I'm entirely too partial to my own avatar, but goddamn this is the first time I think I've ever been tempted to change it up. LOOK AT THIS:

STARE INTO THE DEAD EYES OF THIS PENSION-ELIGIBLE MIDDLE-SCHOOL HISTORY TEACHER. THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAS SEEN SOME SHIT.

Also, this knob who thought it was a great idea to make his avatar a pic of himself trying to hold in a shit is another fellow who made...a choice. Fuck it, he said, lets just completely dox mystelf with this pic of me trying my hardest to keep a river of molten shit on the inside.

If memory serves on some earlier iteration of shaggy or maybe even orangebloods or 247 had an NLeininger as a poster.

I’m well on record about Cavazos and know his story better than anyone. His dad Carlos actually impressively conned his way into being Nebraska’s Director of Football Ops, where he was fired after one season last year. Lejond was his youngest kid, he moved his other kids to high schools all over the state because he kept pissing off coaching staffs. Lejond was the best out of all of them and a legit track star, he just couldn’t get out of his own way.

Tldr; IMG is overrated and if you suck or you’re a shithead it won’t help you. There’s a reason they don’t make their full roster available online, so their bust rate is hard to track.

    Helobious: IMG ruined Lejond Cavazos
Me: Actually he sucked and his dad fucking sucked and they were both headcases with classic bust potential written all over him/them.
Helobious: Yes, everything you said was true, and I know better than anyone even though I mentioned it, but still it's IMG's fault he sucks in college.

Was IMG going to let him play baseball too? If not that’d be basically slamming the door shut entirely on one lucrative career option.

I’m pretty jaded on IMG after watching Kellen Mond. I saw him play a bit at San Antonio Reagan before he left to IMG for his senior year. Was pretty shocked to see him again as a freshman at A&M with the exact same weird fucked up throwing motion he had at Reagan coupled with the same panicky pocket presence. Made me wonder if they even taught him anything new. Same with Lejond Cavazos, he spent 3 years at IMG and has sucked in college and is currently looking for his 3rd school.

I know you've got your vato blinders on, but Cavazos was a headcase with a headcase for a father who was overrated coming out of HS, and his ranking wasn't even that fucking high to begin with...well within the normal bust rate for low 4 star kids. I'm pretty sure Texas didn't even offer the kid, and no one regionally pushed hard for the kid except A&M, which is why he was happy to jump on an Ohio State. He spent 3 years at IMG and sucked in college becuase he fucking sucks.

  4. If it's one thing we've seen time and time again, it's that corporations will spread those savings and wealth back to customers and citizens from high taxes and no stock buybacks and such that benefit the upper management.

I agreed with most of his takedown of Hicks, but the intro about dotard avoiding eye contact because he said that was a dumb mistake (it was) was unnecessary fluff at the beginning of the clip.

Unless Trump was watching, which he likely was, which means he was losing his shit, which makes it absolutely necessary and awesome.

I admire the panache. If I were a billionaire, I’d try and own a SCJ and would avoid taxes too.

Of course if you were a billionaire you’d avoid paying your fair share of money back to the country that allowed you to amass such wealth, and you’d subvert democracy in your favor. Quite the flex.

This may be Trump’s greatest contribution to our society.  Its like a progressive tax on being stupid.  The stupider you are, the greater the tax becomes in relation to your means.

Taxes are supposed to go towards things that are a collective societal benefit.

Speaking of which, as a Tesla shareholder (I know), I voted against all their board compensation measures today.  I've never voted as a shareholder for any company before today.  Fuck you Elon.  But I do love my car.  I got it before he went nuts!

“I liked Trump from the Apprentice” isn’t the flex you think it is sir.

    Is that seriously the place?

It’s the picture someone posted in a tweet screenshot earlier. So I looked it up. If it’s not the place that person fucked it up.

I've had it explained to me by some one-issue, pro-Palestinian young voters that while it's true Trump is worse, Biden isn't doing anything to stop the genocide in Gaza so he's just as bad. Combine that with crushing debt, little upward mobility, no ability to buy a home, and the possibly having to live with their parents again, they really don't care if things get blown up because "maybe that's necessary to give the country's attention and change things". Again, the mentality of someone who can't see the forest through the trees. They don't care if Trump will do what he says he will do because Biden isn't stopping a genocide. They're fine with burning it all down if they don't get their way. And they're all too stupid to see how they're being played.

Ask them how it’s working out for Argentina. Or in Russia, or China, where they have dictators.

While I agree that the young people of today need to open their eyes and realize that denying support for Biden over Trump over a single issue will likely result in the Trump being elected again, I am afraid that you'll have to pin the 2017-2021 national nightmare on folks like me who voted Libertarian or those who could not vote for either R or D candidate in 2016. My dumb ass pretty much voted all R in national elections since my first vote (Reagan '84). My eyes were opened the day after the 2016 election. I have never voted an official straight ticket until the 2018 election cycle when I voted straight D despite not supporting all D policies. We have to stem the tide of the Neo-fascists even if we have to hold our noses to vote for a candidate that may mot be perfect but is at least not GQP or GOP who refuse to grow a spine and continue to allow GQP issues to be presented as truth.

I didn’t vote for either candidate as a protest. You’re not to blame, man, nor am I. Particularly if you’re in Texas like me. There is a lot of blame to go around. Comey. Russia.

There was a time I wanted kids.  It didn't happen but, in hindsight, I'm glad.  This country is on one hell of a self-destruction bend that the younger generations will have to suffer through for decades.  I should only have 20/25 years to witness it.

I was indifferent to kids, but my wife wanted them and made it very clear early on it was a dealbreaker. I wasn’t anti-kid, I just believed I could have a happy life with or without them. We had our son in 2017. He has changed my life for the better and brings me immeasurable joy on a daily basis. He and my wife are the best things that have ever happened to me, and nothing else is even close.

and with all that being said, knowing what I know now, I wonder if I had a do over if I’d make a different decision. I’m not saying I’d make a different decision. But I’d have to think about it. Thats the level of dread and fear I have for his future.
