Please explain what you mean here, because studies have consistently shown you have to consume somewhere in the range of 30% more plant based protein in order to get the same amount of leucine and AA’s. They’ve also shown a better overall response at the cellular level to whey vs plant.

My point was about overall nutrients, not just the amino acid profile. If you mix in plant protein powder with your daily consumption of whey and other protein sources, I don’t think the difference in amino acids is going to have any real impact in your level of swoleness.

And I might be wrong, but I’m think I’m speaking to the majority of posters on this thread, who are more concerned with losing weight, building some lean muscle, and overall nutrition, and less concerned with looking like an elite bodybuilder. For them, I don’t think the 30% difference you cite means all that much.

  2. I like to mix up my proteins. Plant-based proteins have a better overall nutrient profile than just whey, and some particular brands have a good amount of fiber.

But it’s all about macros, and there’s mixed research on whether fast-digesting (whey) proteins are really better for your muscle growth than slow-digesting proteins (casein and plant). Consume your daily protein goal however you can get it.

It is possible to synthesize excited bromide in an argon matrix. It’s an excimer frozen in its excited state, a chemical laser but in solid, not gaseous form. As soon as we apply a field, we couple to a state that is radiatively coupled to the ground state. I figure we can extract at least ten to the twenty-first photons per cubic centimeter which will give one kilojoule per cubic centimeter at six hundred nanometers, or, one megajoule per liter.

    That’s hotter than the sun!

The "Breakers Roar" scene was one of the most absolutely stunning things I have seen in a long time.

Just saw it and came here to post this. Fuck yeah it was.

Great movie. Politically, I think people will see what they want to see in this movie. Objectively, let’s not do this fucking shit, okay?

  6. The doctor who did my 13-year-old son’s camp physical this morning expressed concern that he has signs of Marfan Syndrome. He cited his long fingers that can bend backward, and how he can wrap has thumb and forefingers overlapping around his wrist, which apparently not many people can do. I then showed him that I have those same traits. The doc asks if I’ve ever had back or heart problems and I say no. He tells me that Marfan Syndrome is a problem with the body’s connective tissue, and while it’s usually not a big deal except for possible joint and back problems as you get older, it can weaken your aortic valve, which doesn’t sound awesome.

The doctor recommended that I tell my son’s PCP about this so she can decide whether to give him an EKG to see if he has any signs of a heart issue. My annual physical is in a few weeks, and I’m going to ask my doc about this.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Michael Douglas doin' work. 2nd best Franklin ever. 1st is this guy. 3rd is the historical reenactor that Jim hired for a bachelorette party on the Office to fuck with the bachelorette party. Unfortunately the original Ben Franklin is a distant 4th

I’d put Aaron at 4th, and knock Ben to 5th.

Maybe she was auditioning for her selection by Trump to be his running mate. He hates dogs. What she did wouldn’t bother him in the least, being a pathetic excuse for a human being himself.

And our current President loves dogs, and has one that is rather feisty, so what better way to appease the anti-Biden rubes.

Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley edge Marco Jones has set four official visits.

Last week, Jones, the No. 1 defensive recruit in Northern California, named a top ten of, alphabetically, Alabama, Florida State, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

On Friday, Jones announced his four scheduled official visits.

Jones is set to visit Michigan on May 31, Alabama on June 7, Oregon on June 14 and Texas on June 21.

Each of those four schools made his top ten.

Alabama: "The Tide are rolling with the new staff and the depth of pass rushers in the past makes them one of my top schools."

Michigan: "The new coaching staff at Michigan is great and every year they compete for the national championship."

Oregon: "Oregon is coached by a defensive minded head coach in Dan Lanning and always has success on the defensive side of the ball and at my position."

Texas: "Texas is another school with an elite coaching staff and elite defense's year in and year out."

Jones is planning to sign in December and enroll in January.

A four-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Jones is the No. 13 edge nationally and the No. 9 prospect in the Golden State in 2025.

He has already been selected to play in the 2025 All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

After being away from Austin for 28 years and finally moving back, I can say that East Austin is amazing. The food, the bars, the atmosphere. Fantastic. Love it.

Indeed. My wife and I love to grab lunch in East Austin on a Saturday and then spend the afternoon bar hopping.
