  1. I don't think it's true, but do the last couple years plus the Olympics mean that Pop is a massive fraud and no one understood just how massively great Duncan had to be?
  2. US looks like a YMCA pickup team.
  3. If Dame doesn't get hot shooting he's a huge negative.
  4. So this is really the first five minutes of this Olympics I have watched. Those rims sound janky as hell. ESPN not even bothering to put up a box score on the gamecast.
  5. $7M per year -- if he's healthy he outplays that contract easily. If he's not healthy, at least he's not Trey Lyles. It's all relative, man.
  6. They're not obligated to sign him. They could just, you know, fix the glitch.
  7. Ummm, I didn't suggest a total lower than that. I suggested total contract values around $80M.
  8. Something like 3 years at $36M? I was thinking if he really cares about winning, he should tell the front office a total contract value of guaranteed money and let them stretch that over however many years they want. Four years at $20M? Cool, now next season they have cap space to get more help. Two years at $40M? Cool, they run it back but get him off the books quicker and may have one year to use him as trade bait if they don't get it done.
  9. If Dame doesn't start hitting shots they're fucked when he's on the floor. Negate size by stretching the floor and pulling them away from the basket. If Dame and KD are both hitting from deep you can overcome that size differential. On defense Bam and Draymond should hold their own. Don't put KD as the primary defender on a big. Let him slide over as the help.
  10. Maybe if you have to do drugs to make the music good the music isn't good.
  11. Well, the unsupervised labor on my bathroom remodel last year robbed me and did pure shit job so ...
  12. This is fucking stupid. Backing in is better. It's easier to fit into a small space by backing in. This is dictated by geometry and physics. If your argument is "but bad drivers ..." then just stop. Bad drivers gonna bad drive as evidenced by the bad parking picture thread. Almost all of those posts feature a vehicle parked head in.
  13. If they make Hayward 6th man of the year, maybe. But they're too young overall to make any noise. They'd have to do something surprising like sign John Collins this year for me to get excited about them.
  14. Imagine replacing Russ with CP3 in 2015. Or replacing Russ with Harden in 2015. Or replacing Russ with Rajon fucking Rondo in 2015.
  15. Maybe the Spurs are trying to be the first NBA team to really work a farm system. Draft and stash in the G-league, control their development for two years, then BAM, raise the banners.
  16. I can appreciate a good homer take, and this, well this is a gem. Lakers got much, much worse on defense with this move and did not improve much, if any, offensively. James is sliding down the hierarchy of elite every year from now on. Father time is undefeated. There were many times last year that James looked absolutely pedestrian.
  17. Lonzo makes more sense for Dallas than Lowry. He's a guy that has shown growth in his time in the league, becoming an off the ball shooter and good defender. Still has good instincts and vision. Cubes could definitely do worse (and probably will).
  18. I'd give Lowry 3 years at 20 per but I wouldn't smile doing it. Dallas isn't one player away, so bringing him in on that salary for 2 years is meaningless.
  19. I'd say ideally, and I recognize we do not live in an ideal society, but IDEALLY, you would want a player who either was not on his last legs or did not expect to be 25% of the salary cap, but preferably both.
