Fun day in Austin. Hit breakfast at at El Borrego De Oro with @Longhorn_Fan68 and then walked from Barton Springs to Eeyore's with our usual Band of Miscreants.
Eeyore's was fun and scenic as usual- excellent music (Greatful Dead tribute band, drum circles, randos playing music,) and great beer options, etc. with your typical top-notch people watching.
We got lucky with cooler-than-forecast temps + clouds and a nice breeze.
Eventually we bar hopped back south across the river (with beers at Tavern + beers and food at Shoal Creek Saloon along the way) and now I'm finishing a beer at Barton Springs Saloon before walking the rest of the way home.
Good times
El Borego De Oro is such a great place.

If you're not aware, the recent protests at USC began when the school's administration decided not to allow this year's valedictorian to give her speech at the commencement ceremony because she's a vocal supporter of Palestine.
edit: yeah, what royiv said with much more detail.
Thank you. Misinformed post and I stand corrected.

USC just cancelled commencement because of these assholes.
That is fucked up beyond reproach. Guessing many of those kids didn't have a high school ceremony with COVID either. And to lose this one as well?
Protest, fine. Take it to a level where you're encumbering and preventing once-in-a-lifetime celebratory opportunities after you've worked your ass off?
Go fuck yourselves you unbridled cunts.

Petition to remove Garza

Garza is a fucking tapeworm. News to everyone. But it's what the idiotic electorate wanted. At least they voted.
The bigger fuckups are the 93% of those registered who didn't vote and, by default, got this.
I wouldn't trust this mug with my 11-year old for 15 minutes. But the people spoke. They got what they wanted.
Live with the shit. Spend less time on idiotic petitions and more time and getting out the vote. Try again next time. Maybe 8% will go to the polls.

Mother fucking piece(s) of shit who did this.
QuoteAUSTIN (KXAN) – People who live near Shiloh Drive off of Menchaca Road in south Austin saw what they counted as 11 dead dogs in Boggy Creek.
“It’s pretty heartbreaking,” said Jason Brooks, who saw the dogs. “I’m an animal lover. [It] was a hard day for me.”
The Austin Police Department said it is “currently conducting an investigation in the vicinity of Shiloh Drive” in collaboration with Animal Protection. The department said it’s in the preliminary stages of the investigation, and it does not have any further information to release at this time.
Brooks said he walks his dogs on the trail next to the creek every day, as do most of his neighbors. Photos he took show some dogs wrapped in trash bags or covered with other garbage.
“Yeah just to see them like that, just a complete, a complete disregard for life,” Brooks said.
As authorities continue to investigate, they have not yet released information on how the dogs died.

Fred Goldman taking the high road with that unbridled scum.
QuoteThe father of Ronald Goldman, one of the victims at the center of the trial of O.J. Simpson, called Simpson's death Thursday "no great loss to the world."
"The only thing I have to say is it's just further reminder of Ron being gone all these years," Fred Goldman told NBC News. "It's no great loss to the world. It's a further reminder of Ron's being gone."

Meh, we won a national championship in '05 with a coach who was a whiny, thin skinned vindictive beating . A different kind of cunt I guess vs. whatever Hurley is. But whatever.
At the end of the day we have a banner and a trophy and no one gives two shits about whether they liked the coach or not.

Hurley is fantastic.
Offensively, he runs teams ragged, over and over, into screens and sets with players who finish at the rim and kill you at the outer line. Defensively, he knows that the perimeter game rules CBB and he gets athletes that run, chase and relentlessly beat players off the 3-point line. Ask Purdue. He'll sacrifice some interior scoring knowing that, ultimately, like tonight it doesn't matter.
Be a beating and bark about Hurley being a cunt or whatever. He's the best in the game, and it's not close. And we'd all kill to have him as our cunt.

Bracken. Not time stamped but they stirred.
(On a side note if you've never been to the cave it's highly recommended. 20MM bats during peak birthing season. Incredible.)
