  1. He and Williams are the same sort of guy, but Mafah doesn't have the knee injuries. Ultimately, the Cowboys RB room is even more unknown than last year. Blue is COP back and has ball security issues. Good thing is a good coaching staff can correct his fumbling problems and he has juice but he's too small to take more than 10-12 touches a game on average. Mafah and Williams are bruisers but lack burst and wiggle. We still don't have a lead back, it's a room of RB2's, which hit was last year but at least Dowdle had the size and burst of a lead guy. idk, I don't hate it, but I would have taken something in round 6, but RB is a place you can find a UDFA or guy off the garbage pile and to really help..... at least a good front office can. Need a WR weapon or someone in that room will really need to improve.
  2. Okay..... there's the Thunder back. Mafah from Clemson. He's a really big dude. Imagine Ollie Gordon.
  3. I'd take Jake Majors actually...... He's the type of dude who is 3 years could be a starter at Center. I know we get Beebe, but shit changes. But Bond or the Cuse kid is legit. He can really catch the ball. TE from Iowa, Lachey, can play too..... He'd be a good pick with the last 2.
  4. Congratulations to Quinn!!!! Miami with McDaniel is actually a good spot for him. Allows him to play a timing based, get the ball out quick, spread offense. I wish him only great things! LFG, QE!!!! Be great!
  5. Okay, there's the IDL, run stopper I was talking about. Now, let's take a stab at one more weapon. Bond or a RB? Not bad for a 7th rounder. We need another TE with Stephens blowing out his ACL again.
  6. I'd also be up to take Bond as a dart throw in the 7th,. If he gets over his legal issues, then you have a speed threat in the vein of a poor man's Cooks, with maybe some more PR potential. Fuck it, at this stage, draft Ewers in the 7th too..... He has backup potential. Fuck it. Put him on the PS.
  7. If Dallas gets Allen or Martinez here at 204 and then another IDL in the 7th who can maybe soak up blockers in a year or two, then it's been a highly productive draft. Are there still holes on the team? Sure, but there was always going to be because the Cowboys lack depth and have for years. But all of the picks (maybe outside of the 1st) made sense, were value plays, and look like good players with great attitudes. Finish it off and Jerrah will declare they won the offseson.....
  8. So...... what about this next year? PG - Fox SG - Castle SF - Kevin Durant PF - Sochan C - Wemby Bench: Vassell, Champagnie, Rookie, Rookie, UFA, UFA, UFA Trade: KD (51m in) for Barnes, Keldon, Branham & Wesley + draft filler (1st and a swap probably) (19m + 17.5m + 5m + 4.7m = 46.2m + filler if needed) The only way this works is if KD was adamant about going to the Spurs and wouldn't play ball unless he gets there..... which is what guys who are under contract do these days. One of the UFAs would have to be a shooter, because we're a shitty shooting team. Another would be a rotational interior defender/tough guy muscle. That would allow the Spurs to be aggressive and go BPA in the draft. If Castle is as good as I think he can be and brings the defense along with Sochan and Wemby, can that squad challenge in the West? I do admit the KD trade isn't likely, but there is a path. If we draft 8 or 9, who do you take or hope for? Knueppel? Egor? Fears? Tre?
  9. About Milton, while I'm as circumspect as anyone about his ability to master the nuances of the game, especially mentally, to be a starter or maybe even high end backup in the league, the Cowboys didn't overpay. Apparently some other teams were in the mix and interested and the Pats got a slightly better offer (I don't know about that)... https://x.com/Schultz_Report/status/1907809290015973677 The major issues continue to be problematic. First, the team has zero depth, at almost any position save maybe OG. And as usual, Dallas has done almost nothing in UFA. They basically signed a solid LB and then a bunch of camp bodies. So they desperately need a talent infusion and the front office has turned their 4th and 5th rounder into Mingo, working himself out of the league and Milton, champion of the underwear Olympics but still a ton to learn. Additionally, the front office continues to leak like a polish submarine. The rumor had swirling around for a week..... they just don't know how to do anything without tipping off the press. At least Milton is known as a hard worker and very good teammate. Who's everyone wanting at 12? If you don't know the player, what position?
  10. Jerrah tried to do it with Emmitt too... go around his agent and negotiate directly with him the season Emmitt sat out. It was resounding success as well...... Dude has been a dipshit in negotiations for 35 years. Why would you piss off your best player who has done nothing but ride or die for you?
  11. This one hurts. RIP, Val..... you were a good one.
  12. Destroy them..... This is just a rumor to keep the Sanders to Dallas thing going. Understand this. They just restructured Dak's contract. He's not going anywhere under normal circumstances or rationale people at the helm. If he was going to be moved, it means Jerrah went cowboy and did something on his own and the first clear sign of dementia. Sal who is not a content creator @queens_guy · Mar 26 Dak Prescott to Cleveland Rumors: If the Cowboys trade Dak they LOSE $95m in cap space in 2025. The Cowboys currently have $33m in total cap space left. Dak has a no trade clause. The math aint mathing to this rumor.
  13. Quinn can't handle a full season in college, what makes you think he can hold up to the grind of a pro season. His best scenario is the Colt career. Hang around, be a great teammate, play decent when called upon and have a 10 year career where he makes a boatload of money.
  14. Dante Fowler coming back to rush the passer on 3rd downs. He was okay, I probably would have rather kept the young-ins but he's a servicable backup. Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo Pass rusher Dante Fowler and the #Cowboys agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $8 million, sources tell The Insiders. Fowler heads back to Dallas, on a deal negotiated by Sean Kiernan and Tom Povinelli of @AthletesFirst, after notching 10.5 sacks with the #Commanders in 2024.
  15. LOL. Elam sucks shit. And you gave up draft capital for him. So fucking dumb. Cowboys love fucking around with busts. Namely, first round busts. It's weird obsession now. It hasn't been working, getting guys who wash out. #Cowboys have made five signings/trades this offseason. Here is where those fives players were drafted: Solomon Thomas (No. 3 overall) Kaiir Elam (No. 23 overall) Payton Turner (No. 28 overall) Javonte Williams (No. 35 overall) Robert Jones (UDFA)
