  1. LJ is just a baller, forget about practice, that play shows everything that makes him a special WR.

I'm really hoping he can keep getting chances in the other preseason games and end up on the roster in NOLA or somewhere else.

Looks like the NFL settled with Kaepernick

Mark Geragos always said that they had a strong case, apparently he was right. Enough to make the NFL settle and keep it a little quieter than if it had come out that they were forced to pay X million to Kaepernick. Now they can quietly pay him probably fewer X million.

Florio is floating a roughly $50 million settlement amount.

Not a lot of melts with the new early signing period..

Anybody in the Big 12 lose out on anyone?

Anyone not sign that is a major signal that they are going JUCO?

There has to be something to post about besides tits, beer, and and young athletic HS kids

  4. For everyone talking about how the #5 team always loses in the CFP era and Georgia had no motivation, I just ask them how many millions they made betting against Georgia -13 in Vegas. It is a totally after-the-fact rationalization.

  5. TIL that bulldogs are called bulldogs because they were used in England to fight bulls in the 1600's:

    From wikipedia

The designation "bull" was applied because of the dog's use in the sport of bull baiting. This entailed the setting of dogs (after placing wagers on each dog) onto a tethered bull. The dog that grabbed the bull by the nose and pinned it to the ground would be the victor. It was common for a bull to maim or kill several dogs at such an event, either by goring, tossing, or trampling. Over the centuries, dogs used for bull-baiting developed the stocky bodies and massive heads and jaws that typify the breed as well as a ferocious and savage temperament

Basically this is a rivalry that goes much deeper than we thought.

You could put those fucks in  any got damn conference in the country & they'd still be perennial 3rd-5th place finishers.

3rd-5th? Based on which bowl they were slotted into, I believe they are considered the 7th best team in the SEC this year.

  7. My head says to cheer for OU since we already beat them on a neutral field, and it wasn't nearly as close as the final score says, while we lost to WVU at home. But I just can't do it, too satisfying for OU to be sitting at home watching the Big XII championship between two teams they lost to.

This was your main take away?

If you want my real takeaway it's this: at some 4th rate college in the UK with 3000 students and that has only been a university for 6 years, a staffer in the journalism school sent out a memo saying don't use ALL CAPs in your messages to students. The professors and students both laughed off this suggestion. Yet some idiot decided this was still worthy of a new thread. Great job.
