    Rush

I had never seen Rush and on the R40 tour coming through Austin I said fuck it I'm going. asked my high school aged son at the time if he wanted to go. He passed. I've never let him forget it. I get one more shot.
  2. I think I know why we haven't found the Lake Austin Killer....
  3. Does All Gas, No Brakes Sark realize that applies to coaching also. does he realize has a team of 100 18-22 year olds. my god, we don't need the NFL plan. you give an 18-22 YO some amount of money and then go easy on them, they are going to take advantage and coast(at least 80-90% would). Christ, Connor Stroh was probably laughing at how easy spring and fall camp were as he was driving to the bank. maybe getting his ass beat by our DL over and over again because his technique is awful A) might have helped or B) at least exposed him. holy fuck what a disaster. I think we need some Herb Brooks attitude....
  4. Gein is a strange one. he is of course a serial killer by definition but most of the story is about the stuff he did before he started killing which isn't like Dahmer, Kemper, Green River, Bundy, etc. He's a weird case and I can see how it could be viewed as boring.
  5. well that's not good. how are we going to make it through the playoffs if we practice too rough?
  6. at this point, I'll be happy if I can watch a complete first quarter against a real team and not be saying "WTF is going on?"
  7. Until Sark becomes the head coach of the whole team and not just the OC we are going to see games like Florida. Just not ready to go. Florida was ready to play their best game to back their coach. This was the Alamo for them. lose to us, then to aggy on the road(very likely) and they are 1-5 and SunBelt Billy is toast. I expect aggy to beat them by 20, probably knock Lagway out in the 2nd quarter. Florida is not a good team. We played a hurt Lagway like he was gonna Lamar Jackson us. never even tried to pressure that much really.
  8. I'm shocked there is no structural damage to Livingstone's leg. on the replay I thought for sure there would be some type of facture.
  9. don't care, got paid.
  10. I think it is because they are sometimes trying for a 2nd season but still want an ending or cliff hanger. it is hard to thread that needle. Black Rabbit seemed like a one and done though vs. Alien Earth which seemed to always be trying for multiple seasons. (I haven't read up on either so not sure if there was a multi season contract for either).
  11. no, because apparently Stroh or his family has incriminating pictures on Flood and Sark.
  12. these S&C coaches all do mostly the same thing at this level. their isn't some crazy secret sauce. the issue is coaching technique/scheme and not recruiting 3 stars across the board because they are large humans.
  13. Georgia was big and they stoned us last year.
  14. of course they were. same shit different year. one was complete bullshit though.
  15. dumb sooner WR...
  16. ha. I guess the league is tired of KC now.
  17. The ones with the best food do, I'm sure.
  18. Ewers probably covered a lot of warts in Sark's O. Manning just doesn't have the experience to do that yet.
  19. The ASU game was extremely concerning. Their DL worked us over.
  20. agree. there is little you can do during the season but bringing someone in to at least put new eyes on what you are doing could help incrementally. intradasting this guy was QC for Ohio State the last 2 years.
  21. some of the lines we've had could do one or the other(run or pass) but not both. I dream of having one of those lines. It is funny that people didn't see that Flood was a problem when everyone was bitching about red zone failures for the last 3 years. that is/was directly related to your OL underperforming. He brought in Neal Brown because he needed to have some plays in the red zone that would be successful when your OL sucks and you can't power yourself through the defense.
  22. yep. but I will say there is something wrong. The TE runs past his blockers, if he sits behind his blockers Campbell's guy can't make the play. Campbell is probably supposed to get upfield and maybe assumes the LB shouldn't be able to get to the TE. it also could be that Arch is late with the throw. The TE was beyond the LOS so we probably get called for lineman downfield if it breaks big.
  23. The OL is absolutely the most important unit on a football team. they protect(meaning both having a solid running game and pass pro) your most valuable asset. It was why I wanted Mack gone. Sark letting Flood destroy the room with his incompetence is mind bottling. Our OL last year was talented enough to win it all and we still had shit in the redzone. A well coached line with that talent level should never have issues in the red zone.
  24. wow, they must be fucking idiots. It is funny, the last time I remember being surprised about how we pushed people around was the Sugar Bowl against Georgia years ago. For pretty much 20 years I never expect our OL to push the other really good teams around. We've had a few decent lines to be sure but it has been somewhere in the neighborhood of 20% good/80% not good IMO. I will say It is weird the OL had a decent day against OSU.
