  1. assuming no PP, our only chance is 6 on 5.
  2. gonna need some serious puck luck to even tie this up.
  3. that is just horrible to ice the puck there...there was no one on him.
  4. you basically witnessed a baseball miracle. I'm taking it. bought the world series gear(glass, shirt(s), tumbler, hat(s). It will never happen again. i've seen some ugly lineups over the years but 80% of the time it was just horribad pitching. It is weird to see it in complete reverse.
  5. we need the break. were getting worked the last 5 min. need Jake to pitch a SO.
  6. what the fuck is Pang talking about? he's such a douche.
  7. Rantanen needs tp do something.
  8. would have been nice had they been watching for interference on the EDM goal.
  9. yep. that was a take down but they made up for it calling the interference.
  10. we need to start "picking"
  11. so that "pick" is not obstruction?
  12. just turned it on. let me guess. stupid penalty and down 1-0. the other guess is NHL trying to get Canada a cup with pussy soft shit
  13. I gave it a solid B. iI do agree on the lack of funny banter but once Luther got got it was mainly Ethan on his own to save the world with random people helping him while the others had to find the coordinates...which reminds me of this scene.
  14. right, the list is Kent, Hornsby, Grich and maybe Joe Morgan makes the top 5.
  15. cautionary tale for those wanting to visit their "girlfriend" in Niagra Falls.
  16. in looking at these stats I wondered if any one of them plus the triple crown guys have done this... led league 1 season in all the traditional "offensive" categories(took out SB because it leaves no one) R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, BB, Avg,OBP,Slug 2 players in the history of baseball - Gehrig and Hornsby. Cobb didn't have walks(he had the SB's though and had one year of 118 BB where Eddie Collins had 119). everyone else had at least 2 categories missed that I could tell. check the 1920-1925 run for Hornsby. there are 2 seasons later where he leads in BB. so he led the league twice in each of these categories during his career. fucking mind bottling.
  17. yep I assumed Aaron didn't win BA but he did twice. Musial would have lead in HR but be played in st louis, so he got to lead the league in doubles and triples all the time.
  18. So Eddie Murrray led the league in 1981 in HR and RBI. In 1990, Murray, playing for Dodgers, hit .330 which was the highest avg for MLB for the season. Willie McGee hit .335 for the Cardinals but was traded to AL after he had enough PA's to qualify for the batting title. McGee ended up hitting .324 for the entire season but won the NL batting title.
  19. there is a quirky one that involves a HOF that would be related to this question. so we have one HOF left? Hall of Famers: Ruth, Speaker, Dimaggio, Mize, 1 more? non-HOF: Bonds, ARod, Pujols, Manny, Andres fucking Galarraga
  20. he won the triple crown so he's out.
  21. Galarraga qualified by 4 PA's. Which might be a good trivia question. largest increase in batting average in consecutive years where player qualified by PA's.
  22. Mize, then.
  23. sheffield?
  24. yeah the 70's, 80's, early 90's are tough when you have Gwynn, Carew, Boggs, Madlock, Rose,
