So, this thing only applies to homes without air conditioning? In Austin? Good luck in forcing someone that can't afford an A/C into installing a bug screen.

*** The proposed ordinance applies to structures that do not have mechanical ventilation. If you have air conditioning, the regulation as written would not apply. Your input is being collected through April 30 and will help us shape the proposed ordinance. ***

Ha.  I love the clarification.  FYI, that was not there when I made my post.  So not only are they trying to force those who don't have A/C into installing screens (i.e. those who can't afford A/C), but they are so bad at their jobs that they couldn't even clearly state the scope of the ordinance when they first posted the information.

I would have loved to see Sterling called for the foul on City’s first. LFC were clearly better over the two legs

Yep.  And I still think Ederson should have seen a straight red for following Mane around and pushing him multiple times.  It's one thing to pull a guy back from over the top of your player, but Mane was walking away and Ederson was following him and trying to start a fight.

  3. Pro tip for men's league soccer: watch the other team to figure out who isn't very good and give them space.  They aren't much of a threat since they lack skill and it's the guys who don't know how to play who play the most dangerously.  They tend to dive in, high kick, etc.  It's actually the more experienced, serious players who know what moves to avoid in order to decrease the chance of injury.

  4. COA now considering requiring homeowners to put insect screens on their homes: http://www.austintexas.gov/article/public-input-0.  Why would they want to require homeowners to shoulder the expense and go through the process of installing insect screens on their homes?  To keep out bugs.  Fuck you, COA.  If I want to take the risk of a stray fly or mosquito getting into my house, that should be my decision.

My wife is OCD about the dog getting out of the yard. She's particularly worried that the aggie kid next door is going to come into our backyard to retrieve his football or baseball and will leave the gate open. She comes home yesterday to find the gate not properly secured so she goes to Home Depot to buy a lock. I'm not paying too much attention to any of this until she tells me that she put the lock on but it's stuck and she can't get it off the latch. I'm thinking, "What the fuck could she possibly be talking about?" So I go outside and find out that she positioned the lock where it butts up against a stone wall and there isn't enough space between the lock and the wall to get a key in there.Itz20c4.jpg

We have a lock in a similar position at our house and I'm always worried my wife will do like your wife did.  So I made sure there is only one key she knows exists (extra is hidden) and it stays on my key chain.

My MoPac pet peeve is dweebs trying to immediately merge onto the highway from an entrance lane, causing even more traffic congestion behind them, instead of driving further ahead on the entrance lane closer to the merge point.  Learn how to zipper merge you fucksticks.

When a zipper merge is upcoming and one lane is backed up and the other isn't and some dumbfuck in the backed up lane tries to force you off the road for using the clear lane because he's the idiot who got into the backed up lane and is jealous that you didn't.
