We visited during the Alamo Bowl.  I get the appeal and enjoyed everything (but the cattle yard wait), but it wasn't the best Mexican food I've had.  Not sure what the general sentiment regarding the place is here.

Some shit hole in Flagstaff where they spoke zero English is still the best I've had.  Can't remember the name.  Might just be nostalgia in my head at this point.  Colorado's is probably the worst miss in there.  There's plenty of great Mexican in Colorado, and they picked a burrito joint.  I fucking love burritos, but they don't really count.  I've heard people rave about the Iowa selection, but I've never been.

It's just the 24 hours, location, and history keeping it going. Food was awful the only time we went. It seems perfect for this type of list.

You don't think he would leave Baylor if he was offered the Jets HC Job?

I dont think his wife would allow him to take a job in a place as barren as NYC after getting used to the fast Waco lifestyle.

The wife knows many who have been and rave about it.  We just did Playa and Mexico City...Holbox is not as convenient but totally worth it.  It's on the agenda.

I'll throw in a shameless plug for Mexico City.  My spanish sucks, wife a little better...still, we had an amazing time.  Stay in Roma.  Easy 3.5 hour direct from Chicago.  Great food and culture.  Sorry, didn't meant to highjack the thread with that plug.

There's quite a few of us on here that love CDMX. I could go once a year just for the mango margaritas that seem to be the hot drink right now. My impressions is that Holbox is where you go if you want no crowds and no amenities just a kickass beach. I've never been though.

Fedora is about as aggy as they come. I'm not sure he would ever coach at Texas but I guess anything could happen.

Yeah his brother (A&M Consolidated HC) even has an A&M ankle tattoo.

  5. The Mrs. and I will be making our first trip in April. I'm mainly going for Zion, but we want to set up base in LV. We don't gamble much and we aren't big partiers. I'm guessing that we should set up shop off the Strip? How is the Waldorf Astoria? Not having a casino on site seems refreshing.

New Year's Day is a great time to shop at HEB. Smallest shopping crowd I've seen, probably ever. Definitely smallest crowd of the year.

Where was this at? I went by one around 3PM and it was ass to ankles crowded.

probably, but i also can't name any truly great comedies from recent years.

There have been some good ones like I Tonya, The Death of Stalin, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, and BlacKkKlansman...but I know what you mean there hasn't been a big Caddyshack like hit in the past couple of years as far as I know. Maybe Deadpool? Not my cup of tea and didn't see it.

  8. I have a ~$700.00 one from Frontier when I tried to sign up for internet one time. The lady left me on hold for 30 minutes while she tried to contact the installation crew and eventually just hung up on me. I called Spectrum instead and finished signing up with them instead. Sure enough we start getting bills for internet that isn't even installed. I told myself I'd take care of it and just kept on putting it off and now it's in collections. Good times.
