  1. Lmao at everyone thinking WVU would run the table
  2. Anyone not at 100% should be held out of UH game. Playing BYU’s grown ass men followed by KSU will be physically taxing.
  3. Considering the fact that we've had multiple fool's gold "signature wins" during our shit decade, that thread was way too pre-mature. "Scary good" is something that was appropriate say on 22 Oct 2005. On that day we skullfucked a #10 ranked Tech team, tallying our seventh win of the season and sixth game of a 25+ pt margin of victory.
  4. Holy fucking shit. This x 100. I was hoping to see him in 4x WR sets, rather than trying to force a gimpy Sanders to perform.
  5. I think it will tell a lot about our player's mentality and will, as well as the coaching staff's leadership. I remember Alabama's defense getting lit up by Ole Miss in 2015 (43 pts) and then proceeding to average 11 points allowed per game through the CFP semifinal. I'm not saying we're a carbon copy of that team, but we do have great talent and capability. I would never say I'm "happy" with a loss like that. That is in fact "loser talk". But now that what's done is done, I do appreciate the opportunity that the team has to grow and bounce back. Having a bye week to physically recover and a "tune up" against one of the easier conference opponents on the 21st also sets us up nicely for the second half of the season. We will see if we have the mental toughness and resiliency that is evident in championship caliber teams.
  6. You sound like you’ve caught a few in “Socali”
  7. Another thing to entrench into our player psyche (mostly OL): Don’t just fucking stand there when a OU linebacker is standing over your QB and smashing his helmet into your QB’s while taunting him.
  8. The October schedule is set up very well for us. A bye week after the RRS game is huge. It gives us much needed time to heal. While taking a bye after a loss can be painful as a fan, it actually seems like a blessing in disguise for the team. We can learn a lot from what OU exposed of us and eliminates any possibility of us continuing to get drunk off of our own kool aid. We come back to a relatively weak Houston team to tune us up in preparation for BYU. Let’s see how we respond and attack the remaining six games.
  9. Clock management was decent. I expect my DC to have the ability to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of opposing QBs and adjust as necessary to neutralize them.
  10. “PK has entered the chat”
  11. Almost walked out of the stadium after witnessing that. If they were going to be so fucking uninspired and weak hearted, then why the fuck should I waste my time and voice chords cheering on them.
  12. That’d be comically bad, I can see then getting surprised by KU though.
  13. I can see TCU or ISU. If we can’t get up for BYU at home, then we don’t deserve to even think about a Big12 CG berth.
  14. The country club frowns upon this kind of behavior. What do you think this is? An elite college football program?
  15. By the 1:16 mark in Q4, it was painfully obvious that our DL was ineffective at pressuring DG. At some point you have to pick your poison. Blitzing can always get you burned, but connecting with the QB gets you sack (they had no TOs), or best case you force a fumble. DG is prone to poor decisions when pressured. PK chose to play prevent against a QB that plays significantly better when not pressured, and lost the game.
  16. To be fair, Gerg had a lot to do with the 2013 win. Also, that offensive line gave Brown and Gray massive holes to run through.
  17. I really wish I could be a fly on the wall for Sark/PK conversation after this game. The second we took the sack, we were playing for a field goal, barring OU falling for the draw offsides attempt by the offense on 4th and 4. I can’t imagine Sark thinking “my defense has held them scoreless for the past 20 minutes… I better go for it and score a TD, because by dipshit DC will revert to old habits and play prevent against the fastest defense in the nation”. I wish we could see what was going through Sark’s mind, during their game winning drive. I bet he was pretty frustrated to see the DBs 12+ yards off and no effective blitzes dialed up to disrupt DG.
  18. Posting that shit should be a bannable offense just like the Trey Millard hurdle gif from 2012.
  19. Agree on Ford playing like shit. He either was gimpy or just had his worst game of the season at the worst time. PK’s scheme is not something that I have a problem with as much as I do with some of his situational tendencies. What is frustrating is that I’ve seen him dial up blitzes to seal close games. Baylor last year was one example, when Overshown crunched their QB. Ryan Watts could have rocked Bryce Young to take them out of FG range, but he whiffed. I’m just baffled as to why PK turtled at such a critical time yesterday.
  20. In game adjustments are allowed. Their first TD was an indicator that OU in fact was willing to risk using him as a runner. His run game isn’t the only thing that hurt us on their game winning drive. Our defensive line was not bringing enough pressure to make DG remotely uncomfortable in the pocket. PK’s tendency to play soft/prevent defense in critical points of the game is what my criticism is directed at. I would’ve rather seen us blitz him with Ant Hill, rather than play soft and get picked apart anyway.
