I don't know, Foosters, they wandered from conducting Harris-County-wide searches for a head coach and look where it got them. Same ol' 8-4 at twice the price.

DeMeco Ryans would be their Deion as he's exactly like Sanders. Aggies can't tell them apart. Hello swag and tee-hee big black dick jokes.

Dana Holgorson turned UH around. Offensive genius who could take the huge tracts of talent A&M has on offense and make them unstoppable. He's an unorthodox person, but hey!, so was Leach. He's Mike Leach, but he's on our side!

    Aggie eyes return to Houston.

You mean like we did with Herman?

Which I believe Texas One Fund does

I'm sure they do. I was just referring to collectives in general and the ability of the irs to go after them.  Just because their app is approved isn't some get out of jail free card.

Yeah I'm not sure how they will go about enforcing this especially if you have the approved application. Once again, I think this is pertaining to collectives who do not have that approval that are trying to pass it off as tax deductible and the donors of such places are trying to write them off.

Getting approved as a 501c3 is just filling out an application, following the rules off a charitable organization is still required.

But because rosters were being created matching players look, height, weight, and jersey numbers is the reason that EA Sports discontinued the game. Maybe they could have not allowed roster customization, but that would have cost them sales. Since some were customizing themselves and friends for the game.

O'Bannon v. NCAA cost EA Sports a $40 Million dollar settlement to get out of that lawsuit.

No.  They discontinued it because even though there were no names, 90% of the players were the correct height,  weight, number, and skin color of their real life counterparts.

Things that are actually funny. Stuff like Wedding Crashers, Fletch, Ghostbusters, Seinfeld, Veep, A Confederacy of Dunces, this thread, unintentionally humorous traits exhibited by patrons of this site and stuff like that in real life. I watched all of those things I named that aren't funny as an adult and, they aren't funny to me. To each their own, but it's not like I'm dry as a Popeye's biscuit on this board like Reese Bennett or something.

Don't sweat Roma. It's part of his charm and schtick that he gets super crotchety when this thread deviates for all of half of a page for any reason. It's actually funny to me because right when I start expecting him to show up and cajoles us, he shows up and cajoles us.

But do you like The Royal Tannenbaums, The life aquatic, and the royal Budapest Hotel?

Cause I find them emmensely funny....even when I'm not certain why I find them funny...

They keep saying this over and over. Some believe that Texas fans may even be attacked.

I now see that the Aggies think all of the other schools in the SEC are like A&M and actually like A&M. They are certain the curtain will be pulled back on tu and their brothers in the SEC will, obviously, submit applications to join A&M's insane jihad against the University of Texas.

I can't recall a single game on the road where Longhorn fans didn't get along just fine with everyone. Arkansas hates us and act like it, but it's not the profound belief that we are evil that drives them. They're just rabid fans with just about nothing but the Razorbacks bringing value to their lives.

I'm sure all the SEC fans coming to Austin will hate it for the crime-ridden woke place that Aggies believe it to be.

The Aggies, for whomever listens to them about us, is setting us up great. You'll have one of those scenes where an idiot has been complaining (endlessly, it's all he ever brings up) about his neighbor to his friends. The friends are over for a disgusting BBQ, and the hated neighbor shows up with a six pack and cole slaw.

The idiot points at his neighbor and exhorts the gathering of friends, "SEEE?!?"

The friends look at each other. "See what?" "Hey man, that slaw looks pretty good, I'm Hunter and this here is Bob."

Idiot watches his world end yet again.

well i mean....look at the map...

Maybe lets not cloak it up by having you tell us which senators you really like. Because I’ve got to tell you, anyone who sounds like a John Sharp stooge doesn’t sound like a good senator to me.

Just realities of the area she represents and the role A&M plays in said area. At least she is representing the interest of said people.

There are members of the lege that are beholden to far worse people then john sharp over simple campaign donations....

What's interesting about this after doing some light digging is the companion bill, HB 2804 was introduced by Texas Ex John Kuempel who was a walk on for our football program. The SB that is referenced here was carried on by a TCU alumn Lois Kolkhorst who was a golfer for TCU.

Has Kuempel been involved with any of our NIL initiatives?

Lois may be a TCU alum but she does what John Sharp tells her to regarding what A&M wants.  She didn't back in 2016 and he made things very difficult for her in her next campaign. She's been a good soldier for Sharp ever since. Lois is still a dang good Senator, but with the area she represents, she's pretty tied to Sharp.

Don't forget that the lowest common denominator of football fans blame poor offensive performance on "play calling." They operate under the delusion that each offensive down in a football game has a perfect play available. The wise play-caller knows what that play is.

Jimbo was mostly criticized for play-calling. He had to give up those duties. "Okay. You didn't literally ask me to change the offense; you just want somebody else calling the plays. Bobby, you'll get a lot of money to sit in the booth and call the plays to my offense. I'll have final say, but you will be the one who calls the play initially."

Sure, some Aggies parrot the stuff about archaic offense, but most of them believe as described in the first paragraph above. I think ScipioTex or someone talked about this once. Seems like there was girl present asking, "why don't they call the touchdown play?"

Case in point- the multitude of post on this forum saying Herman needed to let someone else call plays so he could focus on the team....

Can they? Sure. Will they? Doubtful. They know their days are numbered and making enemies of Texas schools would expedite their demise

    1.  This is hilarious as the state of Texas has no legal authority over the NCAA.  It would be like passing a Bill saying the NFL can't punish the Cowboys for tampering.

    2.  Even if the NCAA submitted to the state's authority, they would just ban any championships from being played in the state.

    3.  This would only affect things from a legal perspective,  NCAA relying on legal investigation or such.  They very much could declare any team they wanted ineligible and the Lege could do jack squat.
