I also like white skin contact.
  2. Which would make him the most successful Longhorn QB since Garrett Gilbert.

Not Napa, but Ridge Estate Cabernet is usually excellent for about $50. As is Mount Eden Vineyards' Domaine Eden Cab for about $40.

How was that one? Supposed to be an all time great vintage, right?
  5. One more vote here for Patagonia. If you are a fan of hiking and/or natural beauty, it's an absolute must. The glacier near El Calafate and the hikes from El Chalten (like in the pic above) are amazing. The areas around Bariloche are great (although the town itself is so-so in my opinion) and the 7 lakes drive is gorgeous.

If you can get your hands on anything from Achaval Ferrer, they make amazing wines (mostly Malbecs) at a variety of price points. Great quality at both the low end and high end of their range. I think perhaps one of the best Argentinian producers (and I spent a month in Mendoza trying to figure it out!). Catena Zapata also fits that same bill.

Wine geek story: Several years back I was having a drink at Redd in Yountville, and start making small talk with another guy at the bar. After a couple of drinks it comes out that he is the winemaker at Shafer. It was interesting to pick his brain, especially given he had made what was (and still is) my favorite bottle of all time. Good guy. It was the wine world equivalent of growing up a Cowboys fan and realizing you are having a drink with Roger Staubach.
  8. I agree that there is no way Tech comes calling if Coach Bro is fired this year. If they hang onto Bro one more year and Sonny gets the 9 wins you referenced (which I think definitely is possible), I think Tech could make a run at him. But I wouldn't be surprised if Sonny might want to skip Lubbock with all the Spike comparisons, the Reagor thing, and a fan base that thinks they should conference champions each year despite being a middling B12 team in terms of committment, reputation and resources. Sonny just spent a year with Patterson before taking the SMU gig. Building a program while out of the limelight, like Patterson did pre-B12, might be appealing.
  9. Agreed on Farmstead. Awesome meal there. As for wine, Chateau Montelena is a great stop in Calistoga.

  12. I didn't say I was dating her. And since we're talking about 12 year old behavior, I also didn't call anyone an idiot. Sent from your mom's bedroom using Tapatalk
  13. The guy fucking your mom. I think she was the DC at SMU. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  15. Totally agree. He has inherited a weak-ass QB roster and is making the best of it. Morris was supposed to be the master recruiter, but Dykes already has a better class lined up than anything Chad ever signed. Sonny just might be the guy to build a consistent program here. He also may be the type to stick around awhile (rather than bolt for the first P5 job opening) after his experience at Cal. But he could also go down in flames like the many SMU coaches before him.
