  5. Don't they only know one song to play?
  6. Not gonna do it....wouldn't be prudent!
  7. It won't keep Tech from waving a wad of money at a good-to-great pitcher to entice them to sign....like this year....they definitely got their $$ worth this year....won't be like this every year.
  8. Sounds like Tech boosters have opened the wallet.
  9. Coahoma’s Hannah Wells wipes away a tear after her team beat Lexington in the Class 3A Division II state championship game May 29. Wells, a Texas signee, led her squad to the first three consecutive state softball titles in Texas. She was recently named the Gatorade state player of the year. Hannah Wells, a centerpiece of Texas softball’s 2025 recruiting class, was namedGatorade’s softball player of the year for the state of Texas on Monday after leading Coahoma to a record third consecutive state championship. Wells pitches and plays shortstop for Coahoma, a Class 3A Division II school outside of Big Spring in West Texas that became the first school to win three consecutive UIL state championships. She capped a prodigious prep career by compiling a 22-1 record in the circle with a 0.49 ERA with 258 strikeouts and 31 walks in 1272⁄ 3 innings. She also hit .602 with 31 home runs and 75 RBIs. For her four-year high school career, Wells had a 77-3 record, a 0.75 ERA and 879 strikeouts. At the plate she hit .591 with 86 home runs, 253 RBIs and 171 runs. Texas coach Mike White expects her to primarily pitch for the Longhorns but has indicated she could see some at-bats. “Hannah has a variety of pitches in her arsenal and home run power at the plate,” White said in Novemberwhen his program signed seven players as part of its 2025 class. Ranked fifth in the nation by Softball America, the Longhorns’ 2025 recruiting class also features catcher Anne Wallace, outfielder Alisa Sneed, infielder Jaycie Nichols, infielder Aundrea Wilson, middle infielder Caigan Crabtree and middle infielderMaTaia Lawson. All seven signees are ranked as fourstar recruits by On3. The Longhorns won their first national championship last week by beating Texas Tech in the finals of the Women’s CollegeWorld Series.
  10. Matthew's big tax deduction to The University!
  11. It was a good sign for Texas infielders Leighann Goode and Joley Mitchell and outfielder Katie Stewart Before Game 3 of the Women’s College World Series.
  12. Goode had 13 errors this year, compared to only 4 last year...short stop had a lot to do with that....Bennett also had 13 errors as well. Vivi's injury definitely hurt, but we made do.
  13. Future Texas Longhorn Hannah Wells Gatorade NATIONAL player of year!! Can’t wait to watch her hit and pitch next season for the longhorns! 31 home runs by a pitcher is impressive! Hookem 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
  14. What do the majority of softball players do after the season ends?
  15. Following the championship, Kavan drove 13 hours from Texas to Iowa to begin a summer internship at an advertising agency. Kavan pitched 31 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run during the WCWS, setting a new tournament record. Kavan played with a heavy heart. Des Moines Register on X: "After guiding Texas to softball title, Teagan Kavan heads back to Iowa to start internship https://t.co/vAAs7DNYvl" / X
  16. So, most sports “can” increase scholarship limits or “will” increase the limits? Will we increase limits in all of those sports?
  17. Nice YouTube on Mia: https://youtu.be/rNyxzVaaU7s?si=N1ASTk-xN7epNqbj
  18. The most-watched women's college softball game ever was the Game 3 of the 2025 Women's College World Series, between Texas and Texas Tech, on June 6, 2025. This game averaged 2.4 million viewers on ESPN and ESPNU, with a peak viewership of 2.7 million according to The New York Times. The Longhorns won the game 10-4, securing their first national championship. Hell yea, Baby….way to go ladies!
  19. Ya know…that could collapse and goats could get injured.
  20. Let’s use a baseball analogy….when you strike out with an AD, strike out with a head coach, then your odds of getting a hit with this team is highly unlikely…..ballgame!
