I live in a world where 1) Derka 2) can observe that Dave Portnoy speaking as to the economy is important, and 3) both Derka and Dave are right.
Stop this planet, I'd like to get off.
We're all going to start agreeing with his sports takes now, aren't we? Goddam you, Trump.

I was never a fan of Keanu until a couple years ago when my son asked if we could watch John Wick. So we dialed up Chapter 1, and I was hooked. We watched the other chapters equally entertained, and saw Chapter 4 in the theater.
I still wouldn't call him a great actor. He has very limited range. But when he does stuff like John Wick and The Matrix, he does them very, very well, and I am entertained.
And for whatever it's worth, I've always read that he's one of the genuinely good dudes in Hollywood.

Went from cannot develop and Longhorns getting a draft discount to now getting the benefit of the doubt. These seem very optimistic
Anthony Hill is going to be pissed at you saying that.

Going to be worse when Satan School starts developing some serious blue chip college football prospects.

Moore has a lot to prove after some bad drops. Sounds like he's going the wrong direction.
I'm surprised that Parker Livingstone hasn't scared him straight to the portal by now.

Traveled out of Austin last week for the first time in 2025. A 9:30am flight, arriving at the airport two hours before, and was in the regular security line with genpop because my TSApre expired in December and I forgot to renew. Took about 20 minutes from walking in the door, checking my bags, and getting through the security line. Better than I expected.
I can see summer sucking, though.

Cutting out alcohol, or cutting out shitty drinks that contain alcohol?
I mean, giving up beer is 100% the smartest thing to do if you're trying to lose weight.
But cutting out something like, "regular" Vodka (not flavored) isn't a game changer. It may not even change the game at all.
It depends. If you drink 2-3 pours of regular (nonflavored) Vodka every night with nothing but ice and maybe club soda, that's about 98 calories per standard shot, which are purely empty calories.
And it's going to affect your metabolism, causing your liver to create more cholesterol and fat, and making it more difficult access stored fat to burn as energy.
Maybe to your more general point, no, you don't need to abstain completely from alcohol to bolster weight loss in combination with exercise and healthier food consumption. And, yes, some alcohols are better than others in terms of sugar and other carbs that further tax your liver and go straight to your love handles. But as you get older, drinking "good" alcohol even in moderation makes shedding pounds much more challenging.
So I stand by my proposition that cutting alcohol (including straight unflavored vodka) is a game changer. And personally, I don't do that on a regular basis (football season? forget it). But when I abstain completely for some significant amount of time (e.g. Dry January) and don't change anything else about my diet and exercise, I can more easily and visually cut off some excess pounds.

Made this for dinner last night. Well over an hour of prep time, but it was outstanding.
I've made it a couple times and my family really likes it. I just use a rotisserie chicken from HEB instead of cooking my own, which shaves down some time.
Also, red bell peppers might be a required ingredient for King Ranch Chicken purists, but I've started to leave them out because I don't like its flavor.

Yes - any defamation type quotes should not be quotes against someone unless you’re willing to put your name on it. Millions ($$) are at stake at this level, not just tongue in cheek remarks to make yourself look better.

Devil Dawgs good but so many amazing options I go there maybe 1x a year even though the condo is 2 blocks from there (Rush location).
We ate there yesterday for lunch while waiting out a thunderstorm. The dawg slammed.
We were talking to our hotel bartender our first night in town, and he said the locals really don’t eat hot dogs all that much, implying that the Chicago dog is more a tourist thing these days.
