My oldest, now the holder of a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a MS in Finance from UT, got in trouble for starting a "Longhorn Club" in 3rd grade, and not letting kids in if he didn't think they were smart enough or if their parents were aggy.

  2. Re Sausalito, I stopped there for lunch and a stroll during my first trip to San Fran in 2002, and had what at that time was one of the best burgers in recent memory at this place, which is just called "Hamburgers."  No indoor seating, just grab it from the counter and find a park bench.

  3. Yeah, Bill's is one of my current favorite burgers in town.  I also like the other food, but it's on the pricier side.  I've been there a couple times over the past several months during a weekend lunch, and the place wasn't crowded, so I hope they're otherwise doing well and remain for the longer term.

Saw where Trump said yesterday that the judge isn't allowing him to talk about anything political at all.

In spite of his stupidity, I'm pretty sure he understands that isn't the case, but feels free to say anything he wants with no push back from anyone. Must be an amazing feeling. Like a superpower.

It's no different than when he said the judge wouldn't let him go to his son's graduation and that the judge was prohibiting him from testifying.  The MAGA masses buy all this shit.

I am watching The Wire for the first time and am just about through season 3.

    They killed Stringer? Holy crap.

Yeah, that taught me that nobody is safe in The Wire.

I watched it for the first time in the 2021-22 time frame.  I don't have much time during the week to get through more than one episode, if that, so it took a while to get through all 5 seasons.  But it ended up being one of my all-time favorite series.  I intend to watch it again at some point, but it's a marathon, and there are a lot of other series to get through first.

It only opened in 2020 (or 2021, I think) but Meanwhile is one of my favorite "something for everyone" places in Austin.  Four food trucks, great beer, other drinks for those who don't want beer, lots of shade, a soccer pitch for the kids, playground and a big stage for live music and a massive TV.  Parking can be a bitch but its worth it.

Go check out a show or something... https://www.meanwhilebeer.com/events

Thanks for posting.  Meanwhile is one of my current favorite IPA's.  Not as turbo-hopped as some of the others.  I live on the other side of town (NW . . . yeah, username and whatever), so it's a bit of a haul for me, but I might check it out this summer.

hey if any thing habba is one loyal cunt

It's because Trump hasn't grown tired of her.  When he does and ditches her (and me most certainly will), and likely stiffs her on her legal bill, we'll see how loyal of a cunt she is.
