  1. No, outside of Plano. I was just out in the garage and two pimply faced teenage city workers pulled up and shut the water off with a special tool even though I never scheduled anything with the city, was just asking for info from them. But they were cool, gave me their cell number and said to let them know when to come back and they'd be there within 30 min so it's all good
  2. I put some channel locks on the street side valve and wouldn't budge, sprayed some penetrating lube and tried again an hour later and nothing. Don't want to bust that valve so I didn't put a ton of pressure on it but enough to feel like I'd be fucked if I tried harder. Don't have a water softener. I've looked over every inch of the garage, I can't think of a single, logical place I haven't checked. Is there a special tool for the street side valve? Didn't seem to be anything special about it. Just worried I'll call the city to shut it off, change the valves and then they'll say it'll be 24-48 hours to turn it back on.
  3. Replaced our sink and disposal so had to shut down the valves, had a hell of a time getting them fully closed and when I finally opened them back up the cold water comes on but hot water just trickles. Valves are 15 years old so they need replacing, figure the hot water valve is just crapped out. Problem is I can't find the water shutoff. I can find the one by the street but it won't budge but everything I've read says there's the street shutoff and another one somewhere in the house. I've checked by the water heater, every sink, the washer room, outside the house. Finally called the city and talked to the front desk lady who says the only shutoff is the street one and I need to schedule a shutoff and then schedule them to come turn it back on. Is she full of shit? It's a one story house built in 2002, anywhere else I should check?

  5. Good god man, take it to another thread if you want to gripe about Trump, Russia and whatever else
  6. I would say Bill Clinton, child separation started on his watch and he was known to like the kiddies so that'd be a great place to start.
  7. Not going to try and paste the article from tapa http://www.abc12.com/content/news/Authorities-find-51-of-76-missing-children-during-Genesee-County-sweep-485601851.html
  8. Mentioned to the wife that I wanted to build a coffee table and she responded with something about wanting a vanity. So I guess I'm building a vanity. My only strategy now is to figure out a design that allows me to need as many new tools as necessary
  9. Like how he raises his hand with ball for a flat footed dunk and proceeds to stare down the 5'1" kid guarding him

