I'd like to know how much money they thought they were saving by not including spare tires or even designing the CT to have a spare tire without filling up the "bed" versus people having to get towed.
And while I know the CT buyers are all Musk fanbois or influencers looking for clicks, but those whose CT purchases substantially eat into their bank accounts probably have to have a few second thoughts fairly often.
I assumed it was a weight saving decision like the wiring. Having less wires by using their shitty one wire wiring harness design... And then using a 48v system vs a 12v system means less amps and smaller wire...Plus the thin ass aluminum and plastic frame/subframe. I think if they would have actually built a sturdy truck in Elon's image it would have weighed over 5 metric fucktons and been F-450 class instead of F-250.

What are those? 120 cigarettes?

If a CT had to make an emergency move while pulling a trailer, it may snap it's own ass off. Did you see how THIN the aluminum frame is??
Especially for a pick-up that's supposed to be in the F250/2500 class....

No the complexity is if people aren’t allowed to pop the hood to even poke around at the engine bay because their employer doesn’t trust them not to drain the oil and drive away. Makes it tough to jump the battery if you are locked out of getting to the battery.

This is epic.
How do you parlay this? Do you wait for them to come to you tail between legs? Or do you proactively send an email or eyes emoji their way?
Either way, get your flowers on the next company All Hands
That's not how chiefs act. They will forget all about F250 saying anything in the first place and if he brings it up they'll act oblivious and will let him know that he doesn't need to bring it up again.

It's worse than that. It's an inverse relationship: those least able to control their emotions/keep their cool are generally the most likely to be carrying a gun.
The more balanced you are, and the more you are likely to avoid unnecessary and unproductive conflict, the less likely you are to carry a gun.
TLDR; carrying a gun enables amped up idiocy.
I don't disagree.
I don't usually carry (on person or in a vehicle) unless I'm traveling with my family. I've said here before that if by myself I feel fairly confident that I can avoid or remove myself from a bad situation if I need to, but not so much when directing the wife and kids too.
My dad always said never let anyone know you have a gun and never pull it unless you need to use it. And use it if you pull it.

This type of incident is why I'm opposed to people walking around with guns. They see red for whatever reason, and they grab their gun. Too many people cannot control their emotions and they want to show someone that you can't screw with them.
So, yes people that can't control their own emotions should not be carrying guns... But they do.

I graduated HS with Brooke, her mom lived in Lompoc and her dad lives here in our hometown still. I guess she'd go back and forth often enough to be considered a resident of both places. I would see her around town and actually saw her about a month ago and we talked for a minute. Very talented athlete when we were in school and a natural beauty. Sometime after college she got into drugs pretty heavy and was in some pretty bad relationships. Anyway, small town gossip is that her mom was trying to force her into rehab and they got into a fight.

SpoilerThe woman killed in a Vandenberg Village homicide over the weekend was the mother of the suspect arrested in the case, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office revealed on Monday.
Denise Ann Carter, 71, was found dead inside a residence in the unincorporated community near Lompoc, said Raquel Zick, sheriff’s public information officer.
Sheriff’s deputies responded at approximately 6:45 a.m. Saturday to the area of Sami Lane and Khouri Circle for a report of suspicious circumstances.
They discovered Carter dead inside a residence on Khouri Circle, Zick said.
Detectives identified and arrested Brooke M. Carter, 46, of Lompoc and Oklahoma in connection with the killing.
The suspect is the victim’s daughter, Zick added.
The cause and manner of death and possible motive were not released by the Sheriff’s Office.
Carter was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, where she remained Monday night, with bail set at $2 million.

The people who worked as waiters during college made more money than most people that worked other hourly jobs. A big portion of bartenders in Austin now have degrees but keep bartending longer because they make more money than they would starting out using their degrees… I think tipping culture works pretty good.
When my nephew was a waiter he used to say something about Canadians always being poor tippers 🤷♂️ I dunno, I worked in the kitchen in my only food service job.

