Thanks to both of you. Think we will definitely rent a car for a day. Trying not to do tons of planning. Really want to go where the day takes us (which will be many bars and restaurants).
Awesome, thanks a bunch. So sounds like renting a car for a day would be a good idea? We weren't planning on renting one, because there really isn't any parking where we are staying, and we were planning on walking/ubering everywhere.
Thanks a bunch, this is great! We are staying in an AirBnB right at the base of the funicular on Petit Champlain. So far we just made reservations at Le Lapin Saute, and are playing it by ear otherwise. My wife found this place https://www.lerepaire.ca/?lang=en, mainly because it is really close to our place and looks good. Will definitely check out your recommendations. Really looking forward to it.
:). I tried about 5 different ones, and I definitely hit the AP3s better than the rest. That said, you are correct. The first mishit with the new ones will certainly be blamed on the clubs. Can't be my swing.
A comment to the article:
Happens all the time. People get a "save them" mentality, start barking orders because it doesn't look how they saw it on TV. They start getting aggressive towards the paramedics, who rightfully tell the people to back off or they can't treat the patient. Drunk people interpret that as a threat, and start trying to gain control of the situation over the medics. The medics sense an escalating situation and begin to leave the scene, as the only thing that comes second to patient care, is their own safety. This causes the drunk bystanders to really get angry and start threatening death and violence unless the medics "save them". No medic will treat a patient under the threat of violence, and they have no obligation to. So they leave. All the while it never dawns on the angry people that they are literally standing between their loved ones and the care they need. Seen it happen many a time as a medic. Sad that this time it resulted in a death.
Tonight’s show was awesome, IMO. I’ve only seen Isbell twice, so I don’t have many other shows to compare it to, but thought it was great. John Moreland opened, whim I had never heard of, and was blown away. Thought he was amazing.
Agreed the card rooms are great, but the time charge for smaller tourneys is really hard to beat. $150 tourney, say you play for 4 hours, it turns into at 150+40. Plus the membership fee.
South one isn't open anymore (not sure if it will reopen). Full House is near Parmer/Mopac. Cheaper time charge. I've only played it twice, not as many tables as TCH, but action appears similar.
For the Stanley, just get a drink or two and sit on the front porch. That is all you need to do. Definitely drive through Trail Ridge Road to get to Winter Park instead of driving down to I-70.
Just got back from French Lick Resort in Indiana. Played 36 holes on Monday and 36 on Tuesday. Old fat guy is sore.
Kind of remote but highly recommend it. Two great courses, cool old hotel and a casino. I will try and post pics later.
