  1. Just got the Polaris Rzr greatest.   Reading the maintenance schedule and says change oil after 10 hours of first use.   Ummm, do yall follow recommendations on oil changes and such?

Am I alone in thinking gtfo with changing oil after 10 hours of use or am I acting like my wife who won't change oil in car until something burns?

  2. I have eaten and pissed at Hruska's in Ellinger 1,453 times or so.  Very decent cheeseburgers, btw, on top of quality kolaches.

However, I have never tried Peter's BBQ just 2 businesses down.  Anyone tried it?

  3. This is far smaller than what you're looking for but I just bought a Polaris rzr 170 side by side for two small daughters.

I still have no clue if I made a good call but it's a couple weeks before I get it.  I'm banking on fact that it's got ridiculous high resale value if they hate it or never use it.

It’s incredible. Find you a rustic loaf of bread and toast it. We make a simple guacamole for this, just salt pepper and lime juice with a few red pepper flakes. It’s great with just guacamole or add an egg to make it even better. We add hollandaise every once in a while just to change things up.

I've been doing this exact recipe for probably 20 years.   No egg though, so maybe not exact.   So good.

no, but ill stop  by sooner or later. i like the menu

I live in area and place is now a staple in lunch rotation, maybe every 2 weeks.  With that said, it's not fantastic.  Just good.  Also convenient with drive-thru.

So no one should drive long distance for it.  truth and pinkerton's much better but this is far more convenient and half the price.  So value is there

A raw quail egg and uni shooter would be my requested drink for my last meal if I was about to be put to death.

    CHIEF

My dad used to make me shoot raw quail eggs.  If memory serves, he would put worcestershire sauce and salt in it or something

  7. Live in Houston where half block are new homes and half 1950s originals.  We all lost power for 36 hours.

At 37th hour, almost simultaneously, my two neighbors in older homes had attic pipes burst.  A slew of us lucky ones spent a couple hours helping them clean up the mess.  Luckily, it was not whole house but they each lost a large rectangular portion of their ceiling and items under said ceiling.   Now, they are looking for places to live for a few weeks.

We have a 22KW Generac with auto transfer switch that runs on natural gas. It was right at $8500 installed. I’ve had the oil pressure switch go out and had to replace the battery and terminals, but otherwise it’s been good. The only upgrade I made when we bought it was had them install copper cable from the generator to the switch instead of aluminum since it was going to run across the house. I’m not in Houston so I can’t recommend a dealer.

Sorry for dumb question but....do you find out oil switch is bad at regular tuneup or when you need it and it won't start?  I'd imagine reliability is key spec on these things

And how old is yours?  Thanks

Bread ranks dead last at BBQ joints for prioritizing available space in your stomach.  Neg to anyone wasting valuable stomach space on generic bread when there are much better options readily available.  Now, if you find yourself at a joint where the bread is better than the meats and sides, like in Kansas City or something, then...well, you should leave.

Is it a bad time to admit how much I used to love the County Line wheat bread with honey butter?

Himalayan Pink Salt.  Why must salting my food be a two handed operation?

Want covid and salt?  Cuz I'm here to make sure you have to touch every single square inch of this salt shaker with two hands.

It seems like every business wants you to take a survey these days. They hand you a receipt after circling the info to take survey and push this shit in you. Happened today at office max. Fuck off you fucking

What pisses me off more than this?  Why do I have to hit an extra button to tell automated gas stations that I don't want a receipt?  Shouldnt default be to no and the weird people that say yes should go through more steps?  It's 2021...make paper pushers press extra buttons somehow, not regular people.

Well that throw does not look reworked. Looks like the kind of throw we got use to seeing here. The receiver has a step and he puts it a little behind him. In this case it resulted in an interception. For us in many cases it resulted in an incomplete pass or limited gains. So many times we would think if the receiver catches the ball in stride they would have been gone.

How dare you.  He sings the eyes of texas, man.

LA, Truth in Brenham, Killen's, and many other places are guilty of shitty line management. Maybe the meat cutter doesn't need to give samples to every person in line and then have a 10 minute conversation with them before the cashier rings them up. Some people like the experience of standing in line. This is the most bizarre element of the BBQ Culture to me. Free beer is great, but it's not a tailgate if there's no food.

I understand some places manage their lines much better, and the pitmasters come out and greets everyone after they sell out of meat. This is a much better system.

Glad you brought this up.  I used to live in NYC and hated this about some restaurants and bars....line outside, you wait a couple minutes, then they let you into a bar that was half full, like if there was social distancing in early 2000s.  They made you wait juuuust long enough for someone else to come in line and replace you to create false perception of demand.  Rinse and repeat.

Anyways, I feel bbq places have the anti-chicfila culture as well and drives me nuts.

  14. One of my favorite plates ever is/was the goat dumplings at Underbelly.  For Christmas, I got Cook Like A Local, Chris shepherd's book.  Tried out the recipe he published.....on point. I was very pleasantly surprised.  Required me going to hole in the wall store for fresh Korean Rice Cakes and shit was still worth it.

Pancakes are so ridiculously easy on a Blackstone.  Especially if you're making a bunch.  I hated doing pancakes in a pan or on a griddle.  They took too long. The Blackstone has changed my life.  I can knock out enough for the whole family in 10mins.

We consistently entertain a bunch of families and breakfast is 10x easier for us.  No pots or pans.  Dozen pancakes, lots of bacon, and 8 eggs while enjoying the outdoors (or at least the screened in patio).

Been wanting to do crepes though.

  16. Thanks yall.  Just logged on and my BTC and ETH I bought a few years ago are in the portfolio.

However, I hit the "vault" section and that is empty and asking .e if I want to vault the assets.

@GRHorn @Nice Guy EddieWould yall recommend I follow that coinbase trail and pursue the vault?  Or is there a better, preferred method?

Side story:  To understand my dumb thought process...every 1 or 2 years, I put a little bit of money in financially risky shit that is super volatile.  And I give it a minimum of 7 years.  So thankfully, I read a very little about BTC and ETH in 2017 and said, "I'm in and I won't touch it until 2025." I've been telling people it will be at $0 or it will be at $100,000, who knows.  IT took every bit of me in 2018 to not sell at 15k per BTC, or sell just one and play with house money.

I learned this sorta duration lesson when I analyzed Netflix after all these LA people (where I lived at time) were constantly harping how it was going to change the entertainment business.  I got in very soon after IPO and I tripled my money in a month and sold.  Proud of my $15,000 profit!   And now, that 15k profit makes me mad just thinking about how different my life would be if I had told myself I ain't selling for a decade no matter what.

I'm 3 for 4 at the moment with this strategy but again, all 4 could go to zero since its all based on luck and timing.  I've done crypto, biomedicine, cybersecurity, and pot.  Pot is the only one I'm losing on so far.
