That looks a hell of a lot like a pellet gun.
Or a single shot .22. -
They have a trap range, and a PPC range set up at his work, they shoot about 2-3 times per week. I suspect that he is going to try his hand at Precision Pistol Competition. His boss shoots competitively. He sold this pistol to go towards a $7k competition grade shotgun. CHIEF Jr. is a fantastic shot, I imagine he will do pretty good, his boss has asked him to go to some competitions with him that has a division for amateurs.
CHIEF
Well if he gets serious tell him to call me.-

Putting $3500 into that gun is nuts.
Paying $1200 for it is A-OK. But that’s the limit.
You just can’t put that much money into a production gun and expect it to be what it isn’t.
If any of yall are considering putting 4K+ into a pistol please talk to me before.
That said - nice purchase.-

Honestly, this is the kind of shit that needs to happen. Start infringing upon the rights of white folks that voted for this regime and let them get a taste of what’s happening to their fellow countrymen.

Personally, I think it’s too high profile of a game for Goosby to sit out. If this is his contract year, he must play. Maybe he plays 30-35 snaps and splits with Chatman? I could live with that.
I had a great convo with Dan Neil one day and he told me about playing in the NFL. He was small and I couldn’t figure out how he had those rings on his fingers as a starter. Granted, he had lost a lot of weight after retirement.
Anyway, he told me that (paraphrasing) a game has 60 snaps on offense:
1. half don’t go his way so he just has to “get in the way” of his man
2. Some other portion he has help blocking his guy
3. Some other portion he just has to hold his block for a quick out or slant or whatever
4. 10 or so plays: he had to man up, dominate, drive his guy back, whatever.
I always thought that was interesting. Maybe applies here in some capacity - I don’t know.-

That Ludwig you posted reminds me of my DW set. Will post pics later when I'm back home.

Anyone have a recommendation for a fee-based financial planner? Prefer Austin but Houston works too. Just looking for someone to take a look at what we’re doing and offer suggestions. Not looking for someone hawking life insurance
Dave Allen. Solid guy, keeps it simple.
He helps some ex UT players as well. He helped me meet Dan Neil so we could get his kid something.
He’s in North Austin.-

I wonder where ol’ Jimbo can go? Obviously somewhere east or southeast - he isn’t going west. ACC or SEC, possibly Big 10.
Who has a coach o. The hot seat that would be interested in the Jimbo/Karen pairing?
Kentucky if they shit the bed this year?
Florida? -
Hilarious.
Having fun = possible heisman contender
Wild wacky stuff-

What are your thoughts on Meinl? Are they in that Zildjian A / Sabian AA pro cymbal league?
Man Ive heard some stuff I really like that are from lesser known brands. I think a few things are in play:
1. Newish companies innovating
2. Production costs decreasing due to new tech or materials
3. Realization that spend for legacy brands was heavy on the name alone
Zildjian Sabian and Paiste were the gold standard for years. They make great stuff and charge great prices. Some of the newer brands sound just as good but charge far less, depending on series of course.
Then, what do your ears like?
That Instanbul stuff sounds great for the price point. I mean studio engineers probably want specific weights and things but the crowd at continental club won’t be able to tell a 200g ride from a 222g ride.
I like the Paiste stuff but I have a ton of it too. If I was buying new gear I’d look at all the brands - fuck the name. -

Pm me your cell so I can text you some pics.
Jimmy Jazz will vouch for me.-

Star rankings are tough for me, but I really like Kruel's tape. He didn't seem to fit what the staff had been recruiting at EDGE from a measurables perspective, so I didn't know if they were forcing a fit there. With the news that they've spun Spence down from LB, it looks like Clark and Baker may not be as seemingly rigid around height/wingspan at that spot (which I like). If the guy can rush the passer at a high level while also setting an adequate edge against gap schemes and rush inside on the ET twists and games, I don't really give a shit how long his arms are - I'd sacrifice a couple batted balls for QB disruption in the backfield.
He probably fits from a specialty perspective and they’re willing to pay the price for HIS level of talent at THAT specific task. There is also value in keeping him away from OU.
I love the way the defensive side of the ball has been architected - both from a scheme perspective and personnel perspective.
I also don’t know shit about fuck.-

What brands/models? (I'm not looking for cymbals per se, but you never know. I'd definitely get in line behind the other two posters if anything was interesting and left over.)
Mixed bag of stuff but all pretty good.
I will have some hardware and cymbals for sale in a few weeks out of my stash. All dw hardware and paiste signatures (I think).-

It’s looking pretty good. -
That's a great question. I'm not even educated enough to know what to look for. I'm a true newb when it comes to drums. So far I've spent about $700 on drums and hardware. I figured the cymbals would probably be an equal amount? But that's pure guesswork on my part.
I have a lead on something for you maybe.
You can probably get a good set of used hats and ride and maybe a crash for $700.
I was VP of a local music association and bought all the drum gear for them and they were going to liquidate the gear we used for live events. Let me see if they’ve done that. If not - all your dreams are about to come true.-

King cobra is a smaller frame. If it feels better in your hand get it.
Python will probably be more enjoyable to shoot.
I would get a ds1911 like an atlas Apollo lol
