HEB had a beer called Sports or Sportz in the early 2000s. Definitely the worst beer I ever had, but it was $4 for a 12 pack.
edit: Apparently I missed an earlier post speaking of the merits of Sportz.
I remember that shit, had ribbed cans like Mr. Pib and absolutely no information on the box. There was also a sportz ice I believe.

It's great that way, but it's a real bitch trying to clean the rack completely.
That's where your dedicated bacon rack(s) come into play.

Blacked out on MLB if you’re in the AT&T Sports coverage area. Try that channel…or YouTube if you don’t have it.

Teach the wife to fish to cut food costs. If it's too expensive... there's always My Space... 😉
There are a shit ton of Axis deer in Hawaii...God's gift to deer meat. Do that, and eat well.

I remember a sixer of MGD was like $1.99 back in the early 90s when we were in high school. We bought MGD.

You can get a canopy at academy for far less than $16k.
Yeah but you get what you pay for.

The northern european concept of what constitutes mexican food or tex-mex is......profoundly disturbing.
I had a mennonite coworker for a brief period of time. He moved to Texas from Pennsylvania. We took him out for Texas BBQ and he was in awe. He said where he comes from BBQ is typically what lies under Kraft BBQ sauce.

I need to travel east Texas to near Austin on Friday...if I can, but really need to. I know everything is in flux, but those with experience, does TXDot usually do a good job of working on the roadways once they have access? This would mainly be a route of Highway 31 to I35 south.
Depending on the ice line, I could take a longer route south and try to avoid the worst areas, but then contingent on those smaller highways getting no attention at all...which could be worse even if less icing.

some new pussy in the white house
All of you fuckers who post here will never agree on a damn thing political that's fine, whatever. The echo chamber here is like texags and gets boring.
I am a current owner of 8 rescue animals, 6 cats and 2 dogs. I want to salute Willow.
Being a lifelong rescurer of downtrodden cats and dogs, I do submit that large quantities of cats do outweigh large quantities of dogs in the home.
I'm pretty sure you all can turn this into a nazi/fascist versus socialist/marxist discussion pretty quickly, but Willow looks like a badass.

Charged with one count of tampering with evidence.
And given a PR bond, that is crazy.

So I got boosted in October. My daughter had Covid in November, I did not test positive during that timeframe.
I got a cold at the end of December. Then January the sinus infection kicked in, raging sick (I'm a pussy with the thick sinus stuff) but tested negative during that time.
Just this week, I started getting chills, felt a bit tired, a scratchy throat, and the mildest of congestion. Based on my cold I figured no big deal, maybe some residual stuff. My wife had me test today and I'm positive. Long story short, don't let the symptoms fool you. Had I not tested, I would've been out in the wild this weekend at kids sporting events, church, etc.

Offers no efficiencies? Doesn’t yours have a magnet to hang on to the top of the can for easy removal? That’s a lot more efficient than trying to grab the lid just as it lifts up at the end of the manual open, or having to pry it up with a knife blade if you’re late and it falls back in the can. Plus sometimes the manual opener doesn’t completely detach the lid.
I typically leave the last portion of the lid attached if an edge folds upwards, easy to grab and lift. If the entire lid plops in just push down on one side and it pops up. Shits not that hard.

I found an old school hand crank can opener in a drawer and tossed that electric thing.
The electric one gets left out on the counter, has a plug, gets dirty, and takes up space. Its also ugly and offers no efficiencies. If it looked like R2D2, that would be cool, but it doesn't.
Old school hand crank is the way to go.

From what I gathered the prosecution's delivery was just very dull, arrogant, and ham fisted.
Holmes is a new mother and might have been "abused" by her partner. This matters to 4 women on the jury and I think we're seeing that now.
I agree, she's going to skate on something. I think they convict on the doctored memo. It's physical evidence that Holmes admitted to doctoring on the stand.
At a minimum, Sunny should get a pretty good plea deal. I doubt the government will want to do this all over again.
Often its the men that play protector in that role and the women have her pegged for a hussy, particularly if they think she is a pretty blonde.

Probably not, because I’ve read how the City of Austin has been going after owners of 60 year old homes that had really old unpermitted renovations/additions.
I could see that being a potential issue if it created a safety concern, like electrical, etc...but for a lawn maybe its different.

Actually the joke is on me.
My HOA nazis sent me a sternly worded letter in late November that I had to submit an application to do landscaping changes like we did.
So I submitted an application a week later stating the work had been done in July of 2015. Three weeks ago I received an email that the “landscaping committee” had rejected my application to do that change.
Of course they said I had a month to file an appeal, but will have to remove enough of the gravel and resod it with water guzzling grass to have 75% of the front yard (which includes side yards and the ivy covered beds) in greenery. They didn’t complain when I made the change from dead St. Augustine 6 years ago to the water-conserving xeriscape.
When we built the house 26 years ago I was aware that changes to the house structure had to be approved by the HOA “architectural committee”, but didn’t notice any fine print about landscaping changes - just to maintain a neat yard.I wonder under Texas law, or within your agreement, there is anything about waiver of enforcement. Is there a statute of limitations?
