Miami going after Derek Williams and Hill setting up visits after a non-binding verbal commitment to UT is not tampering. That's recruiting. Schools can't officially communicate or entice a player enrolled at a different school. Big difference.
He was responding to the part about Miami, Oregon, and usc not targeting us for late flips.
Miami came after Hill and supposedly tried to splash the pot with DeAndre Moore yesterday. Miami definitely came after us hard last year, different regime, but Nike was still running things.

Anyone offering odds that the "Coach" works for a school in Southern California....

I don't understand what you're saying, the NLI binds the player to the school for one academic year. It's not stringing people along to wait to finalize your decision. It wouldn't work for the vast majority of recruits, but elite 5 stars could very easily inform the schools recruiting them that they will not be signing an NLI but instead will take their time and decide by, say, August 1st if they're not an EE.
In addition to maximizing income that would allow them to make sure there aren't coaching change shenanigans, see exactly who did sign at each school, see who transfers where in the late portal period, etc. Lots of reasons for elite players not to sign one.
He's saying NIL guys aren't going to line up and comitt money to a recruit that hasn't signed something showing he's coming to a school. There is a limited amount of funds out there and they are going to line it up for the players on campus or ones they have some certainty are coming. You have 5 star A and 5 Star B. A may be your preferred recruit, but if he says he is keeping his options open until August 1 and B says he is going to sign an NIL, you don't hold off on B because you might get A.
Plus there is the whole class momentum thing if you area recruit the caliber of Arch. Where it just makes sense to get on board and build a class. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a recruit or 2 yesterday that didn't send their NLI in until they saw that Arch had.

Now, assholes? Sure. You first.

There is only one name who came save this class and the future of the gomers. A perfect match for dumbo and his personality. Picture if you can him standing on the sidelines next to dumbo......................Mangino
Mangino would ironically have too much self respect to associate himself with Jimbo.

Cincinnati, Kentucky, the Ohio River. This combination brings up the weirdest combination of sadness, happiness, and what might have been for me. My oldest child (Hucklebaby for you Longhorn internet olds) got a Make-a-Wish trip due to her permanent medical condition and disability. Of all the places we could have gone she chose Cincinnati so she could meet Fiona the hippopotamus who had inspired her during some of her darkest medical struggles. Anywhere in the world, she chose Cincinnati.
On the bright side, Whittington is coming back.
Hope your daughter is doing well. My 5 and 10 year old love watching videos of Fiona and have since 2020.

Do they have any real, concrete examples to point to support the "the Sips have the bags out again!" stuff?
Sure just like they have the fact that we gave his dad and his coach a job......
but we can't talk about it because it's only known by those in the know...

There's some great ones, but this one continues to be hilarious.....Arch manning being bought......because money (which he would get wherever he went, and outside of corporate NIL probably doesn't really move the needle for them) would be the deciding factor for the Manning clan.........

I keep expecting to hear something on Shelby considering his brother got cut by the Rams and all that....but maybe he just genuinely wants to go to LA I guess.

What the fuck. So, the exact same coaching staff decided to actually coach in 2022.
No the exact same coaching staff had an actual spring to go through rather than implementing a new system and staff without any spring practice.

Dude, you have been absolutely crushing the rebuking of posters in this forum for having contemporaneous opinions germane to the program that sometimes don't pan out. We should all sit on our hands like you and swing back by in 365-730 days when some of the board's thoughts were proven incorrect and form a chorus of fates against its wrongheadedness. I remember you boldly showing up after the 2021 season when Coburn said he was staying to tell us that he'd have a standout '22 season.
Beyond that, no one said Collins was going to get processed. There was discussion around him not liking his role and PT and going elsewhere.
As well, UH coordinated three OVs in the same weekend with UT recruits. Two of those recruits took it very seriously and one of them had to be aggressively shored up. That's, you know, how fucking recruiting works. Roster management is never a snapshot but a moving picture. Get over yourself.
So sorry I seem to have offended you. I will try to step carefully in the future and try not to hurt your feelings.
I wasn't calling out anybody other than the Forum in general for our gargantuan freak outs about players. Plenty of people have called Collins a bust. I didn't prognosticate success for either of them but nor did I freak out from one bad season with very little coaching and no spring workouts while implementing an entirely new staff and system.
I was correct on Sunday niggt btw when I tried to tell yall he wasn't flipping to UH. But I guess others aren't allowed to hear things. UH boosters were saying it was dead when he got home without flipping and they thought the 6 figure NIL rumors for a receiver were hilarious.

Quitting on the job imo.
He actually came on and played decently toward the end of the year. I don't know if I've ever been more disappointed in a guy I thought was going to be a super star after a really great freshman year than I am with him. After that Alamo Bowl I'd have sword he was going to be 3 and out at Texas and go no later than the 2nd round. Crazy.Collins will be fine. Heck, experts on this board were saying he was gonna processed and Cobourn was going to just be a name on a roster this year....Seriously, the 2021 season was a horrible season to evaluate anyone based off the fact that they basically didn't get any coaching whatsoever and it showed. Cobourn was back to dominant this year and Collins came on amazingly well the last 6 games. Geez this forum likes to hyperventilate.....Is Tillman still splashing the NIL pot to take all our good cruits or just the one who was a candidate to be processed anyway?

I have no doubt that Bowen’s getting paid but 2 million seems… excessive. Especially when ou couldn’t even raise 2 million in a month.
I don't know which I find harder to believe. OU paying 2 mill or Bowen claiming he's picking on program fit....

It's always crazy to watch aggies rationalize bad shit happening with their program. Of the 20 guys officially in the portal from ATM, 9 of them are from the last two classes. 6 of them were originally top 100 national recruits. 13 4 stars, 2 5 stars. Y Brown was a 4 star and he's not listed yet. If Cooper does jump, he's another 4 star. Admittedly, one of the players (3 star) is a kicker, but the premise that many of the rest of these guys were dead weight is laughable. Their guys going in are young.
Compare their losses, so far, to Texas. Texas has 12 scholarship players in the portal. 4 of them are offensive linemen. ATM has one OL in there. You want the non-performing OLs such as Garth, Parr and Karic in there, as they don't contribute on special teams. Admittedly, losing Angilau wasn't ideal. There are 4 guys from 2021 in there and none from 2022. One of the 2021 is the punter. It's mostly older guys that have been passed over on the depth chart.
Sign a big class every year and then optimize & cherry-pick from the portal. A&M is bizarrely doing the opposite. Signing a tiny class and then trying build all of their depth in the portal.

Interesting to see if that company works out. They make 15% from school of enrollment (85% to athlete), 10%+ from 'losing' schools (you can refund for 90% after the athlete enrolls).
The bigger question is how many people can they get to actually purchase/collect these?
The same people who buy crypto currency and NFTs

Huh? I never said anything about a 6 figure deal. You're applying logic to recruiting. I'm not the one needing a reset here. What I posted wasn't my own conjecture, but you guys can do with it as you desire, as always.
Sorry that was the main conjecture that people were running with for the visit was Fertita was supposedly splashing the NIL pot. From people I still know in Houston and Galveston, I don't think Fertita is giving money to football, I think his, which having dealt with the prick is probably a small amount, is all tied up in the basketball program.
That said, the people I know that are tied in to UH aren't confident at all a flip happens. They had some confidence on Sunday, but the moment he got back home and no quick flip was coming they lost confidence. They say family wants him going to school outside of Houston and supposedly he just got cold feet about leaving everything he knows for a place he really doesn't know much about, which is quite understandable.
