I didn't see it either - I wonder if it is because they are still sorting out fixing the shitty sagging seatbacks from last year?

I noticed when I was adding a few seats for some fam this morning that there was one solo Terrace club seat left.

god i hope we go back to the old seatbacks. these newer ones sucked

  2. I'm so grateful for how he handles the searches as well. No more embarrassing reports, delays, etc. He handles it behind the scene and move quickly. Great representative of the university.

Any idea on the point cutoff? Makes sense because I did not get Sugar Bowl tix last year either but would like to see how close I could be for the next game with a 20K allotments.

I got tickets, no idea where yet but based on peach bowl, they will be in the upper deck.  Guessing cutoff is around 3,200 or so.

Here's the thing, tho. They were ranked when we played them. What happens afterwards is meaningless. We still beat two ranked teams when they were ranked. Same with Vandy. It's not our fault they ended up sucking. We didn't make the rankings.

This is a horrible take if your are then going to argue that "ranked wins" indicates you are a good team

Did he just use a clip of a successful Fresno completion against Michigan to illustrate the dangers of throwing the same route combo against the same coverage with a significantly better QB and WR core?

Yes but the clip also shows how they are jumping it and its a really risky play: 5 yards if successful, -7 points if they jump it right

The big thing the Big 12 has going for it in basketball is lack of really crappy teams at the bottom, at least as it currently stands.  They are having a pretty good run in hoops, but in terms of true blue bloods, they currently only have one: Kansas.

If the SEC wanted, they could add UNC and then suddenly they have the top two brands in college basketball: Kentucky and UNC.  Nobody is locking Kentucky and UNC out of the tourney.  Get real.  Adding UConn doesn't get the Big 12 anywhere close to that outcome.

According to Kenpom, here are the top 64 team hoops program rankings since 1997:

    • SEC: 2. Kentucky, 10. Texas, 11. Florida, 16. Tennessee, 25. Alabama, 30. OU, 36. Arkansas, 41. Auburn, 47. LSU, 53. MSU, 54. Mizzou, 60. Aggy, 62. Vandy
      • 1 top-5, 5 top-25, 13 top-64
    • ACC: 1. Duke, 4. UNC, 15. Louisville, 21. Syracuse, 26. Virginia, 35. FSU, 37. Stanford, 39. Pitt, 43. NC State, 45. Miami, 49. Notre Dame, 55. Clemson, 57. Wake
      • 2 top-5, 4 top-25, 13 top-64
    • BIG12: 3. Kansas, 5. Arizona, 14. Baylor, 27. Cincinnati, 29. Okie St, 32. West Virginia, 38. Iowa State, 44. Houston, 48. Tech, 50. K-State, 52. BYU, 58. Colorado, 61. ASU, 63. Utah
      • 2 top-5, 3 top-25, 14 top-64
    • BIG10: 6. MSU, 12. UCLA, 13. OSU, 17. Wisconsin, 18. Purdue, 19. Michigan, 20. Illinois, 22. Maryland, 23. Indiana, 24. Oregon, 34. USC, 46. Iowa, 51. Washington
      • 0 top-5, 10 top-25, 13 top-64
    • Other: 7. UConn, 8. Villanova, 9. Gonzaga, 28. Memphis, 31. Marquette, 33. Xavier, 40. Creighton, 56. Butler, 59. Providence, 64. SDSU

In terms of the top basketball programs over that period, you would have to say the ACC is the strongest at the top, but the Big 10 is the deepest with ten of the top-25.  Really though, they all look about equal and the Big 12 doesn't stand out in any way.  And while teams like Baylor, TCU and BYU are good right now, they are only a hire away from being terrible.

This is also all historical looking. With the new money discrepancy between conferences and the ability to pay athletes, who knows how much the basketball landscape will change for the Big10 and SEC

Hey fellas I’m a M fan here in michigan. Thinking of grabbing a ticket.

been a poster since the old site and wouldn’t mind meeting some of you. Would I be welcome? I’m not an annoying fan or anything very civil and I’m not a huge drinker, just looking for a good tailgate

The tailgates are more fun when other fan bases are there. You will be warmly welcomed.

    I did the same.

They could make it a lot easier and simply tell you it will take this many priority points to get season tickets.

Are all current season ticket holders guaranteed of getting tickets this year, before any waitlist person?

I don't think they can do this. If a current season ticket holder with a high LP rank adds tickets this year, thats fewer for new people, which means the number of points to get off the waitlist would go up. There are too many unknowns for the school to tell you exactly how many you will need.

On the last question, all current season ticket holders get to keep their current seats (if they renew) regardless of their loyalty point rank, so ahead of any waitlist person. Then, seat selection time slots are given out in loyalty point order (but the renewed seats are already reserved before seat selection begins).
