That said, there's a general consensus of recruiting concern on TexAgs and GigEm247 that I've never seen during the Jimbo era.

Last year they really could not believe Jimbo wouldn't finish strong.  He had just landed the best class ever, and since they don't understand how it actually happened, they assumed he'd be able to do it again.

This year they're seeing the slow start and not assuming things will pick up.  The situation may not be that different, but their recognition of the situation is.

It also appears the WR he targeted I think 14 times in that game didn't want to catch a football with his broke hand.

    This is the biggest issue.

If it's true that Worthy had a broken hand and wanted to play through it, ok.

That doesn't explain why we went stretches of games taking deep shot after deep shot to him, knowing Quinn likely wouldn't hit him and if he did Worthy likely wouldn't catch it.

I'm not down on Worthy, either.  I wouldn't be surprised for him to bounce back this year find a better rhythm with Quinn given a full offseason to work on timing together with no split qb1 reps.  But this is kind of a bullshit explanation for how we used him and how he performed with that usage last year.

Owens waited a little bit but had decided he wanted to commit that day so, when he could not get in touch with Fisher, he called Texas and committed to the Longhorns.

A&M obviously wished at the time he had committed to them instead but they actually always felt pretty good about landing him in the end. He ended up decommitting from Texas four months later and, though there was also a long Louisville commitment in there as well, he ended up in Aggieland

What an in depth review of the relevant events.

    1. Commits to Texas (despite really wanting aggy)

    2. Decommits from Texas

    3. Commits to Louisville

    4. ...(some unimportant other stuff)...

    5. Ends up with aggy

    That will be $9.95 please

  4. It's classic aggy that they fail to realize that an NCAA case against Jimbo is exactly the bailout they need from that fucking idiotic contract.

I refuse to believe that any minor NCAA penalties could do more damage than continuing to pay this staff their guaranteed money while they run the program into the ground.  They need to find cause, and the NCAA could hand it to them on a platter.

Meanwhile their victim mentality prevents them from seeing this as the opportunity that it is, and instead they'll all rally behind Jimbo against the big bad NCAA.

    And I'm here for it.

they are waiting for "next year" when jimbo finally has all of his own 'cruits and has his system in place and the proper coordinators to implement it

Everyone knows it takes 8 years to get your players, system, and third round of coaching staff (including shuffling around position responsibilities) in place.  Mark it down, sip.

Brainstorming just for fun, some other offense big names without a job: Scott Frost, Bryan Harsin (lol), David Shaw (somehow might be landing Broncos job), Cutcliffe, Kliff (no chance), Karl Dorrell if he counts.

I would've had Clay Helton at the top of the list (Sark's former OC and from Houston) but apparently he's the HC at Georgia St.

edit: Justin Fuente is another one. Was at TCU for a while with GP

My bet is on Darrell Dickey.
