If you turn your back at the last minute, so that a shoulder-to-shoulder bump because a bump in your back, it should NOT be a foul. The same as in American football.

But Hazard got away with it.

PS- Panama isn't going to score a bunch of goals (or any) by taking shots from distance on this keeper.

I hope that the reffing improves over the course of the tournament.  Thus far it's been atrocious.  I don't know if they are being too dependent on VAR or are just bad, but it's affecting the quality of the play.

    I miss Diego.

    That's all.

Yep.  Any chance we can get him back if Conte leaves?  Watching this and then thinking about all the times Morata fell to the turf over a sneeze just makes me sad.

What would the political prospects be for a man who stood by a wife who was repeatedly accused of sexually harassing / assaulting other men and who then publicly admitted to an affair with a much younger man? Other than head fb coach at aggy that is

It's hard to say since we haven't seen it (that I can recall), but I suspect it would go along the lines of "He's a strong may who worked hard and made sacrifices to keep his family together.  He followed his Christian teachings and found the strength to forgive his wife for her adulterous sin."

People fail to see that Bill and Hillary were always a package deal.  They were a political team from the beginning.  People got turned off real quick to Hillary when she took on health care as the First Lady.  Most people failed to realize she was always extremely politically influential when it came to Bill Clinton’s agenda.

They also fail to consider that it's not uncommon for a woman to be cheated on by her husband yet choose to stay with him and try to salvage the marriage.  But when Hillary does it she's either weak or only cares about politics.  That is the misogyny that a powerful woman seeking a high position must face.

  5. Most of the best suggestions have already been said, but I'll reiterate the Field Museum and Aquarium.  You can also walk along the water there and take a ferry from the point to the Navy Pier.  If you want to freak your kids out, you can go to Chicago 360/John Hancock Observatory and ride the Tilt (basically a window that you stand on while it leans out 94 stories up) or do the clear floor at Sears (whatever it's called now) Tower.

Any realistic scenario where someone outside of Germany, France, Brazil and Spain win this thing?   I can't really see another squad winning it.

Others have already mentioned Belgium and Argentina as those are the obvious.  But my dark horse is Colombia.

Whoever stated earlier that Ring is behind all the Nextdoor hysteria is 100% accurate IMO.

I looked at it for a few minutes last night and they've got to be trolling the shit out of that site in a way that would make the Russian bots proud.

Ringing a doorbell has become a crime against humanity and every housewife now writes reports on there like she's Detective Joe Friday.

Some of these folks are living life in fear and only viewing the world through the lens of their Ring camera.  Sad really, but funny as shit too.

Some fucker in the marketing dept. at Ring is getting a nice payday.

Sounds like a future episode of Black Mirror.

My favorite fast food place is Wendy's.  (I like their burgers but not so much their fries.)  Wendy's founder was an orphan and supports a lot of orphan-oriented philanthropy.  I also think highly of his philanthropy.  I have no problem with ads supporting that.  I have no problem with signs in a store about it.  But if some cashier, at Wendy's or elsewhere, expected me to listen to their orphan spiel, however brief, I'm picking a ne fast food place.  I would find it offensive.

When I go to an SEC football game and I see people walking to their seat during the national anthem I get pissed.  And so do many others.  Most people heed the many signals of disapproval, stop and show respect.  If they don't the signals often get stronger.  It's part of the culture.  I live in a world where club meetings always begin with a prayer and the pledge.  All clubs I know.  If somebody showed obvious disrespect as a way to protest an issue people would get very, very pissed.

The NFL protest has two strikes against it.  And if they wanted to sell their cause they'd do it without pissing people off.  I think pissing people off is the objective.

For those of you who think the objections to the tactics are about race there is a simple test: Use different tactics.

Don't take my time selling your product and don't show disrespect for US symbols and you won't piss people off.  Do your protest on Colin Cowherd where I don't have to watch to get my NFL game.

The problem is that they have used different tactics.  Black people have protested against police brutality and societal oppression in many ways for a long time now.  But no matter what method they use--sit-ins, kneeling, peaceful protests, marches--according to people like you and the people you support it is always wrong.  The reason is because you don't actually care about the method of protest that they use.  The problem that you and the people you support have with the protests is the message that is being sent; you and the people you support benefit from and support the oppression that black people have faced throughout the entire history of this country and want to see it continue.  The "method of protest" complaint is nothing more than a pretext for your actual concern--that black people may use these protests, whatever form they take, to achieve equality.

  9. I've seen rumors of Melania missing on here and some jokes on late-night comedy shows, but have not seen one story from a news source about her missing other than to mention her undergoing surgery about a month back.  Were real news sources actually reporting rumors about Melania missing because she left Trump, attempted suicide, had a face lift, etc.?  Or is this just another Trump mis-truth in an effort to malign the news media?
