  1. I'm ashamed to admit that this picture made me literally laugh out loud a little bit. It's like a cartoon. Hope he's okay, though. Does Ayton not realize he's 7' tall? Or does he lack the athleticism to authoritatively throw it down even at that size? The number of times he has blown wide open shots at the rim by leaving a finger roll short is just embarrassing. I've cleaned diapers that weren't as soft as that dude. KD getting 39 on a what was for him a bizarrely off night is crazy. I really wish they would just abandon the iso with him outside the arc unless they can set up a clear mismatch. If they can get Jokic switched up on him out there, go for it. Otherwise put KD in the high post where he's most comfortable. I don't know that they're better without CP, but he definitely changes the dynamics in a way that favors Denver's defense. 3 mid-range heavy guys on the court at once is too many. Especially when he doesn't bring anything on the defensive end besides surreptitious nut shots. If he comes back this series I'd hope to see him more with a second unit trying to exploit Denver's less effective second unit defenders. Also, I said some bullshit about the Celtics-Sixers series being over after Boston got punked at home, but that was before I knew that Joel would play like shit when he came back and Philly'd get next to nothing from Harden and Harris for two games. Still expect the 6ers to pull it out but it's clearly tilting Boston's way right now.
  2. Is Darvin Ham growing a horn?
  3. The moment that truly sealed it for me was last game against the Kings. Steph was pushing on a fast break and Poole was on the right. Poole was mostly open but Steph took it in on two dudes and hit a pretty nasty layup. Poole gave him this look and just moped back up the court because the greatest player in his team's history didn't pass his scrub ass a kickout on a fast break. That level of delusion/entitlement is just intolerable.
  4. I missed a good part of the game so I have no idea what specific play you're referencing here, but also I totally agree. This whole season has been an 90 game montage of reasons to beat Poole's ass.
  5. Foster is just such an obviously bad ref. He clearly influences the game in intentional ways. Whether that's to satisfy gambling debts or feed petty grudges is debatable, but he is not calling fair and unbiased games. He's literally the only ref I can name because when he's out there you can't help but notice the influence he has. There are other refs I sort of recognize b/c they seem to suck (the ponytail chic ref who fucked up a bunch of mavs games in the reg season) but I don't bother to know their names because they just seem naively bad at their jobs. Foster seems willfully malignant.
  6. Not a wrong choice but jokic was still the better choice by advanced statistics. In most cases by a lot. But voter fatigue is clearly a thing and Joel is deserving.
  7. Outcome not in doubt. No way this 😸 Celtics team is mentally resilient enough to win a game 7. They had 4 guys scared to sit in the last 3 minutes.
  8. Did he make a track suit out of cookie monster
  9. If Murray (and to a lesser extent Gordon) is going to play like that the suns have little chance of winning the series.
  10. I think you'll see at least some of Draymond on Davis and Wiggins on James with more small ball lineups from the dubs.
  11. But why would Indiana do that?
  12. Please get the poor woman a pill cutter. They're like $7, do a much nicer and safer job, and don't get mistaken for a poop knife.
  13. Western conference finals might set records if we get KD vs LeBron or Curry.
  14. Impossible to overstate how impressive Curry was today
  15. Please tell me someone is going to make a gif of Draymond celebrating after that Curry floater
  16. His hand is clearly messed up.
  17. Yeah the refs let them rough up KD like it was suddenly 80s rules
  18. Lol at that missed dunk in garbage time
  19. I meant the part about seeking gratification elsewhere
  20. Is she willing to put that in writing and sign before a notary?
  21. Spoelstra is a good choice. You have to think about ty Lue after the miracle he worked with Westbrook in the postseason. I still think Quinn Snyder is a good coach. Curious to see how he does in Atlanta long term.
  22. If I ever need a negotiator I'm hiring you.
  23. Don't overlook the impact injuries had on Lonzo. I'm not a huge fan and you're almost certainly right that even at the time the evaluations were messed up, but seeing how he developed his jump shot and defense with his ball skills at 6'6" you can see what people in the draft were thinking.
