  1. Username doesn't necessarily check out or anything. (<- So that it is documented)
  2. I think there'd be quite a bit more Paints if they weren't having to compete alongside the hundreds of loading, flashing "oh hey look at this new toy I found" gifs, of which maybe three even make sense in the same spirit as the average MS Paint. The MS Paint thread can die on its own if no one wants to put anything there, or if no one wants to look at it. Or at the very least try shooting for something like:
  3. What happened? The injury honestly didn't seem so serious. What's really happening goes back to the fact he was always going to be a project coming in, so I don't think it would be reasonable to have expected him to play by now.
  4. I feel I'm being too hard on him, because he hasn't done all that bad, and on a shitty ankle at that, but I really don't think his pocket presence has improved that much. Now, a couple of times it appears to be the ankle that limited him. He's done well some, but has also stepped into trouble, whether that be a sack or force of a bad throw. So throw the ankle plays out, and I think we still see the same guy in the pocket. Maybe he's more willing to take off now? I dunno. I do think he's throwing the ball a lot better as he goes along, though.
  5. In Oklahoma Every year on Halloween The Sooners Pump-Kin
  6. Fuck Oklahoma Never seen a native there Turnpike is cool though
  7. I haven't been to any of the games he's played, but in those games, dating back to last year, we have seen a hesitancy in his game at times. So no, him holding onto the ball is not just an ankle issue, it's part of what we've seen regardless. I do appreciate the kid, though.
  8. If I spritz beef I usually use normal vinegar mixed with water and some W sauce. If it's pork ribs/butt I'll cut the W sauce. Dunno why, but I do.
  9. Sometimes I like starting low and then cranking up. I rarely use the water pan (filled with sand) anymore. I'll just double up some of the thick foil from HEB and place it on the bottom grate. That's a good temporary heat sink for 2-3 hours or so. When I want to go hot I'll pull the foil through the door and open the vents.
  10. That's what I'm interested in right now. I'm tired of hearing about what these geeks saw on plays like this. I want to hear them explain what the tackler should have done that is both, A. humanly possible; and B. conductive to defensive football's purpose and demand on such a play.
  11. The difference is you're talking a kid who hasn't played in two years, the last time being in HS, and a 3rd year guy who started at UT last year. Let's not kid ourselves, Ewers is far more capable of hitting those shots than Card. It's not a debate.
  12. I have seen a couple of twitter ref types still hanging onto this thing. But what's more is that it most likely reflects the opinions of the ones who are being quiet about it. The roots are many and deep with this bullshit.
  13. But we do "take it anymore," is the problem. And it doesn't help when most color guys on TV (most of them) find some stupid way to defend it as if it'll help them keep their job.
  14. I hope it's that easy, or close to it. Unfortunately, I fear it will only get better, in college football, once the conferences clean out their conference officiating up top, while also leaving the NCAA.
  15. I'm not saying it's the right call or a good call or anything, I'm just saying the launch is going to add to it. And remember, there doesn't have to be helmet to helmet. Forcible contact with a shoulder can be targeting.
  16. That one's gunna get called more than Overshown's simply because the defender left his feet/launched.
  17. Well he didn't lead with his "crown," no, but the people I'm talking about are mentioning the leading with "helmet," which is targetting if using it to attack while making forcible contact to the "head or neck area" of the player. Also leading with the shoulder, elbow or whatever to attack and making forcible contact to the head or neck area is a targeting penalty. But so much of it is bullshit. Most of the time the speed of the game, what exactly players are physically capable of, and what the object of the fucking game is is tossed out of the window. 1st, in this case, Overshown comes out of a cannon, and honestly is probably shocked that QB is even right there. The QB isn't very far back, and is up in the pocket, so he really didn't have a chance to get lower and wrap him up around the waste. So what is he supposed to do? Side step and tackle him from behind? No, that's not football. The solution would be to get lower. BUT Overshown had no time to get much lower, and had he lowered then he probably DOES hit the QB with the crown of his helmet. It shouldn't be reality, is the point we're all making.
  18. I am sick and tired of these dumbass internet/twitter refs rushing to tell me how it was the right call. "First off he leads with his helmet." WHAT OTHER BODY PART DO YOU EXPECT TO BE LEADING? Your head will always be out front unless you're standing straight up, and no one stands straight up to make a tackle, or with their head angled back so that it is not out front. These kids can't change the order their body parts are stacked in. These dweebs need to get away from our game, they're fucking it up.
  19. I stormed your mom at Town Lake. #FIRSTIN #punintended
