  1. Got beat up. Let's see how they respond.
  2. Texas needs to get mean. And quick.
  3. Texas OL right now.
  4. We're behind the shed, and it ain't going well.
  5. This is their Super Bowl. They'd rather beat Texas than anyone, so they may shoot their wad early. I think Sark can make some changes and get us going.
  6. OL would have trouble against The Sisters of the Poor.
  7. This feels like a game Texas can figure out and exploit the Hog's flaws. Might take a quarter or so, but Texas has better talent.
  8. That's a major fuckup!
  9. Sure. They're obsessed with returning to what are essentially the old Jewish purity laws, all of which were rejected by Jesus in the New Testament. But I don't agree with your edit (inserting fundamentalist) and think perhaps you may have misunderstood my intent. I'm saying our dominant cultural attributes in America (most of which are bad) are incompatible with early church Christianity or Christ's real teaching. Our lack of national healthcare could be Exhibit A. Mass incarceration could be Exhibit B. Add our lack of care for the environment, etc.
  10. Yep. It's been that way since the third century. I'd say it started when men decided that women (who helped finance and support Christianity) could no longer hold leadership roles in the early church. The core principles of Christianity are essentially incompatible with the dominant American cultural attributes. Building wealth, the lust for power, economic growth with no regard for the health of the planet, inequality. We're not a "Christian nation." America can be terrifying.
  11. DTR not playing great, so we’re lucky to be up.
  12. LSU has some bad men.
  13. Fellow Bruin alum, here. Looking forward to seeing a full Rose Bowl and, yes, to a big signature win for Chip.
  14. UCLA always looks good in those uniforms.
  15. Looks like he can sit where ever he wants.
  16. WTF?
  17. Yeah, he can't throw for shit.
  18. Ignorance can be paralyzing and fatal.
  19. No he's not. It's the smart move. He's surrounded himself with guys that are former NBA stars and champions. It's basically a development year with a solid coach with NBA coaching experience and a former all-star guard.
  20. His team was vastly improved by the final quarter of the season. Great defensive team. And now that he has Larry Brown, any strategic deficiencies should be minimized.
  21. The appalling level of ignorance in America is more terrifying than the virus.
