Do yourself a favor and don't look at the forecast for next weekend. We are all going to melt by August.
I can guess what it says. The good news is my sprinkler system decided to not work so I got that going for me.

Man, this was too easy...

Did you fellas miss Texas politicians blaming wind and solar for the power outages during the freeze?
Did you see them walk it back when it was proven to be wrong? Nope. They want their voting base in Lamesa, Jasper and Abilene to make anything that seems "librul" the source of all that is bad. I'm sure they used AOC + "green new deal" or whatever while blaming renewables.
EDIT:
Here you go... LOL
Abbott said in an interview with Sean Hannity in the middle of a crisis that “the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal for the United States of America.” Ignoring that experts and officials agreed that a disruption in energy powered by fossil fuels was the biggest culprit behind Texas' outages, Abbott added that losses in wind and solar energy “thrust Texas into a situation where it was lacking power in a statewide basis.”

So, I work in O&G and obviously have a vested interest, but I just don't get the shit I see on LinkedIn from other people in O&G that don't simply harbor doubts about renewables but actively discourage them and point to them as the source of all of our energy woes. The argument is basically that every cent invested in "failed" renewables is a cent that was stolen away from reliable O&G.
I have quite a few O&G clients... while the majors may not be very pro-renewables, I can tell you the oilfield service companies are certainly trying to figure out how to do more and more with wind, solar, etc. They know where money can be made.

We had a trip booked to Scopello years ago but had to cancel because, well, baby on the way. BUT... a few years later we went to San Vito Lo Capo on the other side of the Riserva dello Zingaro (where you took that picture). Good for you for going. I think you picked the "right" side of Sicily to visit... fewer package tours, great food... its amazing. If you have time, Trapani and Erice are great. We went swimming off the very tip of Trapani which was very cool. The salt flats between Trapani and Marsala are also worth visiting. Enjoy!!!!
Favignana kicks so much ass if you have a day to take the ferry.

Based on the result, doesn't appear we missed much.
Went to the match... our first time in the stadium which is bad ass. Yeah, it was rough... I suspect there wasn't a massive effort but there were some rough moments. Second half was a carousel of substitutions.
Stadium kept giving off heat after 102 or 103 or whatever absurd temperature it was earlier in the day.

For as hot is it was yesterday, it was actually quite pleasant last night around 9:30 with the 15mph breeze.
Agree... its not bad in the evening and this morning at 7:30 felt really nice.
Went to a pool yesterday around 4:30... when you jump in and get wet and then feel that breeze, its really quite tolerable.

This year, we're going to take a day trip down to Numana and explore the beaches below Monte Conero... really looking forward to exploring the area and enjoying a day out on a boat to do some swimming. Will post pics afterwards. Le Marche is an area that is traditionally overlooked by American tourists. I think the countryside if wonderful and the beaches range from typical "beach with a lido" that is so popular in Italy to wild, untamed stretches of cliffs and coastline. While we've been to Vallugola and Senigallia before, we really look forward to checking out places like this near Portonovo and Sirolo...

How are y'all's tomatoes doing in this homicidal heat? My Juliet tomatoes keep producing away... been good to me. My Matt's Wild Cherry looks like crap but keeps producing... they're just tiny tomatoes. Green Zebra growing like a weed and I have T W O tomatoes
which sucks because they taste awesome.

Good luck with that return flight. I'm in Amsterdam for work flying back to Austin tomorrow and just tested positive so looks like I'll be sticking around a little bit longer.
So are you required to quarantine or stay somewhere specific? Just curious...

I never figured most Tesla owners were buying their cars on "looks". (Lid for every pot I guess) I don't think the truck will be much different.
They buy them on snark.
I've never liked them... think they are "homely" and soulless. BUT there's a lot of people who want to buy them.

Yeah, it would happen, put us on the dry side and make us even more miserable. Meanwhile Lake Charles would be screwed again. Sounds about right.

This Utopia reminds me of when I worked for a famous company at 1400 Smith Street... they stuffed 8 of us in tiny cubes in a conference room.
Yes, they were even named as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work for in America" by Fortune. Good times.

Has a nice and quick rain storm last night in the hood... maybe .10 inch in our gauge. I know it basically does nothing but it was nice nonetheless.
