  1. I forgot to add the total devastation that followed the week after, when news broke about Freddie Steinmark having his leg amputated just days after the game. Talk about coming back down to earth very quick when that reality set in. But then I remember seeing him on the sidelines for the Notre Dame game on January 1st. Very emotional.
  2. As a 20 year-old junior at Texas, me and my buddies tried to get tickets for this game, but I vaguely remember being told that Arkansas had only allocated 500 tickets to UT, and the Longhorn Band got a sizable chunk of that. We didn't make it to Fayetteville. After the game, the drag was clogged with a ton of ecstatic fans, which reminded me, at the time, of the crowds in Dallas on a Friday night before Texas-OU. Later that evening, we made the trip to the old Austin Airport to see the National Champs come into town on an orange Braniff Airways jet and then seeing the team come off the plane. Mueller Airport was jam-packed. Good times! The 6 turnovers were gut wrenching. But it seems like the USC game - we just knew we weren't going to lose. No way. We'd come too far for that.
  3. A couple of Australian series. The first is Wentworth. It's about a women's prison. These women can be funny sometimes, but they can be brutal as fuck. Great series with good drama. The second is Rake. This is about an Australian barrister (attorney) who has the weirdest and sometimes hilarious cases. Check these out. You won't be disappointed.
  4. 2018. Is this a trick question?

  6. Stupid sip! They're on a winning streak right now, having just won the spring game. The mighty giant was awoken and is on a roll.
  7. With Alabama's OOC schedule for the next several years and including the mighty SECSECSEC west, it's difficult to see them losing more than a game (maybe 2) in a year. Must be nice, yet it's a very boring out of conference slate. But with UT on the rise (I think) we'll give them a challenge, right?
  8. So, y'all might remember Bob Stoops from 2008 who didn't mind running up scores on opponents as a way to impress the poll voters and did what he could do to make sure the land thieves got into the national championship game. It worked for him, although the best team that year ended up in the Fiesta Bowl. Do you think Herman will do what it takes to make sure the Horns can impress Pollsters to get us in the playoffs? Or will he win respectfully? As you know, Mack was too nice to do that, but Stoops didn't have any problem. I don't think we'll have to worry about that this year, but starting in 2019, I fully expect us to competitive. Thoughts?
