  1. Immediately upon the reopening of the casinos after the pandemic shutdowns. It was a lot worse early on and has actually improved since then but still not fully back to the more heavily weighted business crowd. It is trending in that direction however as the convention and conference business picks back up.
  2. Thought the Houston people would have some strong opinions about that update. If he somehow ends up buying Wynn and then ruining it, well that would just suck.
  3. This will be interesting to follow: Golden Nugget owner Tilman Fertitta has amassed a 6.1% stake in Wynn
  4. Flashback to the all time classic UT @ UCF coming back after the lightning delay
  5. FYI roulette players. Looks like this could be rolling out to many properties:
  6. Writeup and interview regarding recent Baxter visit to FSU. Obvious “recruiting thru the whistle” type stuff. Sounds like the key to watch is if he sets up an official for December. https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-state-seminoles/news/5-star-texas-commit-cedric-baxter-has-high-praise-for-fsu-running-game-spirit-during-visit/
  7. NYC French-Mediterranean
  8. Southeast corner of that intersection
  9. Should have another one to hit up in 2023 if/when Peter Luger opens up in Caesars Palace. The date keeps getting pushed back apparently.
  10. Been to Lotus twice recently. The food is as great as always. The new location takes awhile to get used to compared to the old place.
  11. Lemongrass at Aria is really good
  12. I would suggest investigating reservations either at your hotel/casino or wherever you want to watch. Each place seems to have some free spots/seats for watching but they fill up early.
  13. Baxter did not play in their game last night but the team won and remains undefeated
  14. The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Is Getting a $1-billion Refresh — Here's What to Expect: https://www.travelandleisure.com/venetian-resort-las-vegas-1-billion-dollar-expansion-6750757
  15. And now LA Times article . . .
  16. Just a little info from the article which is behind a paywall: For a lounge chair in the heart of the sportsbook, Caesars was asking $280 for a seat that also came with a few free drinks. For $550, fans got unlimited drinks in a VIP section. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas required a $400 minimum spend on food and drinks to reserve a tiny high-top table for four in its sportsbook on college football Saturday and $600 on NFL Sunday. The spots sold out both days. Mirage was selling VIP seats for $258 on Saturday and $323 on Sunday, open bar included. Prices change based on demand and, in some cases, time of purchase. Circa has a glittering three-story sportsbook, a sports bar it calls the world’s longest and Stadium Swim, a sprawling outdoor pool complex with a giant video screen aimed at sports fans. Chairs with five free drinks started at $275 last Sunday. Reserved couches required guests to spend a minimum of $1,000 on food and drink.
