Sanders is no longer the consensus TE2 in the draft... combine performance hurt him badly.

Sanders' pro day didn't help him either.

He's going to get drafted but his stock took a big hit.

At what point (deadline) can NY go after their money?   I mean the clock is still ticking right?

I no lawdog but the filing by NY AG gave Trump 10 days to respond.

I'm guessing that if the guys who put up the bond can't prove they have the cash to meet it then it will be rejected. Then the question is does another clock start or can James start collecting immediately?

That’s why he has 91 indictments and is struggling to pay his second multi-million dollar bond…after losing yet another trial.

and it's only going to get worse for him before it gets better. we're 10 days from the stormy daniels criminal trial starting and those bill rates are going to skyrocket.

  3. (I googled for us non-lawyers -  the purpose of a "motion in limine" is to prevent the jury from being exposed to potentially prejudicial information before a ruling on admissibility can be obtained.)

mine went down 4%, but the assessed value went up 5% due to several years of prior appreciation that got capped at 10%.  So my taxes will of course go up.

that happened to us last year. weird seeing taxes go up when your appraisal goes down.

  5. https://davidlat.substack.com/p/clerking-for-judge-aileen-cannon-why-clerks-quit

Long post about Cannon's clerkship issues but also covers her perceived bias.

Long story short - she got too creative when she issued her special master rulings, and the subsequent smackdown from the 11th circuit made clerking for her unappealing to top candidates.

This made filling the positions difficult and caused additional delays. She's also inexperienced as a trial judge and so it's amateur night with every ruling.

IMHO she likely is making the same mistake with this jury instructions nonsense. In her mind, she's trying a novel approach to be fair to both parties. In reality, she's fucking the goat and getting the law wrong (again).

Doubtful.  But he's not going to trial with those jury instructions without rulings from higher courts.

he's asking her to fix this or he'll have the 11th circuit do it for her - and it will be the third time they've had to correct her on something like this.

I definitely took classes in college where I skipped all the classes and just showed up for quizzes/exams. Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

I know several who did this (at least for freshman/soph classes) where one attended lectures and took notes and the other would read the textbooks and take notes. then they'd share notes.

I don't understand a world in which the Cowboys drafted some useless bum

You mean the last 30 years of Cowboys football?

    As for some things here:

Worthy's deep ball tracking (and Ewers' deep throws) improved this past year so no surprise.

Everyone is projecting Maye as being the next Josh Allen - that's a mistake IMHO. Allen was better in every way but was more raw and had to carry a team full of JAGs. When Maye is good he's really good though.

McCarthy is going WAY higher than he should and is going to have to play right away. When he does any flaws he had that were covered up at Michigan will get exposed quickly.

I think if the Chiefs and/or Bills really want a WR then I think they will trade up to grab the one they want rather than wait to see what everyone else does.
