’t resolved. I’m not interested in ascribing blame. I’m interested in watching the Horns and other sports on ESPN. The why is irrelevant.

Yea this. Google can spend their lunch money and buy Disney. They may have put their foot down on a too low of a subscriber number, or espn wants another 20%. Nobody knows this except for their BODs

that's not the right site. it's something that ends in .tv.  Apollogroup.tv? Something like that.

Maybe they have a few domains?  If you google "apollo group channels" that is what popped up.

However, after googling reviews, I think it is a no-go.  Looks like they once were good but tons of buffering, and I can imagine it will only get worse with the YTTV issues.

Saturday dream scenario for Texas fans:

    • Georgia loses to MSST (or really struggles)
    • BYU blows out Tech to hand them loss #2
    • aggycoaster plunges against Mizzou
    • Oregon loses to Iowa
    • ND loses to Navy
    • Florida beats Kentucky (the closer to .500 Florida ends up, the better for us)

I like it.  No scenario where rooting for an ou win.  Good. 2008 vibes no more.

So, again, they can't.  They are even more broke than usual.  Their AD was very specific this summer about the need to cut expenses at every sport and that most likely involves having to rework existing contracts.

Keep in mind it's aggy we are talking about.  They are like a 19 year old girl who just applied and received her first credit card.  Maxed out in 6 months?  So, get another.

  10. 4 sec teams after: Bama lost to FSU,  Ole Miss beat Wazzou by 3 at home, UGA used their three free slots on Marshall, Austen Pea, Charlotte.

So they didn’t schedule tOSU and has one conference loss but no others and ranked #5? Seems to be working for them.

  11. They can't pay him more.  Their AD already said they have to cut expenses this year.  So fat Elko's choices are (1) a dumpster fire, at a probable pay cut, with among the worst facilities in the state and an annual battle with the SEC to get to the playoffs; or (2) a huge pay increase, top notch everything, near his hometown, and a non-depleted donor base for NIL.  The decision here isn't that hard.

Well he has a contract so no pay decrease, and I’m sure the tackle box at Kroger field has fine enough facilities. And whatever Penn state throws at him, aggy can triple it if they want.
