Jeffires had 245 and a TD as well.
I think his 87 yd TD might've been the longest in team history?

Knock, knock knock......"FW PD.....Anyone home? Everything ok in here?"
Everyone goes to sleep that night...

On Saturday, the family's attorney, Rusty Hardin, said, "The Skaggs family continues to mourn the loss of a beloved son, brother, husband and son-in-law. They greatly appreciate the work that law enforcement is doing, and they are patiently awaiting the results of the investigation."
Thought this was interesting..

I’m not putting this loss on Grienke. He pitched well enough.
Cy Young isn’t beating anybody when your offense is as bad as the Stros was yesterday.
Today is a new day. I’ve got faith in JV tonight and our bats coming back to life.
Breathe orange fire.

I’m on board with Jive Turkey et al.
this should have been a 3-4 TD loss. Somehow roles were reversed and our D looked halfway respectable and our O turtled up. It’s amazing the game was as close as it was. It shouldn’t have been.

Was dual fan here as well...same story: Cowboys were on TV every week, Oilers weren't. My dad loved the Cowboys (Staubach and Landry) which is weird in itself seeing as he is from just outside Philadelphia.
Once I was a little older..middle school maybe, I started paying more attention to the Oilers and was fully on board. Went to training camp in San Antonio one year in high school ( I think in 91)...that was pretty cool. Standing that close and watching them run onto the practice field....the sheer size of Matthews, Dawson, etc. The arms were the size of my waist.
The Bills loss killed me. I remember exactly what I was doing, wearing etc... Fucking A.

That seems like a bit of overkill for loaning a kid a car, no?

My eyes tell me our D is not good.
You geeks can throw out all the stats you want, adjusted or otherwise to try to justify our D being better than they appear.
They're not.
That being said we're 4-1 and at the end of the day that's all that matters.
It's 2:16.....

Rewatched the WV game. They never should have even scored 20 points. Should have ended with seventeen. Fourth quarter defense was just terrible. Regardless, here are the big takeaways:
1. We’d better play run defense better than we have the last few games. Part of why WV stayed close early was because they gashed us in the run game. Our three man front just invites teams to run and we’re not defending it well lately.
2. Penalties killed us. We have to be smarter.
3. It’s hard to believe how bad Cook has been. He starts ten yards off the WR and is backpedaling before the ball is even snapped. If I’m the opposition, I pick on him all day long. It’s just amazing how bad our dbs look at times. Jason Washington needs to be held accountable.
4. None of our guys had much success against Sills. He made Shack, Kerstetter and Angilau look bad for much of the game.
5. Sam’s honing in on Duvernay too much. Hopefully getting CJ back changes this, because his timing just isn’t there with Washington and Epps, and Epps is playing sissy ball anyway.
6. Roach and Graham were no-shows. I don’t even remember hearing Roach’s name once. What a disappointment he has been.
7. Kenyatta Watson. Yikes.
8. Our punt returners look scared shitless.
All that and the game was still never really in question. Should have been about 49-17, but that’s what you get when you turn the ball over and commit stupid penalties.
We’d better play a hell of a lot better this week.
Well we found the guy that switched out his kool aid, for urine.

We did just under 5mi in about an hour and a half.
He really enjoyed it...as did I.

Ya, I was chilling in the bar since my cousin, who flew in for the fest, tweaked her ankle leaving Saturday.
It (Lizzo) was the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen at any stage...but seriously the wrong stage for someone with the #1 hit song in the U.S.
Still, it was a great show and I could see her from where I was standing in the bar.
Cardi B was really good too...but being thirty minutes late is plain rude and shouldn’t be allowed.
That's basically on time for a rapper.

Well I got dragged into going on Sunday. Going to be hot as fuck and I don't really give a fuck about any of the bands. Might just be drinking beer and watching football.
Go see Billy Strings at 5.

I went last night as well and Gary was great obviously. Band did a great job as well. Show was kind of strange though because the crowd energy was just strange. Seemed like 2/3rds of the people there didn’t know what they were there to see and were lost. Just standing around bullshitting while Gary was crushing it.
Unfortunately, this is about 90% of shows I've been to over the last few years.
Marcus King played his ass off last night at his free Party on the Plaza gig in Houston. I wish more 23 year-olds listened to that 23 year old.
Going to the Raconteurs tomorrow....should be awesome as well. Hopefully they'll be loud enough to drown out any chatty cathy's

Taking this 10 year old on his first real hike tomorrow. Hoping to get in about 6+ miles.
He's going to love it.

I just want to chime in here and thank each of you for sharing your stories and experiences here. I have no doubt they are helping you as well as those reading them.
While in school we had and assignment for a sociology or psych class to attend an AA or NA meeting and relay our experience. I wrote that I felt guilty being there and thought it was a bs assignment and on some level an invasion of privacy even though it was obviously anonymous. I feel the same way checking in on this thread "for entertainment purposes".
I admire your courage and wish you all well in your continuous battles.
