IDF is saying that several senior Iranian military commanders and senior nuclear scientists have been eliminated in the strikes.

"This is war.  The Middle East is entering a whole new phase that we've never seen before in the region."  -- Barak Ravid, analyst

Same guy: they anticipate ballistic missile response, but much wider, potentially enough to overwhelm missile defenses.

Earlier guy said the ballistic missiles can get from Tehran to Israel in 13 minutes.  So, response may be very fast.

Kaitlin Collins just credited the guy named above as one of the foremost experts in the region.

There were a few elections today with significant overperformances by the Democratic candidate, including in Tulsa. Not sure if this is the right thread but...

the nurturing biosphere of the guadalupe river.  I loved my summers in hunt.

I’m glad I can afford to offer my kids an opportunity to find themselves in that sacred biome as opposed to random dorm room floors, all night study sessions, all night benders, my bed with / the bed of loose women, and now the exile couch in the sunroom.

the density of summer camps in Hunt, Texas blows my mind.

    How? Why?

But also, why can’t I fucking go to camp?

Adult summer camp would be fucking sick.

Swimming, archery, horse riding, and all meals prepared.
Although I could never pay for my own happiness like I pay for my families….
But the month with no kids is one fucking nice fringe benefit.

The sad part is that I just end up working late every day, but just feel less guilty about it.

What the hell are we talking about again?

Elon bails and thats most of his money for any re-election campaign and he'll also fund stuff to displace republicans.

    This.

Trumps complete lock on the Republicans party was because of the Death Star of money that was Elon.

It’s not like republicans are going to find religion and oppose him in mass force, but not being able to absolutely bully moderates into voting for Medicare and Medicaid cuts or Fiscal hawks into 2.5 trillion in deficits will severely limit Trump’s lasting agenda.

Hell still get to do his executive order dictator schtick. But any lasting change via legislation will not be achieved.

Any changes will come from Congress sitting on their hands during presidential overreach and the Supremes throwing out decades of precedence.

Speaking of cool shit in the local Nearly New... Harper's library has (or used to have) a resale shop with some weird and also some damn fine stuff. Def worth a look, if you aren't in a hurry.

ETA Harper is on 290 about halfway between FBurg and I10.

Damn, I’ll have to stop by here on the way to pick the kiddos up from camp in Hunt.

    Thanks for the rec

    Not insects.

Insects have 6 legs and three body segments.

The head, abdomen (where all their legs are located), and thorax.

While arthropods like insects, spiders are arachnids which also include scorpions and ticks. They have two body segments: the abdomen and cephalothorax as well as 8 legs.

Spiders are legit even if Jeff Daniels isn’t a fan.
    However, they are no insect.

dont know if this has been mentioned but the Louisville bat girls in the white dresses are a nice touch. Don’t know about the faces due to camera focus but the bodies look on point.

    Bravo.
