I don't hear it much anymore, but there was a long time after CO turned blue that you'd hear people refer to us as a battleground state. Republican hasn't won statewide office since Cory Gardner got a Senate seat in 2014. And before that it was probably Bill Owens being re-elected to be Governor in 2004.
Yeah, my wife has lived in CO for 25 years but when she visits Texas it doesn't take long for the accent to come back out.
He's obsessed with censoring speech he doesn't like.
Wife had a conversation with her mom today (she lives in bumfuck E Texas) about this. Her mom thinks the Mexicans who clean her house and help her out with projects are great (they are undocumented and she knows it), but that the Venezuelans are dangerous. Wife asked her how she can tell the difference between Mexicans and Venezuelans and she didn't answer. I'm guessing she thinks of the 'good' immigrants as Mexican and the 'bad' ones as other.
Was watching the podium ceremony with my youngest and we both agreed that seeing a Ferrari win at Monza would be fun as hell. Neither of us are Ferrari fans.
Even Mike Coffman, Aurora's mayor and former Congressman, has had enough of Jurinsky's shit. You can tell he wishes she would stop. https://x.com/theaaliaas/status/1829543247217397913/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1829543247217397913¤tTweetUser=theaaliaas
I don't think he has touched the F1 car since the beginning of the season, which would track with their drop-off. Also, the cheater brakes RB got caught with before Miami is hurting them.
I'm 100% going to winter tires because I'm moving full time to the mountains in a month. In Denver if you throw on some Conti DWS or similar you are good for 99% of bad weather as long as you drive slow when it's bad out. Snow tires are definitely better, though. SQ8 is super quiet and the sport suspension is witchcraft. Zero body lean going up and down Berthoud Pass today. You do feel the weight more than in the sedan, I'll admit that. And I'm still trying to obey the break in for another 500 miles, but I really like this vehicle.
OK, after a few hundred miles I don't miss the S6 anymore. This thing is big but it's a beast. @Gravy Train don't hesitate to do it. I imagine the RSQ8 is even more fun.
I went over to Rod Patrick in Ft Worth with my business partners in February. They tried to talk me into getting a pair (they each got a couple for themselves) but I would never wear them. They are beautiful, though. Love those ostrich. We also stopped by Leddy's. I can't imagine they are worth what they charge for them, especially since there aren't any tags for people to know that's what you're wearing.
