It for sure has been. Not as much this year, though. Kid has been playing tall, and physical. He's getting heavy contact and grabbing on some of these routes where he's still catching. I've had to eat some crow from my thoughts on him coming into this season.CJ's biggest issue is that he doesn't play to his strengths consistently.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Evans probably thinks this is the best win he's ever seen on a football iron grid thing. "You can tell this team is an SEContender", probably

He's not wrong though. Evans has been dismissive in his comments regarding our performance this year.
After the TCU game, he says he wants to see how we perform against a better defense like OU. (LOL)
Now that we had our way with OU's defense, he's dismissing it as just a crazy rivalry game.
Maybe that's just how he is, but his tone is definitely not a positive one.
I think he's a JR kid who is being heavily influenced by some aggy BS. Not gunna disagree how dismissive he's been, but it's a long time to next year.
Obviously right now he's aggy.

Anyone go back and see what hamm said about mond during recruiting? Bet he was pumping him up just as big. Same as starkel, kyler, etc..
He said Mond reminded him of a much better Vince Young, but not quite Ryan Tannehill level
Kyler Murray was, and I quote, "a taller version of Colt McCoy, but with a higher upside."

We will go through this again next cycle with Lindberg. Hopefully Herman puts an end to this shit. Momma Bragg and the Little's are already pushing Stanford to the Lindberg family.
It's an uphill battle, but we're gunna have to sell Hand on these OL kids with the job he's done this year etc... It's hard to go up against what Shaw does with getting these kids ready for the pros + the hype of that Stanford education.
TBH, I don't think Little is progressing very well at Stanford in the little time I've seen him. Maybe just me.

Then again all 9.95ers make it seem like Texas has a real chance against Stanford when in reality they don’t.I think it was a case of the kid really liking Texas, but like in a lot of cases going where mom's leaning. I think Bragg really liked Texas, 995s probably underestimated mom a bit. That became clear at the end.

I remember early in his recruitment maybe spring or even earlier IT kept saying if Texas pushed he’d be a longhorn. Also made other references that Texas was slow playing him. Not like there was better options but they weren’t pushing/rushing him. Idk exact wording but they made it sound like he could’ve been a longhorn a long time ago.He was never going to be a Longhorn with acceptance into Stanford, whether UT was all over him or not.

The fong was on ej's pod recently and said Higgins is most likely going to Stanford. We def need an upgrade in WR recruiting. lost top 2 targets and now Higgins.
I think we probably might need that upgrade at WR recruiting also, but I'm wondering what all a WR coach/'crooter can do when a kid gets accepted into Stanford, when him and his mom become convinced he'll somehow get a better coaching job some day because he went to such a prestigious school vs. such an other prestigious school. Plus, they do actually develop these kids well for the pros.

Yah. I get that the QB room is the "best QB room Texas has had in a long time" or whatever we hear, but we've only seen Shane and Sam play, that's it. Seeing just those two, I don't think it's ridiculous for a fan to think they may need to upgrade that for next season.

I'd still say Bragg goes to Stanford, but I do wonder now what they're thinking watching the Little kid, who with his family helped sell the Braggs on Stanford, not developing very well at all under a new offensive line coach. While back home, a kid from the same class as Little (Cosmi), a far inferior prospect to Little (3*v 5*; #104 OT v #3 OT) seems to be overachieving with a new OL coach in Austin.
Fly on the wall, I wish I were.
