Tier 1 Candidates (aka, throw money at them, see what happens):

Tim Walton (Florida) - rumor is Texas is the only job he'd leave Florida for
Pat Murphy (Alabama) - almost left Alabama once
Kelly Inouye-Perez (UCLA) - PAC-12 coaches make shit money
Mike White (Oregon) - bidding war that would requite a lot of promises since they just opened a brand new stadium he worked for
Loni Alameda (FSU) - ACC is not a great conference

Tier 2 Candidates (P5 or top G-5 coaches who could stand to move up)

    Beth Torina (LSU)
Rachel Lawson (Kentucky) - time to move up in the softball world, but would also probably need some assurances since she helped open the new park
    Trisha Ford (ASU)
Glenn Moore (Baylor) - might be hard to pull a conference rival coach
Gerry Glasco (ULL) - has only been there a season
Courtney Deifel (Arkansas) - building something

Tier 3 Candidates (top dog assistants)

Melyssa Lombardi (OU) - does she want to face her mentor 3-4 times a year?
    Jen Rocha (Florida)
    Jimmy Kolaitis (Oregon)
    Tony Baldwin (Georgia)

I love Cat, want her here in some capacity, but wouldn't be opposed to her taking a top job at a Sun Belt or MWC school to build herself some HC cred first before she eventually ends up here if the next coach doesn't work out.

Where do I send my $9.95?

That has never, not once, had any bearing on the realignment thread, or its ability to slowly and inexorably take over the intertrons.

I get that.  Which means that there is precious little difference between the realignment thread and a bunch of middle school boys sitting around and talking about sex.

The previews show Liz saying they need to get Paige. She’s not going to want to go. There is no way they can get Henry safely. As much as this show has been about spies, it’s also been about family. There’s the un happy ending.
I thibk there will be a flash forward at the end to show Paige being a spy. Don’t know what becomes of henry.

I don't think there's any way Paige goes on to be a spy.  She is completely disillusioned now that she knows her mother is a tramp.

    pipedream for CDC consideration:

add the 3 service academies & invite domer, if they decline take Boston College, then do a SEC schedule of only 8 conference games (6 + 2)

north: air force, kansas state, iowa state, west virginia, navy, army, boston college

    permanent crossover: kansas-kstate....

south: tech, rape, 0u, okie lite, kansas, tcu, texas

Take this shit to the realignment thread.

Did I say that? The bottom line is that this will be his first hire. Can he influence big time head coaches and convince them to come to Texas? Does he even view the job as being a potentially elite program?

This hire IMO will tell a lot about CDC and whether or not Texas is serious about being great in softball. You could add the track and field coach but it’s pretty obvious that Coach Bailey will have the interim tag removed and will be named head coach, and rightfully so.

It will be interesting to watch.  I have the feeling that he will do a great job selling potential candidates on Texas.

It is going to be very interesting. Because with all the praise that CDC has received this will presumably be his first Coaching hire at Texas. I guess we’ll see how good of an AD he really is.

Because it all hinges on this one hire?  Hardly.

That would be my guess as well.  If you can't compete against the best,  and recruit the best players, you just can't win the big games.  She apparently knew this.  I appreciate her being here and the good ole days, but she obviously knew it was time.  Good luck.

Like hell she knew it was time.  If she were allowed to return, she would have.  She had a cushy job with, until now, very low expectations.

Fuck her lazy ass and good riddance.

I never buy the “stepping down” business. She was given an ultimatum of stepping down or getting fired so of course she chose to step down

You just know that as soon as that word came from CDC she went to Plonsky.
