As for Alicia Silverstone....not bad at all aesthetically.
We all age and some worse than others.
It was slow but I gotta say I was ok with that.
By the way, the contractor was one sneaky bastard.
Loved that scene. Benicio can be a bad mofo. -
Same boat. Acting was good, but the story was run of the mill. Have no clue what Alicia Silverstone has been up to, but she's held up pretty well.
The first I had seen of her recently was the sequel to Valley Girl… she played a grown up Julie (deb foreman) -
It’s power was down to begin with, it’s been getting hammered by eye of scion gun ships, the space mines, etc, now as the ties made their straggling runs Huyang says they don’t have enough power for what she’s diverting. Which in reality was just to pull a Holdo maneuver.

Watched Reptile last night.
Not horrible, not great. It kinda felt like they didn’t quite know what type of movie they wanted to make.
Lots of you thought it was gonna be this guy, wrong! Roundabouts.
Benicio was great in it though.
My wife and I liked it enough.-

Great episode… great finale…
Thrawn is always amazing, sunnavabitch loves his aerial bombardments. His ronin speech to Ahsoka was perfect.
Damnit the Baylan/Ray part hurt to watch. It was so perfect and yet sad to see. Agree they just need to recast, no cgi or “mask”.
Chop I’m sure is gonna be ready to slaughter another 10-20k troopers after this.
Ezra building another saber was a nice touch with Huyang.
Nice reference to Kanaan and Caleb during their conversation about his thin saber and the emitter shield.
Feel free to fix that YouTube link -
So Ahsoka has to have a spare lightsaber on the ship right? Everybody is dead. You’d think she’s pick up an extra during her travels. Ezra needs some steel in his hands.
I think we’re speeding towards a Season 1 cliffhanger. I think the gang engages Thrawn and his allies, but it doesn’t get resolved. And… we’ll wait 3 years for Season 2.
They’ve shown her light saber/bokken closet a few times already. Huyang looks to have kept them through his years post purge. Along with the marksman training remotes-

. You know someone would force a romantic relationship between Bear and Elora at some point.
I think they have been alluding to some kind of relationship building between Bear and Jackie.
Bev could see the snag coming when they were working together at the IHS. Rita references it when she is is leaving town and they both kinda shy away from each other. -
This may just be "end of series" pablum, but I was encouraged?I do want to do spin offs. I’m already trying. As soon as we announced the ending, I was like, ‘I think I know of a great feature film that I could do, a Rez Dogs return.’ So, I’m already plotting. It’s just that this story needed to end. This story was about loss and grief and coming of age. And this was the arc that we wanted to tell. It doesn’t mean we can’t pick it back up. But there is not a continuation right now. It could easily come back, but it’ll be something else. And it will be later.
I like that.
He could an anthology style series of different groups, families etc and I’d be down with that -
Lol I love that the Star Wars nerds have labeled Chop as the most dangerous droid.
He has roughly 50,019 kills, and he’s tried to kill Ezra twice in season 1 of rebels.
So yeah his lounge was absolutely with bad intentions!-

Yeah solid little story.
A funeral along with the explanation that we don’t die, we live on through everyone’s lasting experiences and reflections.
Bringing everyone back to complete the circles.
Sucks that the ride is over, really hope Harjo has some new stories to tell ASAP -

Hah not surprised. I am bummed though, I just watched this movie again a couple of weeks ago.
My favorite lines:
It’s coming…
It’s coming?!? It’s not even breathing hard…
If you think that by threatening me, you can make me your slave… we’ll, that’s where you’re right! -
Ezra, man, I like you but you got to pick up the lightsaber again.
Ezra all peaceful and not a frustrated teenager anymore is killing me!
You got work to do homie. That’s a lot of storm trooper dog tags in your armor, get to laser swording! Even if you weren’t a great swordsman.
But him completely force-stopping Shin’s strike was pretty fucking badass. -
Um… does that require a Class III?!
There were quite a few videos that popped up during the winter, guys melting snow to clear their driveways with one -
When Baylan says that something is "calling to him" the theory going around is that it's Abeloth.
Yeah because of the mortis and WBW threads. Abeloth reaching out to Baylan would bring it back to Ahsoka as the daughter and Anakin as the son, since the father is dead. -
Right, Filoni has been consistently adding more and more cultural lore.
It’s always had the ronin samurai feel, he’s brought Nordic, Wild West, Roman Legonary, etc.
I don’t think Filoni puts anything into his stories without intention. -
I don't know this for certain, because I didn't read it myself, but I believe I read/saw somewhere that Thrawn figured out/knows that Vader was Anakin Skywalker in one of the new canon novels.
I guess the thing is that he went on some kind of mission with Anakin and Padme during the Clone Wars and then later during the Empire years he was working with Vader and figured it out based on his fighting style and/or things he said or something along the lines... basically Thrawn already knows Vader is/was Anakin.
Thrawn and Vader were tested by Palp. They both knew they both knew and were begrudging allies. Thrawn was a master tactician and met Anakin before he joined the empire, he aided Anakin. Later Palp test them and they don’t kill each other, it weakens their “control” but makes Palps that much more in control.
Your understanding is pretty close-

Jude is a midfielder that plays like a poacher.
Man he has far exceeded what I was expecting when we signed him. -
I don't consider him a villian. He has an agenda that doesn't align with the Republic or the Empire.
Yeah villain wasn’t the right title.
He does seem conflicted even past new republic and empire, he has problems with the Jedi Order and at least a fear/serious doubt about witch magic. -
So we all on board that the night troopers were loading nightsister caskets for another army of NS zombies or magic that will eventually make its way to exogol for the cloning-revival of EP

That speech was great - question as to his motive. He is a mercenary which would leave one to believe he is amoral and doing it just for money. Obviously, with that speech, his motivation seemed very idealistic, a new “pattern” for current and future events to replace the existing dynamic. How does Thrawn, the space witches and whatever else that is different in this galaxy (like the purrgil) help reshape the SW galaxy to where he’d like it to go? What does Baylon desire the SW galaxy to become? It seems to me the choice for him is not between Empire and Senate/Republic but some mysterious 3rd way. I have never seen CW or Rebels and am enjoying this series a lot and I also loved Andor, especially Dedra.
Yeah we’ve had Ronin in most “heroic” shapes and forms. We’ve had fallen Jedi and sith.
The games have seen gray Jedi and cloned dark Jedi.
I don’t think we’ve seen one like this, Baylan and Hati are chasing the sun and the moon, they catch them at ragnorok by Norse legend.
He seems to be jaded with the Jedi thanks to both Anakin and Palp, so he sees the flaws in both the religious and the state. He definitely does not like dealing with nightsisters.
I can’t figure out where he wants to go but he acts like he knows Thrawn isn’t the answer and neither is the new republic, nor is a revived Jedi academy.
It sucks so bad that Stevenson passed away. This is a new look at a force wielding villain-

I think it was visual storytelling - the armor with the inset gold looked like kintsugi, which is a whole philosophy of damage and repair being an important part of an object's story. I think it's meant to convey that they've seen some shit vis-a-vis the broken and repaired armor, and that they have formed a close alliance with the Night Mothers through the red wraps on their armor
Yeah this was also used with Kylo putting his mask back together. -
-
Lars Mikkelsen is perfect as Thrawn. Master class in Rebels and here with live action Ahsoka. The oni gold style faced stormtrooper is an aesthetic I’m fully on board with. Give me more samurai elements in Star Wars!
I was like Thrawn?!?
AND a Roman Calvary mask?!?
AND Ronin bandits?!?
AND Ezra?!?
Yes please!
And some teenage mutant ninja rocks!-
