I would be interested to see a Fallout RTS at some point. Take the management aspect from Fallout Shelter and incorporate it into a C&C style game.

    Well you are in luck

Hyndman hasn't seen the bench must less a minute for Bournemouth since scoring an own-goal in January.   But he has kept quiet.  Not a peep from him or his camp.

He was a force for Rangers during his loan. I wish he'd get loaned out to a Championship squad.

  3. Here's our trip report for 5/26-5/28

Here's our hotel (Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico) which was fantastic with great service and an even better location.

This was the view from our room. Not many views in the whole country are better than that one.

From inside the National Palace. It's a much better attraction than I expected it to be and you could spend quite a few hours here.

Also on Saturday we went to the Torre Latinoamericana

Sunday morning we woke up early and got to Teotihuacan around 8AM to beat the crowds up the pyramids

The poverty along the road from CDMX to Teotihuacan is pretty eye opening and the sheer number of people in such small areas is crazy to a Texan.

On the way back from Teotihuacan we caught the tail end of mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Out of the thousands that were there I was probably one of 5-6 white people. I'm not Catholic, but I do like the hats.

After the trip to Teotihuacan and the Basillica we stopped at the Mercado San Juan and the lady enjoyed a pulpo tostada that the woman thought was better than any seafood plate on Isla Mujeres.

Monday we had some time before our flight left and we did a lot of shopping in the Historical Center

Overall the city is crazy and alive. We didn't have any troubles and the only "crime" that we saw was in Roma on Saturday night after dinner where some guy was being hauled from a bar by 3-4 cops kicking and screaming that they were going to kill him as the cops put him in a headlock and whisked him away. Next trip we'll be going to Chapultepec first since we didn't get a chance to make it this weekend.

We hired a cool taxi driver that charged us $280MX/hr to take us around town all day Sunday wherever we wanted (Teotihuacan included). Uber is the way to get around when you are staying in town when their prices are about $5-6 to go from the Zocalo down to Roma or La Condesa in the XL vehicles.

Overall you can't beat the experience for a 2hr flight from DFW and $150.00/night at an elite hotel on the Zocalo.

so it's ok to be racist and vile if you think that there are some on the "other side" who are racist and vile?  is this the reasoning and justification now?

That's the reasoning for everything now.

Also, she didn't call her an ape. She compared her to a human actress who played an ape in a film.

YEAH! Damn libs don't understand a thing.

  6. This was my favorite from that thread:

    Quote

Please explain how it is racist and NOT inconsistent with the "theory" of evolution?

I personally don't believe in evolution so I can say that could be racist because I believe ones value is determined by be a creation of God. But if someone believes in evolution and we came from monkeys how can they argue saying someone looks like what they came from is racist? Further more aren't all races evolutionary by products from apes? Why then would a black person have racial protections against being compared to one if a white person being compared to an ape isn't considered racist?

Either they (liberals) have to disavow evolution and then can claim an ape comparison is racist OR realize an ape comparison is inline with their scientific beliefs. They can't have it both ways.

Now for clarification I do not think that comparison should be made. But I say that on the grounds that we did NOT evolve from apes. That we are ALL God's creations from Adam who was made from dirt and not a monkey. Therefore I find such comparison as demeaning and inconsistent with moral behavior.

    Of course...

That is exactly who aggy is right there.  Don't ever let someone tell you otherwise.

It's like their collective minds have never heard of blacks=monkeys as a racial attack. Obviously they're just being obtuse because team.

Austin’s zoo is a rescue operation that charges admission to fund their efforts.

Ah, so is there no city involvement? Seems like a good cause.

I'll give Waco this...their zoo is better than Austin's.

Texas is such a great zoo state with San Antonio, Ft Worth, Dallas, Houston, Tyler, and Waco. I'm surprised Austin isn't stepping it up.

I've had their whole lineup.  Damn good stuff.  The India Brown Ale and the Porter are delicious.  The Wit and Pale Ale are absolutely legit.

I had the Porter and thought it was a bit under Bare Arms' Porter, but I was impressed with both of them. Has Waco Ale Co put anything out yet?

Why would the junior class participate in something related to graduation?

It was a fairly small school (150ish per grade) and I think they needed the bodies to fill out the rented space and make it worth it.

Mandatory?  No. They bribe you with door prizes like stereos and dorm refrigerators.  At least they did 23 years ago.

Yeah you may be right (how could school be mandatory for graduates?). I just remember everyone being there including those that would normally not be a function like that on their graduation night.

When I graduated highschool, the actual highschool made a big push to rent out a space and offer (then) nice giveaways and raffles in a highschool sponsored pizza and soda party with chaperones as a way to cut down on throwing a rager. The rager was still thrown however and after checking in and spending 30 minutes at the PG-13 party, we got on with it.

My high school does that every year. They'll rent out some huge center and have all of the juniors and seniors stay locked in until 6AM. I'm pretty sure it was mandatory.
