I have strep throat. I managed to scream profanities enough to completely lose voice, feel like I swallowed razor blades, and somehow teach my baby girls words they hadn’t heard to this point. Which is something after the Strong years.

2 weeks in a fucking row. Same. Damn. Play.

I swear it's like they're not teaching them how to contain rather then blindly rush upfield. Situation football. Our D just turns their brains off when the ball is snapped.

This has probably already been talked about, does okla losing help us at all?

Yes, we have the head to head win and both of us would have 2 conference loses.

    Plus, fuck those bastards!

  3. LOL, Dumbo pulls a player's facemask again after bitching at him for ten minutes that he didn't run route deep enough on 3rd down. His schtick should wear out quickly with the players.

Except it wasn’t. Didn’t get the second foot in.

It looks like he had a foot down when he got 2 hands on the ball and gained possession. That plus the second foot is probably what makes it a catch.

Here is something that would be mind bottling. Rather than just saving up scheme or plays for the top opponents, what if Herman actually goes so far as to “accept” losses to bad teams as the cost of winning the critical big games against the top teams.

Of course every coach tries to win every game, but how far do they go to win one particular game? Does he consciously make the decision to not go too far with OSU prep, even if it results in a loss, because he knows he has to save certain things for WV and OU? I highly doubt it, but it would be crazy if some of that was going on. Of course no coach would ever admit that even if they thought that way.

He essentially did this by disciplining the players. He was willing to lose this game to make an example out of them.

I guess it's good? But I'd rather have the win, which may be shortsighted.

While I agree, wins are all that matter. The talent difference between the teams they inherited is pretty staggering

Plus he was OC for 2 years before taking over as HC. That's a little bit different then the dumpster fire Herman walked into.

Is that more or less than the number of open receivers he's had when he's thrown into the ground or 5-10 yards off target? He's not losing the game tonight, but expecting him to bail out the team is foolhardy.

I'm glad the guy had the game of his life during the biggest game of the season so far, but I just absolutely don't get all the love for him. It's not that I think he's terrible; since he's quit throwing back breaking interceptions, he's....fine, I guess? All I know is that the guy has an uncanny ability to make an amazing plays followed by throws that look like something from a not-particularly-talented 7th grader.

    This....this is not aging well.
