  1. 1990 was the year that also got me into NCAA hoops.

I was in high school at the time, but watching the Horns in that tourney was fun.

    Elite 8 as a 10 seed.

Had a T-shirt that said "Come dance with Lance and the Runnin Horns" or something to that effect.

Had another with BMW - The ultimate scoring machine.

I really loved watching UNLV though.  Larry Johnson and Stacey Augmon were incredible.

Always hated Duke for whatever reason, lol

Where in Tribeca have you guys been going?  Want to add more places to my list.

Yes, it is hot.  If you can sit in the shade, and there is a breeze, it is pleasant, especially when the humidity has been down.

I am trying to start going out more often and enjoying live again, because once it gets cold, I would not be shocked for shit to shut down again.

I am ready for the Met to reopen.  With as big as that building is, social distancing should not be an issue.

    Yes, shade is a must!

Their favorite little Italian place is called Pepolino.  Also a place called San Carlo Piemonte in SoHo.

Went to Lovely Day for Thai.  Felix yesterday for brunch/lunch.

Edwards (diner-ish) is their regular spot for drinks/hanging out.  It's across from the Odeon  Actually have really good tex-mex-ish options for brunch (chilaquiles, huevos rancheros)

I've tried to get them to go to Khe-Yo, I've heard it's great...but haven't won that battle yet.

Like I said, nothing fancy, but good food.

  3. Been up here for a couple of weeks and have been impressed with everyone's mask wearing.

I have not been impressed with the heat...fuck, it's hot.

We're visiting in-laws that live in Tribeca...and we pretty much stick to their favorites.  Nothing fancy really, but solid.

Every time we come up we see at least one celebrity.

Emily Ratajkowski lives upstairs from their favorite hang out...so got to meet her, her boyfriend and their dog.

  4. 3 hits is fairly aggressive for your first time, lol

I know I wouldn't have the cojones to go in that hard.  Typically most good/bad acid stories start off with "I don't feel anything" then dosing again.

Next thing you know you're sitting on a rock in a field near UNO's Lakefront Arena while your friends are looking for you and calling you.  Meanwhile you can't answer your phone because when it lights up it melts into your hand, like liquid lava.  Luckily an off-duty cabbie picks you up out of pity, says "We gotta get you outta here, this area aint safe for a white boy to just be hanging around" and takes you back to civilization  about 4-5 hours after everyone left.

    Or so I'm told.

CSB: Live four-ish blocks from there and was riding my bike around yesterday when I saw the fire trucks. Actually had no idea the consulate was there. I wonder if they need any help moving out by Friday? I have a truck.

This is a weird fucking story.

Yeah...we're right down the street too.  Wife walked the doggos by this morning and got the scoop from a lady out there filming.

  6. Whole roasted chicken last night.  She usually does a great job with it..

Breaking down the remaining bird after we were finished.

Sure enough...giblet bag in the cavity. SMH

She said she pulled out a bag...which I suppose is a possibility?  Or she pulled the neck out and left the bag.

anyway, we didn't die and the bag didn't seem to melt.

Based on the symptoms you mentioned above, would you have suspected COVID if you hadn’t known you had been exposed to it?

    Edit: intended for@tylerocks.

Not at all, they were that mild.

The danger of this is the fact that so many people can be asymptomatic or like me, showing very little in the way of symptoms, that they go on with life, unknowingly spreading it.

  8. Wife and I tested positive over the weekend.  Happy 4th, right?!

We had a very mild version, I guess.  No fever.  I had like 2 days of body aches, a little cough.  She had a little nausea and some congestion.

Wife was exposed by a co-worker on the 22nd, so we're on the tail end of our 14 day period.

I guess we'll see what this week brings, but according to her Dr. we should be good to go..

What about filling up, then leaving the car at the pump while you go in, go to the bathroom, make a hot dog, fill up your coffee cup, buy a scratch-off, etc.?

    Yes this.

I sometimes leave my company truck at the pump if I can't get a receipt at the pump and have to go in to get a receipt.  The reason I do this is because there are some convenience stores that if the pump is used by someone before you get your receipt, they cannot pull it up at the register.

Edit:. No receipt at pump, really tweaks my melon, and it's damned sure not trivial.

  10. Maybe it's my Nordic genes, but I think I have a fairly high pain tolerance.  I've broken several bones(ankle, tibia, wrist, fingers).  All sucked, but manageable

    2 things stand out:

1- Having an intense gout attack in my foot several years ago was pretty much at the top of the list.  I used to get it in my foot/ankle the most.  Excruciating pain almost to the point of nausea.  A bed sheet shifting across my foot was enough to almost bring me to tears.

2- Dog bite-  The bite itself wasn't all that bad, required a few stitches.  Went to get it looked at at an Urgent  Care place.  The tear was on the palm of my hand.  Doc goes to clean it out, but doesn't numb the area...proceeds to squirt a bunch of saline solution directly in the wound for what seemed like minutes.  You could see the fat/muscle in my had moving around.

So he basically got beat out by a younger player. He would have still played plenty this year (if we play) just from having to step in when other players are out 2 weeks with the virus.

Getting beat out by a younger player during a pandemic and no practicing is the 2020 version of Craig getting fired on his day off.

Fajitas for 2 is $15 on Wednesday at Pistoleros and they are actually great. Plenty of food, comes with Fixins and rice/beans

    Also $4 margs til 8 M-F

    You’re welcome.

Interesting.  We're right around the corner and haven't been there in years.  Never really understood how it was still in bidness...
