  1. well it is trending to red giant, GW is real.
  2. Englebert with the bomb for BING.
  3. I hear ya but I think this game will be pretty crowded.
  4. HBP. Wake and Miami tied at 4.
  5. thank god baseball is not soccer. straight reds are given when no contact is made because flopping. his foot is going to come down at the bag. the problem is the dumbass fielder decides to dive for a shitty throw 3 feet towards 1B. can let it go and not get hurt very easily. in triplicate so immamac can keep the yellow copy.
  6. if Oregon, the call by ump was safe. they replayed to call Malicious Intent or some such nonsense.
  7. the hilarious thing about what happened is the Oregon guy is going to slide until the catcher completely blocks his path with his left foot so the guy pulls up because he can't change to sliding head first and it is too late to try to get around him. had he slid he probably tears up the catchers ankle/knee and his own. everyone gets even more hurt. as it was what he did(go to his knees and brace for a hit on the catchers chest) probably was the least malicious thing he could have done. Umpires are fucking morons, even with replay.
  8. I'm wondering what happens if the oregon runner stops and points at him and says "he's obstructing!" so that he doesn't hit him and gets tagged. is he safe?
  9. good call. I guess I was considering the 1966 to 2012 basically the same logo/style.
  10. Jonah is moving fast, he might have to slide earlier than Borba or Schuessler
  11. it is no big deal until extras or bottom 9 in a tight game.
  12. I watched it live and it didn't look dirty. the 2B was pulled down and way 1B side. when you slide initially your lead foot is in the air. not sure if it is a thing for Jonah but he is leading with his left foot on the slide. If he leads with his right he probably misses or grazes him. I don't see anything malicious. it was a hard slide, not late, directly to the bag, and the fielder caused some of the action because he was pulled 1B side. maybe the 2B should get there early enough or not dive into the runner to catch a shitty throw. the guy is in well in front of the bag and almost on the fucking ground. shit happens. dirty is spikes up at the bag with the fielder in a normal tagging position. this is none of that. It's like people have never played baseball before. guess what, you might get hurt.
  13. he actually starts to slide and goes to his knees because the catcher is out so far out. he would have broken his ankle had he completed his slide into the catcher. The catchers position stepping into the baseline without the ball gave the runner no choice. the catcher also set up well in front of the plate up the baseline, early.
  14. does a runner have to avoid a fielder in the basepath who doesn't have the ball?
  15. if the catcher is 3 to 4 feet farther up the line in the basepath does the runner have to slide?
  16. midnight is just considered dinner time in the boot.
  17. right, it had nothing to do with sliding which is what you said. it had to do with them making some judgement call that he had malicious intent when he contacted the catcher.
  18. this. it wasn't that he didn't slide it was that he "wanted" to run him over "in his head" of course. which of course is why it took 7 fucking minutes because they were divining "intent".
  19. if the throw takes the catcher 3 or 4 more feet up the line in the baseline does the runner have to slide?
  20. Vandy getting the dream bracket. damn that wright state coach is a fucking idiot.
  21. he tried to hold up and actually did. the dumbass catcher was obstructing 3 feet up the line and straddling the line about 2 feet on either side. It is a horrible call. If it was so straightforward why did it take 7 min?
  22. they should start drawing/marking boxes and lines on the field. so everyone knows what they have to do where. the ball wasn't even dislodged by the contact. if the throw takes the catcher up the line it is the fault of the catcher and the fielder throwing the ball.
  23. this is the hilarious part. how is he supposed to slide that early? the whole thing is ridiculous but here we are.
  24. this is what happens when you pussify everything.
