  1. You guys clearly weren't watching March Madness on the March Madness Live app if you're just now becoming apoplectic about the What a Pro Wants commercial.

  2. Eric Gordon getting 39 minutes in an elimination game where he only made 2 shots. Oh man, Suns are fucked.

  3. I don't even care that Doc has a legitimate excuse for losing this series... I can't wait to rip him to shreds for making them at every opportunity possible as per norm.

overemphasis on the 3 leads to massive variations in scores.  Need to do somethign about the 3, make it 33 feet or something.

There are several good arguments to be made about the over-reliance on 3s being detrimental to the game.

"Let's make it so big leads are safe, and viewers can comfortably turn their televisions off at halftime" isn't one of them.

The high-level rapists have more opportunities to be rapists due to higher population and technology, but the marginal guys are scared of being caught or cancelled due to technology. It balances out.

Men are having less sex, but I don't think there's a single reason anyone could point to for that.

Marginal Rapists would not make a good band name.

  6. Say what you will about today's NBA, but it's pretty cool to see a home crowd going crazy at the end of a 14-3 run to see their team pull within [checks notes] 20, feeling like they still have a decent chance to pull this one out...which they do.

Let's also give credit to NAW, ANT and McDaniels. All of those guys make Gobert's job a lot easier.

For sure. Minnesota banked on becoming the best defense in the league (or close to it), Rudy not being a situational liability in the playoffs, their existing roster being good/deep enough, and Ant making the leap to transcendent superstar. If all those things came to fruition, no one would miss the draft picks or think they paid too much.

Pretty easy to be skeptical with Minnesota's history and the completely disastrous first year of the experiment that culminated in Gobert punching his own teammate during a game. But it's currently hard to argue that most of those things are progressing as planned or better at this point.

So...are we all ready to admit that 99% of this forum was wrong about the Rudy trade and @MNLonghornFUKM was right?

    season 7 yes GIF

And to his extreme credit, Rudy has dramatically improved his versatility as a defender. The days of playing him off the court are over. You can't just pull him out of the paint, isolate him in space, and put him on skates anymore.

  9. This pains me to say, but Rudy Gobert's work to become comfortable guarding the perimeter has been incredibly impressive and noticeable.

  10. Not quite as embarrassing and franchise crushing as when Luka adopted Booker, but it's right up there. Where the fuck do they go from here?

I mean they're not getting swept, so they're winning tomorrow.

Damn, Suns somehow suck even worse than I thought.

There's also a large portion that have about as progressive views as you can. I thought diversity was a good thing. I would put diversity of thought in that bucket as well.

In an ideal world, universities encourage that sort of thing.

You guys don't make fun of texags and "aggys" solely because of their values and opinions. You make fun of them because they arrived at those beliefs by being some of the most persecution complex, afraid of their own shadow, delusional, conformation bias, unintellectually curious mother fuckers on the planet.

No, universities should not encourage "that sort of thing".

Does anyone else think Boston would lose not only to Denver but also OKC, Minny, and maybe the Clippers?

We do this every year. Miami is a really, really tough out every single year without fail, regardless of seeding. They were the only team to win a game in Denver in last year's playoffs. Obviously, Boston struggles to match their intesity game in and game out. But I'd still favor the Celtics over any team not defending their championship.

I'm not really a Stern guy, but what makes him one of the most removed and protected individuals on the planet? Any moreso than any great interviewer was, like Larry King, etc?

Hasn't he basically been a shut in for over a decade, amplified to 11 in 2020? But I'm only passing along what I've casually overheard/read, so I know jack shit about what I'm talking about and will shut up now. Delete user.

Stern has a wide cross section of blue and white collar listeners that are important to appeal to. I think it's a wise interview.

That's fair. I'm certainly no Howard Stern historian, but I thought it was pretty widely known that he's gone off the deep end a little since COVID and his political leanings aren't exactly subtle. If the remaining audience is broader than I'm giving them credit for, all good. Nothing wrong with a relatively "safe" interview.

Lebron about to add yet another sweep and yet another first round exit to his resume. Impressive stuff.

Only the second time in 20 years (2021) that neither LeBron or Steph have won a playoff series. End of an era. One team is probably going to rebuild; the other team should, but can't/won't.
