  1. Saw some chatter abt PG13 coming to the Rockets, it wouldn't be a bad plan B if no LeBron.  The Thunder will not have a significant way to improve besides the MLE if PG13 wants to leave so they would probably welcome the opportunity to add EG/ Tucker.  That's of course only a posibility if PG13 wants to leave money on the table ala CP3.

Would he be the same player without two of the best passers in the league feeding him? He's a nice player, but  over valued in my opinion.

Mavs would be better off with Demarcus than Capela. Cuban would love to ruin Rockets' plan but he should remember what happen the last time he did that.

  3. Once a year, I would end up at the BJ table but I can never remember the basic strategy especially the cases of splitting and doubling anything else but an 11.  Is there a good website that explain the numbers behind it.  I would remember it better that way than trying to memorize the table .

  4. Surprisingly, I'm already over the loss. Rockets shoot their shot and played their way but had no luck.  No shame in that especially losing to a team like GSW, unlike last year.  This offseason is going to be very dynamic, a lot of tough decisions.   I'm not sure if Fertitta has the deep pocket for the huge tax bill to run it back so I'm expecting big changes.  If Morey do his magic and we get LBJ, then forget about everything I wrote below.

    • CP3 - this is the big one, we need him to reach our highest level but a huge injury risk.  I wouldn't give anything longer than a 2yr max contract, not sure if there other teams (76ers?) that would compete.
    • Capela -  Worth big money against most teams but he is not a difference maker against GSW (at the end of the day, that's the only team that matters).  I'm not completely against letting him walk if he gets a huge offer elsewhere (S&T would help us get some assets too).  Morey can to scour the bargain bin for out-of-favor rim running bigs like Nerlens Noel and Willie Cauley Stein and make it work in the Rockets system.
    • Ariza - should be able to resign at the same money ~$8M/yr as his current contract.
    • LMAM - I want him back
    • Ryan Anderson - We are done with him.  Don't need him on this team anymore, can't have $20M sitting on the bench in your biggest series. If we can't get rid of the contract any other way, I would be wiling to swallow a longer bad contract just to have a player that can play with GSW (Tyler Johnson, Nic Batum).
    • Green - Rocket 4 life, vet min ain't bad for him.

So, assume the Rockets get it done without CP3 and advance. What are the odds he'll be able to play in the finals?

per ESPN, "Paul has been sidelined by a hamstring injury on four occasions during his career. His shortest absence due to a hamstring injury was two games, which occurred during the 2015 West semifinals against the Rockets when he played for the Los Angeles Clippers. A hamstring injury sidelined Paul for five games in January 2012, seven games in December 2016 and January 2017, and three games in March this season."

  6. From a GQ article about Draymond in Oct:

    Quote

He wants to relay something that Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey had said in an interview, reacting to the Warriors' title. The team had texted it to each other: “They are not unbeatable. There have been bigger upsets in sports history. We are going to keep improving our roster. We are used to long odds. If Golden State makes the odds longer, we might up our risk profile and get even more aggressive. We have something up our sleeve.”

Then he pauses, scoffing at Morey’s comments.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” he says to me. “They are really trying to rethink their whole strategy”—here he bumps a table repeatedly with his hand for emphasis, getting excited—“because teams know they don’t have a fucking clue.”

I dunno. Honestly, I'm not sure he's worthy of being second team all defense. I think the thing that stands out for him is his uncanny rebounding from the point guard position.

And whoever gave Dwight Howard a vote on any all-NBA team should have his voting privileges revoked immediately.

It is probably the Russian Chinese voters

  8. I haven't watched any Spurs game, so excuse the ignorance.  Is Dejounte Murray a better defender than Rubio, Klay, or CP3?  Not that they are more deserving but I just need to gauge his defensive level compared to players that I know.

  10. Steph is definitely not 100%. Whether it is the knee or being overworked on defense, he is not the same.  KD can get his 30+ pts in his sleep but Curry is the real engine of the Warriors offense.  As I said before, if he is not on his game for whatever reason then the Rockets have a real chance.

Also, it was a relieved to see the defense covering Klay today. Dont let him shoot and make him put the ball on the floor.  If that means Swaggy P is open then so be it. He is a good 3pt shooter though but if you gotta choose then better him than Klay/KD/ Curry

I find it interesting that Durant has 2 assists so far in this series. He was averaging 5.4 a game this season.

Shhh, dont change the narrative. Only The Rockets play iso-ball

When you let Klay shoots 15! 3s you arent gonna win the game

this was it. and 12 of them were wide-tha-fuck open.

Not surprisingly, Klay did alot of damage after Ariza went to the bench with 5 fouls

    That's still 42%

Something gotta give,  you let an inconsistent 3pt shooter Crowder shoot rather than Jingles everyday.

BTW, Scott Foster and Tony Brothers are reffing tonight so you know its going to a be clusterF