One dark night outside a small town in Minnesota, a fire started inside the local chemical plant and in a blink of an eye it exploded into massive flames. The alarm went out to all the fire departments for miles around.
When the volunteer fire fighters appeared on the scene, the chemical company president rushed to the fire chief and said, "All our secret formulas are in the vault in the center of the plant. They must be saved. I will give $50,000 to the fire department that brings them out intact."
But the roaring flames held the firefighters off.
Soon more fire departments had to be called in as the situation became desperate. As the firemen arrived, the president shouted out that the offer was now $100,000 to the fire department who could bring out the company's secret files.
From the distance, a lone siren was heard as another fire truck came into sight. It was the nearby Norwegian rural township volunteer fire company composed mainly of Norwegians over the age of 65. To everyone's amazement, that little run-down fire engine roared right past all the newer sleek engines that were parked outside the plant.
Without even slowing down it drove straight into the middle of the inferno. Outside, the other firemen watched as the Norwegian old timers jumped off right in the middle of the fire fought it back on all sides. It was a performance and effort never seen before.
Within a short time, the Norske old timers had extinguished the fire and had saved the secret formulas. The grateful chemical company president announced that for such a superhuman feat he was upping the reward to $200,000, and walked over to personally thank each of the brave fire fighters.
The local TV news reporter rushed in to capture the event on film, asking their chief, "What are you going to do with all that money?"
"Vell," said Ole Larsen, the 70-year-old fire chief, "Da first thing ve gonna do is fix da brakes on dat focking truck!

China recalling their best Ambassadors. The Pandas at the National Zoo.
After more than two decades of "panda diplomacy," Washington's popular pandas were being returned to China Wednesday.
The Smithsonian National Zoo's three current pandas, Mei Xiang (May-SHONG), Tian Tian (tee-YEN tee-YEN) and Xiao Qi Ji (SHIAU-chi-ji), were loaded into special crates Wednesday morning for a 19-hour plane ride aboard the FedEx "Giant Panda Express" to Chengdu, China.
Mei Xiang and Tian Tian arrived in Washington in 2000 and their fourth cub, Xiao Qi Ji, was born in 2020. Xiao Qi Ji's siblings were sent to China when each of them was 2 or 3 years old, after their births created a national sensation.
The National Zoo has had giant pandas since 1972, when President Richard Nixon was gifted a pair, Hsing-Hsing and Ling-Ling, by Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mao Zedong in exchange for a pair of arctic musk oxen -- goodwill gestures as the countries opened diplomatic relations.

I sleep much better knowing scumbags out there can't stroll by Joe Mazda's desk and see that I had my tires rotated last week.
And that my data is super secure on a server ... that just got hacked ... like the umpteen bazillion other servers that have my info that have been hacked.
I had this argument with our IT guys. It was decided early last year that we were going to use LastPass and they shut off all the web browsers' ability to save passwords on the corporate machines. OK. But big brother's stance was that LastPass is way more safer and secure than having your passwords written down on paper so stop writing all your passwords down and give them to LastPass. I work in a secured control room that requires a need to be here and a federal background check to have unescorted access, then everyone that does come in and out is logged and recorded by door cameras. I think my notebook of passwords in my desk drawer is less likely of getting broken into than any offsite third party's server.

Man I remember this one time I used to visit this one message board. I wasn't a fan of the team they focused on but I found it was a great place to get news about college football but it also had areas that were pretty funny, and some that were actually really useful.
Then one day it turned to shit so I quit going there.

https://www.localprofile.com/community/why-prosper-texas-police-use-a-689000-vehicle-8990600
QuoteAccording to the town of Prosper’s Communications and Media Relations Manager Todd Rice, Prosper Police Department’s emergency rescue vehicle has attended most of the town’s events since it was purchased in 2019.
The armored vehicle was acquired at no cost to the town or its taxpayers through the Federal 1033 program. “Valued at $689,000, its ability to serve in high water rescues, active shooter situations, hostage or barricaded person rescues and any other critical incidents involving our officers or officers in nearby communities, is invaluable,” Rice told Local Profile.
