  1. My wild ass guess before shit goes down this weekend:

    Mavs - DAJ & Smart

    Rockets - CP3 & LBJ

Spurs - they will just take the bitter pill and trade Kawhi for Ingram & Kuzma. Lakers also get PG13.

OKC - dump Melo for another expiring. Westbrook goes for 2nd MVP

Cavs - firesale, Love to 76ers/Blazers

    Warriors - signs Dwight...lol

The Lakers may do it if they strike out on other free agents. He would probably fit their core pretty well.

Atlanta, Chicago, Indiana, Philly and Sacramento will all have the money to offer him a max as well, but teams tend to shy away from doing that for RFAs, since it locks up their money for a few days.

Lakers - Magic is going for 2 stars, Capela is not that.  I think they would just rather keep cap space for next year.

Atl - Collins is PF/C;  Ind- Myles Turner; 76ers - Emibiid; Kings - WCS, Bagley

You think Aaron Gordon should be a max player or you think they'll no choice but to max him out as another team will in RFA?  We just went over how few teams have cap room, who do you think would max him out?

Outside of the tier 1 FA (LBJ, KD, CP3, PG), I would say Gordon is the best available player.  Considering that Orlando is not a prime destination and have trouble keeping talent in the past, they should not mess around with a low ball offer .  Of the teams with cap space, 76ers/Pacers would have a need at PF and should have interest in AG.  While not a max offer, Utah can open up 20 million cap space w/o any trade.

  4. I just looked at the Magic roster, what a mess.  If they sign Gordon to the max (which they should), they are surprisingly close to the luxury tax. Augustin is my fav Longhorn ever but they need a young starting PG. the choices out there arent very appetizing (Schroder, Brandon Knight, who else?)

So top teams so far? Belgium, Croatia,  then mix of Spain, Portugal, france, Mexico, (but to be honest Mexico probably near end of that pack)? I’ve missed some games so not sure how the Swiss and some others have held up. Wasn’t impressed with Brazil

Thats pretty much spot on. Jury still out on Uruguay and Russia (playing at home is pretty big) as they have been playing glorified scrimmages. Neymar crying after beating CR tells you everything you need to know about Brazil.

  6. From Zach Lowe's  KD article: Link

"In choosing Golden State, Durant (temporarily) forfeited a chance to craft a team in his image. Right now, Durant may be on pace to be the greatest player to never work full-time as the No. 1 option in terms of controlling the ball. (Some Golden State officials and players, including Shaun Livingston, nominated Larry Bird as another tweener forward who fits this description. Others pitched centers -- Shaquille O'Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon -- but even if those guys didn't dribble much, they were indisputably the fulcrums of almost every possession.)"

What are they trying to say, he is the best non guard ever? Better than Kareem, Duncan?

  7. I was just reminded that the Mavs helped GSW get KD by taking in Bogut's contract. Because........they needed a center 😆

Reminds me of playing Monopoly and you have that one person that gives up the first color monopoly because he wanted the second utility (Bogut wasn't even that).