  12. Got an honest laugh out loud over this. Sorry to point out that our immigration policies over multiple presidencies have been horrendous. Obama locked kids in cages too and despite what you've read his practices separated kids from parents whether or not they arrived at the border together. This has needed fixing for a long long time, since before Obama. Just love how now all the sudden there's outrage. Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  13. Whatever you say man. The immigration policy and practices of both the Obama and Trump administrations are despicable. Don't see why one should get a pass and the other is excused Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  14. Where was the outrage when kids were being separated from their parents and locked in cages back when there was someone else in the white house? This shit didn't just now start happening Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  15. Chilean police raid Catholic Church offices amid abuse probe SANTIAGO, Chile — Police and prosecutors raided Roman Catholic Church offices in two Chilean cities Wednesday looking for files, investigative reports and documents related to a sex abuse scandal that has damaged the clergy’s reputation in the South American country. The surprise raids targeted the headquarters of Santiago’s Ecclesiastical Court and the bishop’s office in Rancagua in the O’Higgins region, where 14 priests are accused of having had sexual relations with minors. “In Chile, we are all subject to common justice,” said prosecutor Emiliano Arias, who led the raid in Santiago. Cardinal Ricardo Ezzati, the archbishop of Santiago, said church officials “gave the prosecutor all the requested documentation.” He added that they are “available to cooperate with the civilian justice system in all that is required.” In May, all of Chile’s 30-plus active bishops offered to quit over their collective guilt in failing to protect Chile’s children from priests who raped, groped and molested them. Wednesday’s raids came as two leading Vatican investigators — Archbishop Charles Scicluna and Spanish Monsignor Jordi Bertomeu — are in Chile to investigate the sexual abuse of minors committed by clergy. Scicluna and Bertomeu earlier put together a 2,300-page report that prompted Pope Francis to realize he had misjudged the Chilean situation. On Monday, Francis began purging Chile’s Catholic hierarchy over the avalanche of sex abuse and cover-up cases, starting with accepting the resignations of the bishop at the center of the scandal and two others. More heads were expected to roll. A Vatican statement Monday said Francis had accepted the resignations of Bishop Juan Barros of Osorno, Bishop Gonzalo Duarte of Valparaiso and Bishop Cristian Caro of Puerto Montt. He named a temporary leader for each diocese. Barros, 61, has been at the center of Chile’s growing scandal ever since Francis appointed him bishop of Osorno in 2015 over the objections of the local faithful, the pope’s own sex abuse prevention advisers and some of Chile’s other bishops. The report exposed evidence that the Chilean hierarchy systematically covered up and minimized abuse cases, destroying evidence of sex crimes, pressuring church investigators to discredit abuse accusations and showing “grave negligence” in protecting children from pedophile priests. Those findings opened a Pandora’s Box of new accusations that led Francis to become the first pope to refer to a “culture of abuse and cover-up” in the Catholic Church. The raids in Chile were reminiscent of the police search carried out in 2010 at the headquarters of the Catholic Church hierarchy in Belgium, which prompted Pope Benedict XVI to intervene and protest the “deplorable” intrusion in the Catholic Church’s legal process. Belgian police took away computers and hundreds of files amid rumors that church leaders were continuing to cover up abuse cases. The raid prompted a Catholic panel investigating abuse to shut down in protest, saying Belgian authorities had betrayed the trust of nearly 500 victims who made complaints to the panel. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/the_americas/chilean-police-raid-catholic-church-offices-amid-abuse-probe/2018/06/13/6e6115a2-6f56-11e8-b4d8-eaf78d4c544c_story.html?utm_term=.ca21bc0b1d63
  16. Crazy shit. It's got to suck being unbelievably wealthy, losing your mental faculties, nearing the end of your life and having wolves in sheeps clothing circling you. Stan Lee Granted Temporary Restraining Order Against Business Manager, LAPD Investigating Claims of Elder Abuse The move comes two days after Keya Morgan was arrested on suspicion of filing a false report to police. Stan Lee on Wednesday filed for a restraining order against the man he said last week was the only person who was handling his affairs and business, Keya Morgan, a Los Angeles Superior Court media relations rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Lee was granted a temporary restraining order against Morgan, authorities told THR. The request for a permanent order is 43 pages long. A court date to decide that request is set for July 6. The restraining order request was filed two days after Morgan was arrested on suspicion of filing a false report to police. Morgan was released from jail on $20,000 bail. The LAPD is investigating reports of elder abuse against Lee. Former Lee attorney Tom Lallas is now acting as Guardian Ad Litem for Lee. Days before Morgan's arrest, a 45-second video was recorded of Lee and posted to Twitter in which Lee made it clear Morgan was the only person with whom he now worked and allowed to represent him. "My only partner and business manager is @KeyaMorgan, not all the other people making false claims," the post read, along with the video. In April, THR exposed that the 95-year-old Lee — who co-created such legendary comic characters as Spider-Man, Black Panther, Iron Man, X-Men and the Fantastic Four, among many others — was caught in the middle of a war of words among those closest to him, all of whom were vying for control over Lee's life, allegedly for their own financial gain. Morgan, who has long been involved in the pop-culture memorabilia scene, was one of the subjects of the lengthy THR investigation. The other parties involved were Lee's 67-year-old daughter J.C., publicist-turned-caretaker Jerry Olivarez and Lee's former road manager Max Anderson. Lee's wife of 70 years, Joan, died last July. A number of celebrities have publicly shared their concern over the creator’s well-being. Sources with knowledge of the situation have told THR that Lee's health has notably declined in recent months and his memory is in poor shape. In February, Lee signed a declaration (THR obtained a copy) that claimed J.C. demanded money from him and insisted that men with "bad intentions" surrounded Lee and influenced the family to "gain control over my assets, property and money." These individuals included Morgan. However, a video of Lee shortly thereafter posted to his Twitter account called the declaration "misleading" and "insulting," and the Marvel creator insisted "my relationship with my daughter has never been better."

  18. Kinda like when it was reported by virtually every main stream media site that Kim Jong Un fed his uncle to a pack of dogs and had his ex-girlfriend executed by firing squad but then they both turned up alive and well. Maybe we're not being given the most accurate info. Not saying the guy is a saint, just saying we've been spoon fed a few blatant lies about him Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  19. Or maybe he's just more aware of things going on around him and how they relate and doesn't rely on corporate media and politically tinted glasses to perceive the world around him Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  20. I figured there'd be a NYC thread but didn't see one scrolling down and tapa search turned up nada. Will be in NY next week and have read they now have a few credible bbq joints. Naturally skeptical but want to hit one up if anyone has recommendations Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  21. Not sure if you're referring to me because of the examples I gave, it was just the first two people that came to mind but I agree with what you said 100% Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  22. This. It is hard to believe the sheer scope of what some people are claiming it to be but when you have Bill Clinton taking the "Lolita Express" to Epstein Island 26 times and Tony Podesta openly having pics of nude kids in his house, not to mention the statue of one of Jeffrey Dahmers victims I think those could be indicators of how high it goes and how sick and twisted it could end up being. It'll be interesting though, I just hope Allison Mack and the Raniere guy start naming names.
