  1. What the fuck happened to Godsmack? It's like they're not even trying any longer. I don't know what their aim is to become the next Nickelback or what? Change isn't always a necessarily a bad thing and I enjoyed Sully's Avalon solo project but this is crud.

..and Colt is nowhere near as good as Colt with last year's line and Tim fucking Beck is my point.

The only position with a clear advantage that Colt had was WR and that is because of Jordan Shipley. Both rosters had abysmal back fields, terrible lines and play callers, are you going to argue that James Kirkendoll, Dan Bucker and Malcolm Williams were world beaters? Tre Newton, Vondrell McGee and Cody Johnson just scared opposing defenses. Colt succeeded in 2009 because he was experienced and had the ability to make quick reads, something Sam lacks the ability to do. I'm not claiming that Colt would've repeated the results of 2009 last season because it's nothing more than speculation, but he would've been significantly better than the poor play at QB we witnessed last season.

  3. Looking like yet another sweep at the hands of the Warriors. I'll be surprised to see Kawhi return for next season. Something is definitely wrong, the remarks made by Manu, Tony and Pop demonstrate this. My dream scenario : Trade Kawhi to Boston for Tatum/Brown and sign the Brow to a max. The Spurs would have a solid front court of LMA, The Brow and Tatum supplanted by Brown at SG and Murray at PG in the back court.

Ozzfest early 2000’s, Hatebreed on the second stage in Pittsburgh, two big circle pits with a wall about 3 people wide separating them. There was a ridge about 2-3 inches high where half of the parking lot was paved and the other half was gravel that ran through the pit. A guy comes crashing through the wall of people separating the two pits trying to regain his balance. His foot catches on the asphalt ridge and his ankle rolls right over. I look down and he’s upright but his foot is completely upside down.

Sam stage, Mudvayne bassist gets hit by a plastic fishbowl full of beer and looses his shit.

Later that night on the main stage, Slipknot playing. People up in the grass area start ripping up chunks of sod and stuffing them into the fishbowls and trying to hurl them at the security guards on top of the amphitheater. No one gets close but people join in resulting in thousands of chunks of sod raining down into the back rows of the amphitheater.

Megadeth playing a small club. Guy near the back keeps shining a laser pointer at Mustaine. He flips out and demands if anyone sees the guy that they kick his ass. Guy is stupid enough to do it again, gets spotted and a bunch of people beat the shit out of him.

Some of my friends were at that Ozzfest show. It rained all day so people who were completely trashed and drenched bombarded the amphitheater with chunks of sod from the general admission area.

In the 2010 National Championship game we had an OL of Hix, Huey, Hall, Tanner, Ulatoski and Greg Smith at TE.  Tre Newton at TB.  Greg Davis calling plays.  That team won every damn regular season ballgame.  Is Anderson, Vahe, Shack, Rodriguez , Kerstetter and Beck at TE so drastically worse that the 2010 group?  If the light comes on for Ehlinger like it did for Colt we can win a lot of games.

That team also had a Senior Colt McCoy at QB who could quickly make a read and get rid of the ball. Did you watch last season at all? The OL couldn't even block 3 man rushes without one opposing defender instantly barging through immediately after the snap. Sam had a case of the derps several times after having his bell rung and both of the quarterbacks took a beating last season. Excuse me for being concerned about the state of the OL. The choir boys you mentioned from the 2009 roster were pretty meh in general, but the group from last season on the OL was downright awful.

  6. I voted for 8 wins. If the OL takes a big step forward that win total would likely improve. It was painful watching the OL last season, I'm surprised Shane and Sam were able to stand on their own after the beatings they endured last season. I'm interested to see how Calvin Anderson mans the LT position.

  7. Year two was a shit stain any which way you slice it. Year 3 wasn't horrible, but given the hype involving yet another star studded recruitment class consisting of 4/5 star players it amounted to a dud in my opinion. Shaka beat a shitty ISU team in the conference tourney which isn't anything to thump your chest about and choked away what was a certain win in the NCAA tourney. He hasn't  won a single game in the NCAA tourney in 3 seasons coaching here and given all the recent defections I don't see why that'll change next season.

  8. Poona is a beast, it's hard to believe he wasn't invited to the combine. I know his measurables aren't exactly ideal, but he's been extremely productive throughout his career.

  9. The Kawhi situation looks grimmer with each and every passing week. Manu and Tony haven't exactly supported Kawhi recently and those guys are the veteran leaders of the team so they're likely not just speaking for themselves but the team as a whole. LMA seemed all but destined to leave at one point, but this season he's been the glue holding a fractured team together so whatever is going on with Kawhi can be salvaged.
