  1. He also had some votes while being the rep from El Paso that were problematic for a statewide race and Cruz was able to call him out on them. When I saw those I knew he had no shot. Just too far to the left for Texas then and even now. I don't remember the exact details but when I saw his record I was like "yeah, that's going to be a problem."
  2. And they are going to have to keep lowering that number until either people stop moving here or the state makes more than one public university that's worth a crap. Texas is the 800-pound gorilla for public options, and there are no peers in state with the same prestige (for public universities).
  3. so move to a country more woke and with higher taxes?
  4. https://www.ketv.com/article/nebraska-republicans-push-for-winner-take-all/62288604 Just an FYI on how this works - apparently the governor needs the state legislature (Nebraska is unicameral) to approve a special session and they'd have to do this by the end of September. There are a couple of Republican senators that represent Omaha and they're the holdouts. Voting to essentially disenfranchise their constituents would be a political death sentence so it's a pretty hard sell to get these guys to switch.
  5. THE CALL CAME FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE
  6. Email address belonging to Mark Robinson found on Ashley Madison
  7. don't worry this won't hurt Trump AT ALL:
  8. there's more than a few MAGAs defending him (Robinson). Trump backed this dude and would have to admit he was wrong. of course he could just say he never liked him...
  9. Cruz is vulnerable. Tossing a bit of time and money Allred's way isn't a bad investment as long as it's not at the expense of other races. And this. I don't think people really understand the advantages the Democrats have this cycle in money and infrastructure. Also, spending a bit of time and money here can help build for future races.
  10. Trump campaign is pressuring him to drop out until Trump doubles down on his support in a "Truth" later today.
